Aaron's crying in Dear Theodisia reprise killed me.... he sounded so sad (which he obviously is- his wife died-). he didn't know how to explain it to his daughter, which, in my opinion, is sadder.
I REALLY wished they'd kept Ten Thing, One Thing. Alexander version of it is just SO heartbreaking, how he just had BLIND faith that Burr wouldn't shoot him when he saw him point his gun in the air, and how Burr was just fighting to ensure Theodosia didn't become an orphan.
The fact that Alexander says “God I can’t want to see her again” about Eliza right before he dies is heartbreaking, I wish they kept that part. Also just imagining Eliza waking up and wondering where he is then finding out he’s gone 🥺 so sad
Not that this makes it much better, but Hamilton didn't die right away. I believe it was a day or two after he was shot. Eliza and Angelica were by his side when he died.

Congratulations should've stayed and I know that they scrapped it to make Burn a stronger song, but they could've added it after Burn
Ugh I love all of these so much, especially the reprise of Dear Theodosia (ducking tore my heart out, smashed it up and then pulverised it) and Congratulations (literally a masterpiece I don't know what else to say). I didn't know anything about this period of history before Hamilton (I'm from the uk, so I never encountered it in my classes) but these songs add so much background, fill the holes and make the characters seem much more rounded - especially Eliza and Burr. Even Ten Things, One Thing shows that Hamilton really cared about those he loved, and he wasn't purely career focused. I love this so much aaaah

They were going to accuse him of stealing from the govt, which he didn't do. He knew they were going to say that if he didn't offer an alternative explanation. So I guess back then less dishonorable to admit you cheated on your wife and got blackmailed for it. Maybe he didn't need to go into such detail in the Reynolds pamphlet, but he wanted to beat them to the punch, get it out there so it was done. Then the next scandal would take its place sooner.
i think "let it go" and "dear theodosia (reprise)" wouldve made the musical better for understanding Burr, everybody seems to put him is a villainous thought but those two songs really show his true colours, of how he actually truly cares of eliza and philip even though he has some beef with Hamilton. and, of course, the song of the death of his wife. really shows why hes very overprotective towards his daughter and screamed "I WILL NOT MAKE AN ORPHAN OF MY DAUGHTER."

At least "it's only a matter of time..."
Camila Scatone Bedin Honestly how dare you bring that up in my own home
Oh but they see each other the next morning :v although...
Alexander lived 2 days after he was shot though
“Gotta’ stop a homicide”
“OH!”
Iron Man approves this with Phillip at his side
I need Phillip's little 'Oh' as my ring tone 😂
*Insert surprised pikachu face*
Charlotte Rhodes IKR love it
You know your a real fan when you have even the deleted songs memorized
YEEESS
Yes!!
>Dear Theodosia, how to say to you, some time last night your mother breathed your name
>And like a flame that flickered out too soon she died, she's gone
How could they not have those lines included in the final version. That is amazing poetry.
I love how Burr insults Hamilton at the start of big songs
Pff
Burr:
How does a b a s t a r d-
s o n o f a ( some random borderline offensive word)
and a *Scotsman*
@@cara_melly *insert literally anything here, including "Dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot in the carribean by providence sksksjjejjds* grow up to be *insert a compliment here*
"Sorry if your life is difficult without your wife."
Now *THAT* was harsh
Which is (one of the reasons) why I like the original obedient servant more than the broadway version. Imeadiatly after that line Burr challenges Ham to a duel
@Keira Mullahy Hahaha
Time Stamp for that part?

@@coloredrain5302 thanks
The way Phillip said 'let him know we're on his side shows how supportive of his father he is. And then immediately after, Eliza's 'no, he'll consider this a personal slander, I've got to stop a homicides' show how much she knows Hamilton.
Lin puts so much more in the BURR in Schuyler defeated. The interaction is so much more aggressive.
the fact that someone shortened the original schuyler defeated should be considered a crime
Haylee Sci I love let it go
@Sil ! I feel like if they kept it then they would be hearing something from disney (cause this was back when Disney didn’t own it) because the song “let it go” is in frozen
Although it would be awesome
Kristen no I don’t think so because it’s just a song name and Disney didn’t create the phrase let it go
"I've gotta stop a homocide"
Did you just call Lin out? We'll meet at dawn. Guns drawn.
"Phillip never hurt a soul, he must have been so scared."
oh, look! tears..
ITS 1:16 AM HERE AND I HAD TO PAUSE THE VIDEO TO SOB AT THAT PART
IT FUCKED ME U P
I reallllly wish he would’ve included Ten things, one thing. The part about why hamilton put on his glasses would’ve shattered my soul
I love the fact that he is so protective over the schylers bc there the only family he has
"There's the kid who almost shot Charles Lee in the jaw" omfg was I the _only_ person who laughed at that?
superwholockians atkmart nope 😂
superwholockians atkmart I did XD
i laughed too hard at it XD especially since hamilton said "He should've shot him in the mouth, that'll shut him up"
superwholockians atkmart I did
Wait where is that 😂
Alexander was more of a hothead here. More historically accurate.
Honestly i preffer most of those songs instead of the bway version
BennyBoi same
I guess Lin-Manuel Miranda made it this way so the people watching would grow to favor Hamilton and think he was a good guy.
@@Fatima-vx5ws I mean he still did great things, just because you have a few mess up and you judgement is somewhat off doesn't negate all the good you do
That 10 duel commandments reprisal was something else tho. He cared for eliza so much more then.
for everyone that forgot the colors (and me😭)
Hamilton - Yellow
Burr - Red
Washington - Blue
Ensemble - Green
Madison - Orange
Eliza - Light Blue
Phillip - Violet??
Jefferson - Purple
Both (whoever was just singing) - Pink
Tyy😭🙏🏾
Dear Theodosia reprised is beautiful, they should've added it in and have it be a super simple set, with Burr sitting on the edge of the stage with a spotlight on him. It would've looked really awesome. Maybe some candles around lighting the stage.
Congratulations should've stayed and I know that they scrapped it to make Burn a stronger song, but they could've added it after Burn
I mean, they also needed exactly 47 songs so
It breaks my heart that Hamilton’s last line in Ten Things, One Thing is “God I can’t wait to see her again”
Drew Welker plus that being Eliza’s last line in Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story
*a h e m* nice profile picture ya got there . . .
He did see her again on his death "bed"
Even worse: "I left her a letter. I could've written it better." Never satisfied.
Linus your comment made me sob
Eliza: "i've got to stop a homocide"
Okay i know i should have not laughed but after i went well shit then. Eliza knew what was going down.
Panda Animations ah yes
I liked how Phillip afterwards was like "Oh crap she's right."
Lils Roleplayer i loved philip going “oh!”
“Gotta stop a homicide”
Eliza is too amazing for this world
Everyone’s talking about Schuyler Defeated, but we can just appreciate the Adams Administration?
YESSSSSSSSS BUT ELIZA WITH THE HOMICIDE LINE IN SCHUYLER DEFEATED THO
Burr: She's the same age as your boy!
Sassy Alex: yeaH? ONE DAY HE'LL RUN MANHATTAN

Oh!
yessssss best line amiright
I ONLY KNOW THIS VERSION, I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE ONE ON THE MUSICAL, I WAS SO CONFUSED
oH
no, my name is tyler I keep seeing you everywhere
I feel as if the songs that were cut really complete the story, and thought I’m saddened by them being left out, I love the idea that listening to this after becoming familiar with the normal storyline brings a renewal to the story, like another dimension. It’s like I don’t need a sequel
"WE HAWK AT DAWN"
*bird screeches in the distance*
(It's actually "Weehawken. Dawn." They met at Weehawken dueling grounds.)
Kris Kros i almost choked on air from laughing
Kris Kros I ALWAYS HEARD WE HAWK AT DAWN WHAT
I always heard WE HAWK AT DAWN. Oh gosh. Turns out A. Burr and A. Ham AREN'T birds.
Avril Pundzius I ALWAYS HEARD WE HAWK AT WHAT THE HELL NO
WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS "We harken, dawn" I'm so fucking confused
OOOOOH THE ADAMS ADMINISTRATION RAP IS LIT
AnimalLover02 I've learned the entire rap and ah it's so good I love it so much
AnimalLover02 I like it, but I prefer the show version, because of the 1776 reference.
Damien C. ya but that wouldn't have been hard to include in this version, there's a pause before where they could put "sit down john"
AnimalLover02 YA BET!
Katie ikr
Burr’s sing about Theodosia makes me wanna cry bro , him singing to his daughter his PRIDE AND JOY😭😭😭😭😭 about her mother

It finally made sense to me why he said, “this man will not make an orphan of my daughter.” I was always like, “but what about his wife?”
Im the 1000 likes.wow
IS NO ONE GONNA MENTION BURR’S VOICE WHEN IT BREAKS BECAUSE OF EMOTION IN DEAR THEODOSIA REPRISE? LIKE, IM IN TEARS
ikr i wish he kept it. I get why Lin needs to sing in the original dear theodosia but I honestly just prefer to have a version with just leslie's sweet voice.
Agreed, my friend was obsessed with the reprise and sang it all the time, I love it a little more than the original.
I don’t typically cry during songs, but I might of sheed a tear ( or two) during that part.
same
Bruvski just found a lot more emotion
When Angelica sings “Eliza” in congratulations you hear Lin really quietly saying “Eliza” too and it just breaks my heart because he had a choice and he regrets it and my little Linnamon roll oh lords
THEY NEED TO INCLUDE IT
Burr- Runs for senate
Alexander- Gets mad
Eliza- Turns into Elsa ❄️

Okay, Alex, we get you wanna be cool but here's a tip:
Never EVER bring up a mans dead wife, especially Burr. Please and thank you.
*+I got Dat Clean Content* *Burr's
Burr wasn't the dead wife
well i mean, if you want to be technical, if she's his wife her last name is Burr..
You know he's dead for likeee... 200 years, right?
I mean he does call Hamilton's mom a whore
Max Leon it's sarcasm
“God, I can’t wait to see her again.”
“My love, take your time. I’ll see you on the other side.”
Who gave you permission to hurt my heart
WHI GAVE YOU TE RIGHT- *sobs uncontrollably*
“Oh, I can’t wait to see you again. It’s only a matter of time.”
What part ? (Edit: oh nvm ;( )
John Trumbull: Unnecessary
OG Schuyler Defeated: Should’ve been kept
Let it go: Good but unnecessary plus Disney would sue
OG Adam’s Administration: I’m actually angry it wasn’t kept in. Hamilton’s message is 100x better in this. Plus it isn’t a 4 second message
Congratulations: Similar to Adam’s Administration, mad it’s not in since it’s another mostly solo Angelica song which is always amazing to have
Dear Theodosia Reprise: Beautiful but I didn’t want to cry anymore in act 2 so I’m not as mad they cut it
OG Your Obedient Servant: I like the new one more by a lot but I like the actual Obedient Servant part more
Ten things, One thing: I like that they replaced Hamiltons internal song part with his own countdown and I wish they used this
Sue for?
Bro I love Eliza’s voice so much 😭❤️
Burr: "Hamilton was wearing his glasses, why? if not to take deadly aim?"
Hamilton: "I put on my glasses so I can see"
bruh, he's just short-sighted, chill out
LMFAOO HAHAH
That's true tho-
This should get billions of likes lol 😹
That’s funny for 2 reasons
He couldn’t see in certain light and this was at dawn so he couldn’t see
"Sorry you life is harder without your wife"
HOLY SHIT HAM. YOU JUST MENTIONED HIS WIFES DEATH, THEN FUCKING ACCEPT HIS DUEL? THATS WHEN YOU KNOW YOU FUCKED UP. BUT WHY EVEN MENTION THAT, LIKE HOLY SHIT BRO, YOU NEED TO CHILL OUT. YOU OF ALL PEOPLE SHOULD UNDERSTAND HOW HARD A LOSS IS.
iiMisxchevious
That's why Lin removed that line
Maybe
Aaron burr *claps* wow don't blame ya lel...but still
Aaron burr burr....you should've waited for it XD
The Gaming Weabau lol
Aaron burr XD I regret nothing
Lin’s writing is truly amazing
I really wish the line about “throwing away [his] shot” made it into the final musical. That is such a wonderful showcase of a character arc.
“I will not let our family be embarrassed like this.” *writes about his own affair and publishes it*
Ik like W H Y
They were going to accuse him of stealing from the govt, which he didn't do. He knew they were going to say that if he didn't offer an alternative explanation. So I guess back then less dishonorable to admit you cheated on your wife and got blackmailed for it. Maybe he didn't need to go into such detail in the Reynolds pamphlet, but he wanted to beat them to the punch, get it out there so it was done. Then the next scandal would take its place sooner.

okay but cutting dear theodosia pt 2 is criminal

NO I AM NOT OK
NONE OF US ARE
@Gabrielle Nielsen NO, YOU!
Nobody in this fandom is
( trust me )
Scorched Rose Arts 420th like- ALSO I SCREAMED AND CRIED
i think "let it go" and "dear theodosia (reprise)" wouldve made the musical better for understanding Burr, everybody seems to put him is a villainous thought but those two songs really show his true colours, of how he actually truly cares of eliza and philip even though he has some beef with Hamilton. and, of course, the song of the death of his wife. really shows why hes very overprotective towards his daughter and screamed "I WILL NOT MAKE AN ORPHAN OF MY DAUGHTER."
Honestly, Same.
Saro510 and i think the original schuyler defeated and your obedient servant explains how intense the hamilton-burr feud was!!
I just said the exact opposite, as in Burr is actually a human being and not the "bad person" people intend to put him in.
Well said
Saro510 the musical is called Hamilton not burr but I agree
“I will not let our family be embarrassed like this!“ Yeah, if anyone’s gonna embarrass my family it’s gonna be me! Right, Alex?
Bro why tf did they cut the dear theodosia reprise. It added so much depth to burr

No, you are STUPID, stupid Hamilton...
Ya sure buddy
I didn’t think about that woah
Why isn't anyone talking about Congratulations? Angelica had so much anger in her voice. It's awesome!
That’s the only one I really liked. I seriously think it fits in with the rest of the play
It was the song that made me listen to the musical, I was disappointed it was a cut song
That's my favorite!

The mixtape of Hamilton has congratulations on its album and it’s WAYYY better in my opinion
Burr crying is the worst thing ive ever heard in my life. i need more of it
The line in the last verse of Your Obedient Servant is “Weehawken, dawn.” It’s a town.
