Grace Hanlon Lin mentions this in the book about the musical Hamilton. He’s proud of the fact that everyone in that section sings a line that applies to both of their characters. There was a backing track. There's not enough of them to sound like the whole cast recording. They were still singing of course
No backing track; if you watch some of the other videos of them performing at the White House, you will see that the entire ensemble is on a section off to the far right. The entire cast is present, but they are in a separate section.
For example, skip to 13:20 and you can see the ensemble section.

That was Angelica & Peggy in the ensemble section. The reason it's so faint is because they aren't using stage mics, they're using backstage ensemble mics. The tempo is slightly off from the original and you can tell that portions of the singing are slightly off anyway. Back track isn't possible with a slightly off tempo.
Daveed's voice is weirdly unique... and weirdly hot...
