This is a helpful video, thanks. I had decided to purchase the Fly More Combo because this is my 3rd drone and obviously I really love to fly, in addition, the prospect of purchasing extra or replacement batteries in the near future would have retroactively justified the extra cost savings of the Combo. I had no idea what the "Refresh Plan" was about - thank you for explaining it.
Buy the fly more combo on their eBay official refurbished store, at the price of the Basic Kit, 2 year warranty, free shipping. I just got a fly more combo for $449.
I bought the fly more combo and I believe it’s worth it. I fly this thing everyday and I’m pretty new to drones. I’ve owned cheap ghetto drones that ive crashed and lost
The batteries alone would make me chose the fly more combo. If Im already spending over $450 on a DRONE..... might as well spend the little extra to get the extra batteries and propellers. Good review, especially since you added the warranty/insurance plans. 👍
This is the best in-depth video i have seen regarding comparison of the basic vs the fly more combo. Also that additional info about the $49 /$79 DJI care was very helpful. Thank you!
Man, me and you are very similar when it comes to these kinds of purchases. We sit there and analyze and analyze... and then crunch numbers. I would probably not got for the fly more option but consider 1 extra battery. I feel like you can get a lot of footage in about an hour. I love the video quality of drones but don't have a ton of desire to record with one. Then you have to know about the laws associated with them. Another solid edition of GEAR!!!!
This is a very useful video dude! I love the amount of detail you put in your unboxing and comparison videos. Really helpful for anyone looking to buying this and not knowing the difference and wondering if it's worth the extra cash. Awesome job.
in Chile the fly more is around 1000 usd and the basic I got a good deal for 550 usd reg price was 700 . Got a extra battery for 70 and a generic bag from AliExpress for 12 bucks
I dont really need either one of them but i just want the better of them. I can pay 6 months no interest but i just dont know what id do with them beside flying around as i dont make videos. Therefor when my wife asks me why do i need to spend that much i wont have a good enough response. Any ideas you can throw at me is appreciated😆
drones always love them my brother has a one with crazy distance he literally puts in our poscode and annoys me at my window lol, thi one is 100% made for me as with his one is to high tech for me
Thanks for this video. You are right. Those extra batteries alone will cost $150. Extra propellers, screws, bags, cords and etc are not included. I think fly more combo is worth it. I’m just planning to fly for recreation. I think fly more combo gives you more options unlike just getting the basic. I’ll just take the 1 yr insurance for the drone.
Man I really want to get this drone but with the taxes and insurance plan, $700 is way too expensive for me. If I do buy it, I would get the Basic Kit and just pick up an extra battery if I need it. Might even be a hero and go sans Insurance Plan... don't take my advice folks! I'm just cheap...
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment oh, okayy thank you.🙏🏽 Your video answered my questions about the difference between those two boxes. Now, I guess I have to go for the basic kit for now since this it the first time I would buy a drone.
Hehe where I live I got no tax. I think I would get the basic kit and then buy the propeller holder and I think thats good! But maybe get another battery if I used it more.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Oh mann!, I really really really like your reviewed very deep in details. I just new for DJI mini2. Hope you talk more about this little gems....such as setting up, tips and tricks. Thank you in advance. ✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment basically the mini falls into the new category under 250g non-toy drones C0(open category A1) which means can be flown in congested areas and over uninvolved people(not crowds) without need of any certificate. Mavic pros can be flown in congested areas, but not over people and not less than 50m (horizontal distance) and only if you have have passed the A2 CORFC certificate(£100-£249 cost of the course). Also all drones above 250g that are currently available, as legacy drones, will all move into A3 category in 2023, meaning they can't be flown less than 150 m of any congested area or people(parks, leisure areas etc) www.heliguy.com/blogs/posts/uk-drone-laws-where-can-i-fly
The Mini 2 is a cool gift for Christmas. Very useful for outstanding filmography, also best value accessories kit here mate! Nice review as always I enjoy your product suggestions.
As someone who has flown many drones before (none are that fancy) I will say that having more than 1 battery is almost a need. This way you can charge one while using another. Also, extra propellers are more useful than most people think because sometimes you will chop some grass or hit a stick during takeoff/landing and harm a propeller
Ah, the ever present tax man sticking his tax stuff on everything but I was thinking of adding a drone to one of my other channels and this does look like a good investment
Remember folks, when the battery runs out you have to bring the drone back to you and change them out.Its not like the drone holds the extra batteries for a 90min continuous flight.
Charging hub and extra batteries your going to need them to fly would get the combo the refresh plan is important too and yea it adds up but in the long run it seems to be worth it 👍🏼
I've been meaning to get into drones for aerial footage. Thought about going the cheap route with the no name off the shelf to try it out but a established brand might be the only way to go. What's the footage like at 30 fps 4k?
That's exactly what I went thought at the cash register at best buy. Having never flown a drone before. Now I thought I got the care refresh but the price was 194.00 for 2 years. So now I dont know if I got the plan through best buy or what I have
Depends on the product. I couldn’t find anything specifically about the Mini 2. But basing it off the replacement of a Mavic, I’d guess around $50 to replace the drone the first time. Then $100 for a second one.
You could do commercial drone work with it, but I think you have to register the drone with the FAA and also get a license... I could be wrong though and welcome being corrected if this is untrue.
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment sincire I thinking about making yt videos by startin new yt channel and also to record my travells so not so much shure about all of that to happen but still interested in this i would like to say machine rather than just a drone. That's an insanely good deal! Wish I would have waited!
I’d go for the Basic Kit if anything, especially since I’ve only ever casually thought about filming let alone with an actual drone
Wise choice for your needs!
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment The basic kit is more affordable
The fly more combo sure does sound like its worth it if you are into drones.
I bought the fly more combo and I believe it’s worth it. I fly this thing everyday and I’m pretty new to drones. I’ve owned cheap ghetto drones that ive crashed and lost
“cheap ghetto” i’m rolling😭😂😂
This would actually be great for people who are just starting to learn filming. Even i have the urge to buy it 🤔
Such a fun little toy!

I have been wanting to get a drone for summer hikes - thaks for sharing!
The Costco kit comes with a spare battery and carrying case it says, Not sure about the charging hub
I think paying 599 plus tax is ok but I do think it is a better idea to get a cheaper drone.
This is probably the cheapest that actually shoots usable video in my opinion. But I do understand that price tag can be a bit much for some.

How do we activate dji refresh I bought it but I did not get any instructions or activation code
Hey! Did you buy your DJI refresh with the drone or separately?
I bought it all in same order from dji site
The refresh plan should be automatically bound to your drone if you purchased them together.
@@ThinkingArtEntertainment thank you is there a way I can confirm that with dji I sent mail to support site
You should have gotten an email from DJI that contain your agreement number linking to your drone’s serial number.
