I just got done viewing the footage in HD on a 85" TV I am pleasantly surprised. Just like I thought, the Mini 4K captures terrain in absolute stunnng quality. Superior to all drones in this price point.
So glad as I purchased this believing I was buying the mini2 and when I realised it was not I went into panic mode as I had seen nothing on the 4K. Sounds like it is much the replacement for the mini2. Scotland.
You are literally the only person I found that explained, in less than 30 seconds, how to lock the exposure on the Mini 4K. This is almost impossible to find anywhere else. Actually, I haven't found anyone else who has explained how to do this on the Mini 4K.
I would definitely recommend getting a nice Samsung device. Not only are they more powerful - they stay way cooler than iPhones/iPads. So happy after I switched!! No more heat issues!! 🙂👍
I do enjoy your videos, but I must confess that showing a double image of you and the drone camera was very disconcerting. I must confess that after 8 minutes, I just cut it short. Just a thought.
Thanks, my content is not the same as everyone else’s. My channel has grown because O do things a little different. Thank you for your suggestions, i appreciate your candid advice. I get great ideas and advice from many viewers.
Just bought a Mini 4K. Highly suggest the "Fly More" kit. Gives the case, the triple bay charger, 2 batteries for a total of 3, and the prop protector.
Hi, the video has already given so much value as you linked that iPad mount! I’ve started looking and you linking that has saved a lot of time. Do you use the RC connection cables that appear to come with the mount? If not what do you use to reach your IPad? Is the mount flimsy or a strong product? Thank you again for the help!
Nice first flight. The footage looks stunning, and that's me watching on a 65-inch QLED tv😍 Yeh, i heard that about iPhones that the screen dims when it's hot. I've never had that with my Android phone. Midrange Samsung android phones these days are very bright, I have a Samsung A55 with 1000 nits brightness 🌞 Which is brighter than the dji rc (700 nits) 👍 Did you notice that the controller is the RCN1C? It only has 1 battery 🔋 and uses roughly around 25% per flight. But it's good that it's lighter for travelling, etc... Keep the great videos coming 👌
Great choice. Love the first gen minis design and time proof. I actually dont mind using my phone as the screen aswell. As you know I just got my mini 2 se about a month ago now just got the regular basic pack with just the single battery with drone but bought an extra battery came to $405 Cdn. Last week just picked up the charging hub and two sets of extra props. Should of just got the fly more but was to poor to get all of it at one time.
I bought a Contiqo or whatever its called after flying a buddies mini 1. Paid $106 Cdn got home could not connect to my phone and while trying to turn off the power button broke internally so I returned it literally 30mins after getting it bought a my mini 2 se the next day. Kind of glad the buttin broke cause that drone was poo.
DJI has better range quality. About … Equal hover stability and a much more reliable camera. I would add firmware. DJI seems to behave better in all areas of hardware/software integration. I have flown the drones you mentioned and DJI designed the Mini 4k to be superior to them. DJI is a Billion dollar company.
Afternoon, Can I ask a question regarding the Tablet holder as I am looking at picking one up. Do you find the antenna signal weaker with the Tablet holder attached? As it looks like the holder is attached to the back of the antenna, would this not block or reduce the RC signal going out?
Depending on your phone, screen darkening is a problem in warm climates. If you use an Android device, you may be better on a phone. Some tablets offer a higher nit value up to 1000 nits is considered high. Screen viewable in daylight is the goal.
This is the best and smoothest video I've ever seen on the mini 4k :). Could I ask you if you used the ND filters for this video, what program did you use to edit it and what are the export settings? Thank you so much
motion blur should be reduced with higher frame rates on quadcopters that have native 4k60 and high bitrates. The Mini 4K is doing the best it can with the camera it has. You would need to invest in a more expensive drone with higher bitrates and larger sensor shooting in RAW. When I fly FPV with my DJI 03 system, I run my footage through GYROFLOW a stabilization program. This makes silky smooth video as well. Sorry I couldn't solve your problem, all you can do is slow down your drone and fly smooth as possible.
@@cryptoskillz yes. The mini 4k will do a great job. Learn how to LOCK exposure. So drone fires up, the camera sets the proper exposure in auto. Then you lock it in using the f1 button. You can customize that button specifically to set your exposure.
Great video why don't you use the controller that includes the screen instead of having to go with a tablet? Also, what are your thoughts on this mini 4K? Have you tried the mini 3 at all? I'm just wondering if I should go for a mini 3 as a first drone or a mini 4K. Have you tried the neo yet and what are your thoughts on that? I doubt the neo could compare in any way to this mini 4K for this kind of footage. Am I right?
Check out my channel library, I have flown every DJI drone and there are samples of each. Yes mini 3 mini 4, mini 2, mini 2se and yes, the original mini 1
I double tap the screen while flying my Mini 4K and in video mode (recording) however nothing happens. It does not show the little yellow sun that comes up when in camera mode. What am I missing?
Setup your function button in the DJI FlyAp so when you double press it, it locks your exposure. This is easier than tapping and busting using your touch screen.
NO you may want to upload your maps of the area you are flying. I usually have a hotspot on my phone I use to update anything. but once you have everything setup. you can choose not tethered to a network.
Hi, I just came across your very informative and great videos while looking for some information on the DJI Mini 4K. I am new to drones following the topic in "passive mode" (just watching videos on YT) for years every once in a while without acutally buying a drone. The Mini 4K is very tempting, so I am in the process of deciding whether to get the Mini 4K basic set or perhaps a used Mini 2 or Mini 3 (better f1,7) on ebay or an other of these platforms. I don't intend to invest more than $350-$400 to start with since I don't know if this hobby is really for me. 😅. So the Mini 3 Pro or 4 Pro would exceed the limit I don't want to go over now. You are recommending using a tablet instead of a phone (I have the 8" Apple iPad mini 4, but also the latest Amazon Fire tablet 8" (also a 7" version) so as an idea as what to buy I would go for the Mini 4K basic set and the things you are recommending here: the foldable tablet holder and the USB-C charger to start with and get the extra batteries perhaps later. All this over the Mini 4K Combo kit for $439. The drone would just be used as a hobby while perhaps travelling for which it is perfect. I would love to get your opinion on ths and I am in Europe (DE) without the Utah sun by the way ...😅
Yes, if you are just getting into the hobby, this is the best option for best experience. DJI is the king of drones. Don’t let anyone tell you different. I have only good experiences with These products.
The Mini 4k shoots in 4k and has bit rate of 100 where as the Mini 2 se shoots in 2.7k and a bit rate of 40 you will see a differents on a 4k tv or screen
Video ruined by that double image. We are here for the drone, man. We don't need to see the back of your head on half opacity. Couldn't finish the video.

your like the Bob Ross of droning! Keep em coming.

You can get filters for this drone and a phone hood to help with the sunshine issues.

Which RID module are you using with your Mini 4K?
ruclips.net/video/QufuZrT-8vw/видео.htmlsi=q7f7-gzBE8mM6Kwg
Since you have this drone registered, is RID required? Is that built in on the 4K or does it have to be added?

As a 107 pilot, flying on a monetized channel, Yes?
Being a 107 pilot, don't you need a RID module added to your sub 250g drone? I haven't seen one in any of your videos, and you are monetized?
nice area to fly there, dr
