I can’t believe how much technology is packed into this small drone. I bought it with the flymore kit and all the accessories including the goggles n3, the controller n3, the motion controller 3, the fpv controller 3. I just love it!
It’s a great little drone and certainly worth the money 👍😃. After buying mine, I then bought FPV goggles and controller.. and had my first FPV flights with it. Such fun! I think 5he Neo is a “taster drone” it’ll let you sample various modes.. cine..FPV..follow.. it’s a fantastic little thing. However.. due to its shape and lightweight design, it doesn’t like the wind. Which is a problem here in the Uk (certainly at the moment!). The Mini 4 Pro (and probably the 4K?) can handle the wind much better and apparently you can even fly FPV with the mini 4 pro.. but I haven’t tried it yet personally. Cheers Steve
I can fly my mini 3 pro FPV, so I'm sure you can with the mini 4 pro. It even has head tracking, which is super immersive. I fly self built fpv drones mostly, but the mini 3 pro in FPV is a nice, occasional change.
Tell me about those extra heavy duty bumpers and those orange props. Do they have any advantage over Original equipment? I love this little thing.. It kinda acts like a little kid, except it minds.

@@mikeCavalle neither, want a drone like a DJI Air 3 or a mini 4. Someone will need to operate it legally. I would shoot a top rear angle. The DJI air 3 has 40 min ft fewer batteries and amazing camera you can zoom.
Frankly while I love to use drones for video, I'd use a 360 camera like an Insta 360 mounted on an extendable selfie stick (I've got a reasonably-priced 9ft. stick that would work well for this) and strap the stick with bungee cords to something sturdy like a fence post. This would give you much more recording time rather than the short time on a drone battery, and let you reframe the video in post, rather than having to tend and aim the drone. It would also keep you from having to worry about legalities like potentially flying over people, etc. Just my $.02

You should be fine. The phone gps works even when your maps show blank. You should update your maps by looking at the area you intend in going when you have service.

I think the NEO is a great drone. I just have the drone right now but it's cool that I can keep adding accessories to it. I also wished my other controllers worked with this one since I have the AIR 2S and the Mini 4K and now I have to get the N3. I think it is a great first drone thought for all it can do.

Hi Chris AKA Dad Random ;) Just Bought the DJI Neo Fly more combo with Motion Controller 3, Goggles N3 and DJI FPV Contrer 3. I have not flown it yet but I will keep my original Mini 2 as it can fly in higher winds than the Neo and the Mini 2 is not worth anything anymore :) It is still a capable drone and I am sure the UK winds will blow the Neo away almost any day. I have a suggestion....now I have never flown or owned ANY drones. With that ignorance admitted...here is my suggestion...why not RF tag drones? OR...make it install at factory? It seems logical to me, is it the weight issue or what???

I've watched at least 2 dozen videos each on the DJI Mini 3, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, NEO, and the Air 2. Came so close to buying the Mini 4 Pro I was one click away from the purchase. But asked myself what kind of pilot am I? Or what am I not? I'm not movie maker. I'm not an influencer with a channel to feed all the time. And I asked myself when I didn't fly my Spark, why was that? Thanks for making it easier for me to buy the thing. Everyone has a wish list. More flight time, less noise, better camera ... but then that all gets nipped when you want simplicity and a smaller package. This little thing is going to be the most indoor friendly drone I've used and I'm looking forward to taking it more places. Places I didn't take my Spark because it was such a hassle. I'm now a subscriber and I look forward to more of your videos.

The NEO is an awesome piece of gear. At its price point limit your expectations. Would like DJI to add "Camera" with timed shots, say 5 Sec & 10 Sec intervals to ALL 6 of the NEO preset shooting modes. At present think only the "Spotlight mode" mode offers timed photos. Recognize that drone capture has been prioritized towards Videographers. Only offering the "Video" Camera Mode is a bit limiting. Primarily a Still photographer. With my Mavic 3 have captured some amazing stills. NEO Camera will have to wait for the NEO Pro so don’t big deal it. Simple an limited Camera/Still settings should be an easy add.
Just got the base neo (great Black Friday deal at £120 uk - unreal for a real Dji ) I’m using it with my phone to begin with as I don’t want the messy N3 + phone setup (hated that faff with the mini) , I’m after getting the RC2 which will.be forward compatible being O4 , Yeah it’s twice the price of the drone but I’ll be adding to this later ..
I like my Neo. Cool like drone to fly in manual mode in the house or yard. It's a 200 dollar drone. It is the cheap drone when talking DJI drones. So take that into consideration. But still buy one 😆
What was the purpose (at 2:21) for the beep-out while saying the word NEO? Actually, you did it twice, and was very annoying, as was flashing the words DJI/Neo multiple times. Unfortunately, I could not finish watching the rest of the video because it was like watching a poorly produced DJI ad.
He said the name of the wrong drone. So he bleeped it out and put the correct word onscreen. Don't be overly critical. Everyone doesn't have a full film crew and editing team.

The neo is great for the price and the fly more combo is awesome, but the video quality is just not the same as the more expensive drones, the main problem I have with the neo is it’s wind sensitivity, it really restricts when you can fly it, where as the mini 4 pro fly more combo gives you so much more flexibility in wind, but it is twice the price… neo is definitely awesome for a first drone though! Great video! I bought the neo first, but then bought the DJI Mini 4 Pro 4 weeks later.
Not much of a noticeable difference though. I'll stick with the Mini 4K for the weight. Not to mention the other features that the Neo doesn't have. And by the time you buy a controller it's more expensive for the Neo anyway...what's the point?? Indoor flying??
@@InnerSanctum77no. It's convenience. There's no setup time. See something you want to film? Turn it on and film it. No unfolding, connecting remotes and phones etc etc, even though you can fly it like that if you want. Between the follow modes, on drone quick shots, and using your phone as a remote, you can do basically anything quickly. I consider the Neo's use case like how you would use and action cam, where the Minis/Mavics would be your DSLR.
It’s just as expensive as a mini 4K if you buy it with the controller. Which is needed for all you are showing. But it’s a better beginner drone than the 4K but has worse video quality.

Try the gemfan d51 5 blade props. They are game changers. Super quiet and way more stable in wind.

the issue of tracking drones was solved with the GPS and good software. Only drones without these two features have I had trouble with

Just know that if you lose connection to your phone, Neo will not automatically return home. It will land where it lost signal after the battery dies.
