As a beginner, I’m glad I got the fly more package. By the time you get the drone up and practise a few shots it’s time to come back down (giving yourself enough time). I’ve used at least 2 batteries ever find I’ve been out. I think it would have been super frustrating to pack up after 1 battery. Also it’s nice to have the case and charger.
@@ob882 I’m exaggerating the point. Bare in mind the drone wants to return when down to 20% battery and starts beeping. It’s just hardly worth driving somewhere to get a drone shot if you’ve only got one battery. You won’t nail a video shot first time, it takes a bit of flying around to position for the shot you want so if you’re planning on getting a nice amount of interesting footage, you need the extra batteries. Often 2-3 is limiting enough. And charging time is pretty slow.
@@Torlboycharging time isn't slow your charger is slow. use a power delivery enabled power bank and a capable charger and it will charge in only 1 hour or so, I do agree that 1 is too little but 3 is excessive since you can use 1 then charge it for 30 minutes while using the second one and only wait 30 minutes until it charges again
Get the fly more. Especially if you are beginner (like me). You have extra props for any “unexpected landings” I call them. Also just FYI folks, after the drone is up and running, you ONLY HAVE 48 HOURS to decide whether or not to get the insurance, just throwing that out there too. Great video sir!
There's no question that the Fly more Combo is good value when compared against the price of the individual extra parts. The real questions are over the choice of what extras are included. If these are extras you want, it's clearly good value. If it's extras you don't want, or if extras you do want are not included then its value is more questionable. The extra batteries, props, screws, and the charging hub are no-brainers. However, as a newcomer to drones who was close to buying the original Mini when the Mini 2 was announced, I'm feeling conflicted. The prop guard is important to me so I can start off with some very simple indoor flying where I imagine fitting the guard would be very wise! (I do appreciate that it puts the drone over 250g so, without registering in the UK, cannot legally be used outdoors, and I also understand that for experienced flyers a guard might be superfluous.) Admittedly it's just an additional £19 but it's disappointing that the Mini 2 Fly More Combo does not include it when the original Combo did. Add to that, here the Combo costs £40 more for the Mini 2 than it does for the Mini, so I feel like I'd be paying more for something that gives me less., which irks. Initially, I was disappointed that the neat wee case with the original Mini is being replaced by the larger shoulder bag. However, I've noted opinions, and there is also the fact that the controller is now a bit larger, so I'm coming around to that change. By changing what's included in the Combo and increasing its extra cost, did DJI consider that they might be annoying some people, or do they just not care about that? It does feel a bit manipulative, especially now that I hear about spare batteries being unavailable unless opting for the Combo. I now have to decide (on a tight budget) if an extra £140 (plus £19 for the prop guard, so really an extra £159) is worth it for the improvements in the Mini 2. I'm not likely to fly far enough, or close enough to obstacles, for the extra range of the Ocusync 2.0 to be a big plus, but it would still provide some peace of mind. Improved ability in windier conditions is a plus, especially where I live. The video improvements probably won't make any difference to the project I have in mine, though I might end up regretting it later. As a photographer, RAW files are very desirable. (I'd love the Mavic Air 2 for the still and video capabilities but it's just too much for my budget, and over the 250g limit of course.) Decisions, decisions!
Oh it was absolutely worth it in my opinion. I would like to add that I am extremely impressed with the video quality. It is such a joy to fly that even though the batteries last 25+ minutes, the 3 batteries in the Fly More Kit are a must.
only need 2 in my opinion, with a decent power bank with quick charge enabled, the battery recharges in about a hour which isn't the duration of the flight time but good enough for me 👍
I disagree. I dumped my mavic pro and air, dumped the Fuji xt2, dumped the tech backpacks etc, and waited for the mini 2 for the sole reason of portability while one bag traveling. I now can keep my mini 2, GoPro 8, Fuji xt20 (w 2 lenses) all in one Tenba byob insert. Fits in my minaal 2.0 carry on with all my clothes and toiletries. Pull the tenba out in new city and I’m off for the day. If anything I’d just get one more battery but for most of the time I’ve never needed one. I find myself capturing more footage when I’ve got everything in one little tenba. Goes everywhere w me. Call me crazy. I know YMMV but my mileage didn’t involved fly more combo
i think 3 batteries is excessive at best, the charger is pretty cool but you need a powerful charger to really make the most out of it, personally i got the 310 pound base model and went to cex and got another battery for only 25 pound (fly more kit is 430 pound), so definitely not worth it, and i printed my own case, in which online 3d printing services are super cheap nower days
I always go for the combo. The extra batteries and charging hub are worth it. One possible exception: Since I have the Mavic Mini 1 combo, I can use the charging hub and batteries from that with the Mini 2.
Definitely go for the Fly More. I bought a Mini 1 Fly More in which the drone is broken as well as the Mini2 Fly More. That's six batteries, just about enough.
The costco bundle ($439) gives you a lot (drone, extra battery, extra props, sd card, and a bag) for less than the standalone price. If you have a membership, you might give this a look. You can add the extra pieces you want and get in for less.
The extra battery + battery Hub is worth having, but it is difficult to see a discount for DJI combo. I finally bought the discounted stand-alone version + 2 mini 1 battery and additional charger, which saves about 15% compared to combo
I believe the answer is no to both questions. I’m not 100% certain but DJI has FS supported the Goggles RE in a while. They announced compatibility with the MA2 remote but that is it. There isn’t a reason both couldn’t work but I don’t think either will.
I don’t have an answer for the goggles, but know it definitely will not work with a Mavic 2 controller. However, it is the identical controller to the Mavic air 2 with the exception of some of the printing on the outside of the Mini 2 controller. Innoway that’s a shame because the mini two controller is ginormous whereas the Mavic 2 controller is the same size as the old mini one controller and much more portable. Consequently the Mini 2 needs a larger case than the old Mini 1 does, in spite of the drones being identical sizes. The new controller is a behemoth.
I crashed my mini and thinking of getting a mini 2. Since the mini batteries would work on mini 2. Can I save by just buying the non combo. I would be carrying the drone in my camera backpack or the mini case. Two things 1. Do I get extra propellers in the mini 2 non combo pack and 2. Would I be able to charge mini 2 battery in the mini 1 charging hub ? Many thanks !

They really cheated out on this new bag the og mini’s hard case was way better dude what u on about
nice video, I prefer hard case even if it is larger, can lay things out nicely and easier getting to your stuff than searching thru a bag.
Agreed. GPC are the best
Has anyone ever told you that you sound like Alan Alda? :)
Nope. That’s a first.
@@HalfChrome I'm old and really liked MASH as a kid. Ha
Nice job on the video...
Thanks. Great show
Hello
I wish I have dji drone too so I can continue my aerial vlog..
Offcourse
Give my one please
Dji didn't sell any batteries for the first mini for litterly months. I'm guessing they will do the same with the mini 2. They are kind of forcing you to buy the combo.
The fly more is the only way to get them right now.
The Mavic mini original batteries work for the Mini 2
@@thegee9586 They put it over 250 grams if that matters to you.
fact you
Unboxing videos... Ends my viewing!!
Makes me crazy!!
Sorry. There was more after. You can always skip.
Great. Who the F cares if you left...you wasted even more time posting a moronic reply 🤔
According to there price and improvements in the drone dji mini 2 is better than mavic mini ...
In a nutshell, no it’s not worth the price, DJI are a greedy manufacturer. Overpriced drone. I’ll stick to my hs720e.
really? ok so hs720e cost arround 240 but... the quality compared to dji mini 2 isnt good for 200 extra you got the mini 2 wich quality like comes closer to the mavic air 2 and mavic pro etc dji mini 2 comes with the ocusync meaning alot more stable connection us goes 10km far in europe it goes 6km far something hs720e can never do because of its wifi connection and with the new rules coming you need a licence to fly a drone that weight more then 250g so dji over priced their drones? no their not they dont even have competition with the quality drones they deliver not saying hs720e is bad for its price range but dji isnt expensive at all for what you get :) also the stability of the videos are the most insane with the dji drones :)
Are you stoned?
Way overpriced. Batteries should be $25. Props $6
Not really. Bats are expensive to make and to sell plus all the over costs
U would be lucky to get one for 70 dollars
Props are something to see how materialy light it can be and makes the the labor taxes go way up so I feel it's fair pricr
Not for India
