I feel like I've learned SO much from you Richard. I told a high end GM tech how certain GM/NP transfer cases used 48RE overdrive clutches. He questioned how I knew that. You know how I knew that
It’s like him using Allison clutches in older GM transmission set up for performance talks about how the clutch will chew the steel first. Building shift kits from nothing. Awesome 😎
I love watching your videos, have been watching for years. It would be awesome if you did a few videos on the rebuilding process, that's where I'd love to see your years of experience come out and shine!
I have been watching his videos off and on for a while and I can't think of a time I have seen one where he built a transmission. I'm sure he has but I haven't seen one.
@@charleshaggard4341 He did one where he rebuilt a 350, but a lot of the sub-assemblies had already been set up and pre-assembled so it was more like a re-rebuild.
$100.00, WELL SPENT! If, someone will listen closely, to your tear down videos. They can build the transmission, your tearing down! Great job, sir! Some people, want everything spoon fed, to them. Thank you, Richard and Teresa.
One of your better 4l60 vids Rich but if you want us sticking around please give us a few assembly vids on simple things like clutch pack clearance setups and proper end play spec procedures and the like. We don't need a whole a-z deal but the highlights of those things would be helpful.
I wish you were closer to Georgia. I would have Richard rebuild my transmission. There is nothing wrong with it, but I would know nothing would every be wrong with it. Love all y'alls videos. Richard is a transmission God.
Great information, learned from many years of experience. All the technical information ( the extra hints you add ) can be found where ? I can replace parts with identical parts but knowing what parts are better and why are priceless, thanks. Are there any books ? All GM stuff here 😊 Assembly video with the better parts would be awesome ❤❤
I'm wanting to try that check ball mod you talk about at 16:08 on my 85 700R4. I have lost lockup for some reason, but it shifts 1-4 fine. What size check ball is needed? And with this mod, is lockup in 4th. gear only?
Hello, love the content. Almost has me wanting to buy a core to educate myself by doing. ---------- Do you have a shop still there in Amarillo ? Just in case I need a trans rebuilt and am in the area.
Richard I’d be curious if you’ve ever rebuilt/modified the original GM Hydramatic (40s/50s). Would make for a great video if you can get your hands on one.
Richard, are you taking in work in general or only for You Tube content? I had plans to bring an 8.8 GT500 rear end to you, as well as builds on a 4r100 and 5r100 trans both behind diesel.....at the other shop....is that still doable in your new shop?
They change the pump change the forward, clutches the thickness change, the reverse clutches, Change the case change the valve plate added to forward accumulator 700 and the 4L 60 are different
I think I’ve seen him explain that in other videos where the extra clutch would make the shift too aggressive for that particular build. Perhaps I’m wrong tho but I think he said that. I’ve watched hundreds of his videos so I could be wrong. Lol
@@TsunauticusIV ur probably right. N so have i. I don't think there is 1 of his videos from either channel I haven't seen n seen multiple times. I've built 5 of my own successfully. 1 being a 48re. I loved that build.
Richard is the Einstein of the transmission world his knowledge seems endless truly enjoy watching you both

Incredible knowledge.
Please make a few videos of building the transmission for us!
You definitely know your stuff..!! Congratulations!
I’m a simple man, I see a Richard and Teresa video and I like it.
It’s a big bonus that it’s a 4l60 video though!
Professional mechanics should get CEU’s for watching your video’s. Enjoying the channel. Tks for sharing.
That Chevy suv would be a good build video. Just you taking your time and showing how it done right. I would love to see it
Thank you for show the lock up trick with the fourth hear pressure switch. Did that this weekend works great
you continue to amaze me with all your knowledge.
Consummate professional here folks. Thanks for the lesson, Richard!
Ms'teresa and Mr transmission at their best !👍👍👍👍👍🤠🐕 Boston wise guy ! Great channel !

Still amazed at your knowledge Richard thanks for the great videos.
LOVE UR WORK RICHARD. CAN WE PLS SEE A BUILD VIDEO.. ALWAYS TEARDOWNS NEVER BUILDS. THANKS
Oh the memories working in the Cbo dealer in town back in the early 80,s ,them first 700r4,s were junk ,thinking they rushed them out
Thank both of y’all. I look forward to seeing your videos
I’m always thinking I’m gonna tear a trans apart and fix it..then I watch one of your videos and the reality of NOPE sets in..🤗🤗

Where did the '72 Chevy Truck go? That was a beaut! 👍
That’s speedometer set up is identical to the 90 through 92 Cadillac brougham mechanically driven electronic speed sensor
Take your time bud it always seems like you’re in a hurry
love your videos keep it up !!
Thank You.

No video of the 4wd transmission?
Hello Richard; have you done any step by step rebuilding videos on 4L60e transmissions?
you need a wheeled tool cart you can have besides you

Rinse and repeat.
Just got a pretty good 700r4 core in don’t need it.
Why grind the land on the pressure regulator? Just curious
4l60 and the 700 are the same transmission, GM just changed the way they word things.
They change the pump change the forward, clutches the thickness change, the reverse clutches, Change the case change the valve plate added to forward accumulator 700 and the 4L 60 are different
Any chance you guys can provide a link for that 44 PSI pressure switch? So I can buy it
I wish they did carry out transmissions I would send them my 700r4.
Why even put two holes in the tail shaft if only one lines up the gears?
Truthfully, I haven’t figured that out either
@@richardteresacricheducatio3542 Thanks Richard. Merry Christmas!
Does your boy own the old shop now???
Super curious why would you add 2 steels to get rid of the wave and not add an extra clutch?

Do you have t-shirts for sale ?
Thought you retired, am I missing something???
We are retired. Hobby shop. 😆
Well congrats!!!!!
So Richard,do you have a part # for the tcc control pressure switch?
Who the hell goes from fuel injection to a crappy carburetor 🤦
When I can triple the power and have no computer … Winning !!!
