Had the same thing happen at my dealership, had a ZO6 in for repairs and noticed a warranty block, turns out the owner had changed to a vanity license plate after purchase and it flagged it as being sold due to the change on the registration, the owner contacted GN and it was resolved 👍🏼, so it will get worked out man

The way contract law works is that they (the party claiming breech) has to prove that you had indeed sold the car within 6-months; you do not have to prove that you didn't. You should simply DEMAND that GM provide PROOF and SPECIFICS of their claim of transfer of ownership from you to somebody else within six months of purchasing the car.

That has to be just a glitch, your dealership should go to bat for you, they should have done the service (cause you purchased it from them new) and argued it with GM for you. I am sure , unless there is more to the story, it will get fixed. Good luck!

@@corvetteposse7717I had a similiar issue with an early Vin car. They wouldn’t give me my GM bonus points. Fortunately I called the last day I was eligible to request the points and they fought it. Opened a claim and got my points in 2 weeks. I paid $30k over. Tried to sell the car for $10k with 5 miles and plastic on it for 9 months. Finally gave up and am driving the car. Currently I’m pissed about the ERAY smoking the Z06 for regular consumers. When they used the Z body style I knew my Z was worth $85k. The 2.1 0-60 confirmed it. I live in Seattle and AWD is exactly what I need to drive year round. The corvette has been the worst rollout in history. Record all conversations and spend $500 on an Attorney.

Yeah your dealership should have covered it especially just an old change and transmission filter change and build the GM manufacturer for it or just eaten the money that cost to perform those two services because they are the ones that gave you the guarantee and not the manufacturer... So like I said in my previous comment that's why GM and the dealerships don't give a shit about you and that's proof

I'm going to throw out a guess. The selling dealer purchased the vehicle from a flipper. It was in the flippers name. When you bought the car it changed hands, making you the 2nd owner. That would make the 24 day time-line understandable. Since that would show on a DMV system.
The selling dealer may have told you it was "new" but it wasn't. You may have signed paperwork and not noticed the box was checked used, even if it only had 23 miles or so.
That's why the warranty is voided.
Could be totally wrong, but just a thought.

In the future, other companies are going to use Corvettes brand management as an example of what NOT TO DO. This company was red hot on the launch of the C8 but quickly went downhill and fast. Dozens of plant closures, stealerships charging crazy money over sticker, handing out cars to "influencers" who flip anyways, complete botched Z06 launch, almost no Z07 package availability even though it was heavily marketed, forcing buyers to sign 6 month no flip documents even though dealerships do it, voiding warranty when the platform is totally busted, and unreliable engines and transmissions that are blowing up left, right and center..
Total disaster from GM. Myself and many folks I know have completely lost any faith and respect for the brand. Real shame because the engineers tried swinging for the fences with this new generation, but thanks to management and other leadership figures, everything since the C8 launch has been an utter failure. Covid plant shutdowns were the only real excusable matter.
On a side note, I've watched the video and that rear wheel arch panel gap is atrocious. My C8 had similar defects that I had to fix. I'd recommend taking it to the dealership and having them fix that because that's unacceptable on a $100k+ car lol. The bumper isn't lining up right with that wheel arch panel at all.

I love looking at them but 160,000 for a vette with 8 percent financing you have to be out of your mind. It’s one thing if you can pay for it in cash. If you’re financing 100k that’s like 20k on top of the 160 just in interest alone.

This is exactly why I stopped buying American Cars! I went to buy a 2022 C8 and they gave such a hard time, I went and bought a BMW! Best decision I made! I bought a 2013 C6 Grand Sport & 2016 C7 Z51 Mag ride and GM always tried blaming anything on User error. Both cars had factor and extended warranties with low mileage, but GM always wanted me to pay for any warranty work they performed. I'm so happy I went Non American on my last purchase & i'm a Retired Army Combat Veteran. It sickens me that I can't trust American Builders!

GM warranties are a joke. I bought a GM warranty when I bought my ram truck(a mopar warranty was not available on my truck) I went to file a claim to get my rear window fixed but was denied. The dealership I bought my truck from told me it was in a fender bender which I had no problem with but after I talked with my insurance agent, they informed me that my truck had to have the bumper replaced, the exhaust replaced, and the tailgate replaced. The "fender bender" also knocked seals in the rear window loose and causes my window to leak and the motor in the sliding window corroded and no longer opens or close. GM is a rip off and waste

The horror story's on that forum in the c8 section has just made me realize I don't want any part of the C8 madness. My wife just got a 24 BMW M4 Competition and I have a 23 Raptor R they are both excellent vehicles BMW and Ford service has been top notch. GM really needs to get there act together My C7 Z is my last vette I will own. Hope it workout for you if not try to dump it as quickly as possible before the valve train and DCT give you problems.

    Hey Rich!
What does a CARFAX say? Does it state that there was an ownership change? This should be quickly resolved upon submitting your proof that you have been the SOLE owner since purchase, but as we all know, companies tend to drag their feet when dealing with individual customers without LEGAL representation, so you may be best served letting an experienced lawyer introduce your concerns. Good Luck and I'll await any progress you report!

I can tell you right now that you're screwed. GM doesn't give a shit about you or your loss in equity with the car. I drive a 2016 GMC Sierra z71. And I bought my son a 2018 GMC canyon. I e always been a gmc fan or really GM fan as I've owned everything from a z28 to a z71. Never really had issues with anything until the present 2 vehicles I have now. And it seems to be issue after issue. Mostly transmission problems. Mine went out at 72,000 miles. They have a service bulletin on my transmission not a recall. Which means they don't have to tell you about it unless you come in with a problem I didn't know that they had a service bulletin so I never took my truck up there after the warranty ran out with the transmission problem so I had to pay out of pocket nearly $5,000 to replace the transmission with a rebuilt one... If they have a service bulletin because they have an issue with their transmission and they understand it and they're willing to fix the issue free why not tell people about it so that they don't have to come out of pocket to replace an already faulty transmission but they don't do that and I get no reimbursement for anything that I've spent replacing my transmission... That is piss poor business ethics if you ask me their customer service has become shit lately they seem like they try to do anything and everything to avoid having to cover warranties or take responsibility for their shitty craftsmanship these days... And yet the United Auto workers Union is so quick to push for higher paying wages from these workers that are making these shitty automobiles.... I got no problem with them making more money if they met a quality vehicle but they do not anymore because they're all wanting a free handout and they're all wanting something for nothing these days... And it's gotten so bad now that you can't even buy a GMC truck for less than $50,000.... That's how proud they are of their trucks that are shit now.... I will not buy another GM or GMC vehicle again until they've proven that they've got a quality vehicle and a lot better customer service.... And are willing to look out for the customer rather than a company first and foremost... For now my money will go to Ford or Dodge and GM will not get a dime of my money because of how piss poor the company has become.... I'm sorry for your situation my brother Hope it works out for the best for you but I have a funny feeling you're going to have to get an attorney to get this turn around and I don't think that if it's been reported to Carfax that it will ever get completely turned around that takes an act to Congress... And that's a whole different subject because Congress is not on our side anymore they're on the side of whoever's given the biggest handouts and the biggest kickbacks to them which would be GM.

Car markers are sticking it to buyer's. Transmissions that blow up at 20k 50k 70k, engines that blow up at 12k 20k 70k lucky you made it 100k. Buyers seem ok with it. Dealership would need to call the cops on me if I paid half as much as you did for that corvette and any of the new car problems go down. Fell bad for you. But hey Chevy got their money from you.
