    Great News! Glad GM came around to do the right thing 👌🏻👍🏻 you should have gotten an apology

    Interesting to see your video. I too am having a similar issue with my c8 Z06. I did buy it used, but the original owner had it for 8 months before selling it according to the Carfax. He then sold it to a dealer that I bought it from. Interestingly, everything from GM says my warranty hasn't been voided, but I took it to a reputable dealer and they said they wouldn't work on it because it was "in the process of being voided". I'm so angry that I had no way of knowing this before I bought it and hope GM resolves this for me.

      Ughhh…..best of luck, it seems like GM is doing what they can to leave good customers holding the bag.

    What I gleaned from your presentation is that Arkansas screwed up and owes you an apology (not holding my breath for that), so while Chevrolet, in passing, could have offered an apology, I don't feel the onus was on them to give one. Still glad that your situation was rectified.

    Thanks for the update. I think it is interesting that the GM rep didn’t apologize. You would think that someone who was tagged to make the phone call to you would apologize (if for nothing else but goodwill). However, I was an airline employee for many years before I retired, and we were often told not to apologize for anything that wasn’t our fault (I.e. weather delays) because, whether you intend to or not, you are accepting blame for something that isn’t your fault or that of the airline’s. So, perhaps it was more that they (without saying so) are placing the blame on you or the DMV for not catching the mistake. Just another way of looking at it from the perspective of the GM lawyers. 🤔🤷‍♂️

      That makes sense, I had that feeling as well we’re talking on the phone. He was well trained/coached. Thanks for watching!

    I’m glad you got that taken care of, but it’s so weird that the dealers can do anything they want with these car. But a guy that buy the car can’t I order two Corvette from GM a 2013 GS and 2017 Zo6 and glad I did but I’m sorry I love my cars and will never buy another one because the way they handle C8 walk in two dealers and they start to tell me they wanted over 100 thousand over sticker for C8 Stingray I was done then. I look at this way you got the first mid engine and I got 2 of last front engine I can live with that…

      You have a couple of great Corvettes. I have a 2018 GS and a 2003 manual. Love the Z, but I love the others because we’ll never have those again. Thanks for watching!

      I just clear it and keep on driving ✌🏼

      @@2020matrix8 The Eventuri intakes run a little lean due to MAF calibration. The closed loop wideband O2 system will handle it, but it does tend to run more timing than stock and can results in some knock retard. Throw in a can of octane boost with each tank of fuel (or pump 100 unleaded) and you'll gain an extra 20-30 hp cause the ECM can go all in on ignition advance. Was amazed when we tried this on the dyno (similar mods - Eventuri, test pipes, exhaust).

    • @2020matrix8
      @2020matrix8 3 месяца назад

      @@ChurchAutoTest An extra 20 to 30 hp would be cool but not necessary. Do you think I should be putting in 100 octane to avoid any damage to my engine?
      I haven’t heard any knock yet.

    • @ChurchAutoTest
      @ChurchAutoTest 3 месяца назад

      @@2020matrix8 You won't hear the knock. The ECM will detect and pull timing. We've been logging the Z06 we've been working on since it was new (since we can't tune them yet) and we noticed after the Eventuri intake we were seeing fuel trims of +12 to +18% bank to bank. That's quite a bit and probably means the MAF cal is a little low with the new intake. This results in the car adding a couple degrees of timing and not enough fuel (the widebands correct for that). That helps power, until you get knock and then the ECM pulls out timing. With octane boost timing jumped 4-5 deg and made a lot more power so I'd run it just to be safe.

    So the State you live in, or even a franchise dealer screws up the paperwork and GM is supposed to accept the blame?
    I am a bit confused…

    WHY are you expecting GM to apologize for a dmv error? 🤦🏽‍♂️ every car manufacturer is ALWAYS trying to find an excuse to void your warranty anyways

  • @kosma30

    I feel a lot better now after hearing the whole story. It makes perfect sense when the title was done originally incorrectly with your name. Then there was a correction made, which looks like it was a different person. Now it totally makes sense. I made sure that the people doing my paperwork spelled my name correctly for fear of something exactly like this. Not sure that GM would owe you an apology for something that somebody else made a mistake on. But I see your point.

      Makes sense in a 1980's sort of bumfucked BFE area. In all actuality it makes NO SENSE what so ever. Shady Slimey SHIESTY business practices. Lots of Manufacturers / Dealers are playing thee games lately. source - ASE certified mechanic for over 2 decades now, and been working in the industry. Subaru is a bad one lately too.. Not the actual company itself, but their American dealers.
