We got the magnetic ride, front lift, and performance exhaust on our 2023 3LT HTC. Things we wanted, could not easily add aftermarket and we also did cosmetic like a lot of carbon flash items inexpensively done at the factory. We love our vehicle, the best I have driven in my 61 years of driving experience.

Also, some people dream of owning a vette, and there are plenty base models sold for those that a few k is alot. Hes got no garage opener, that's his business!! Haters gonna hate. Thx for the vid and the tip. And his mic is fine.

I ordered my 2023 red engine cover from the factory, the red is a dealer installed option, so they install it at the dealership, and give you the black one that came on the car anyway.
The biggest "Option" for going to the 2LT is the Front Lift... ONLY available WITH 2LT or 3LT... Of course, If you live in a "Flat Area"... you can probably "Get By" without them... But in the North GA/NC/TN area...you WILL be facing a LOT of Z51 Splitter dragging over everything.
Although I appreciate your opinion about the 2LT and lift, that has nothing to do with the video. Btw, never had an issue without have the lift. My old corvette and other cars are lower and never truly needed it. Not saying it is not a good value, but I’m just saying I’ve never needed it
Interesting ideas. I went a different route on some things but I understand your reasoning. I did get my OEM wing afterward. Got it at a discount. Probably going to cost a couple hundred to get it installed but like you said, I can sell my spoiler to help pay down my expenses.
Yeah. I think it depends on how much you’d be willing to do after the fact. On my Z06 order, I decided to go against my own advice here and get the colored seat belts. Other people want everything to come from the factory and not touch it at all. To each their own.
Interesting video. Thanks. Personally, the only options I would have chosen would be the performance package. (Z71?) Possibly the black trident wheels and the battery tender.
*Z51. I would not recommend getting the black tridents with your order for the exact reason mentioned in the video. I’d recommend just getting some aftermarket wheels for that price. Look at a company called Aerolarri. That where I got mine. You could also get the grey or silver trident wheels and get them powdercoated black and it would be cheaper
The Big mistake you made was not getting the 2LT because of the best feature the real view mirror/camera and forget the Z51 package unless you plan to beat your car at the trac.
Don’t worry, I weighed that option very thoroughly. Wasn’t a mistake. Was a calculated decision. All that wasn’t worth $7500. Blind spot monitors are the biggest thing missing and yes would be nice to add those aftermarket .
I'm currently "building" one on the website. I'm definitely going 2LT, without the Z51. I'm not tracking it, so no use in paying for the brakes, summer tires, etc...I'm buying the high wing spoiler, HP exhaust and Magnaride a la cart. It just seems like a better use of funds to me, if it's not going to see one mile on a track. Plus, I can put summer only performance tires on it once the all seasons wear out. I'm told to put a deposit in now for a 2024. Not sure if that's true at this point or not.
Good video. Have a base coming. With high wing and seatbelts. Going to look into it. The high wing is a good deal. Installation would seem higher than a $150. Going to check it out. Picked up a set of grey tridents for $800. Got them powder coated for $450 so have a set of black shiny at $1250.
Good deal on the grey tridents. I actually just replied to another guy’s comment and told him to do exactly that 😁. For the high wing, it’s up to you. I’ve seen some people say that the dealer’s “book” charges the hours equivalent to $150 (1 hour?), but that some dealers charge much more.
@@SupercarRanch I am definitely going to delete the seatbelts and get them myself. I also buy dealer extended warranties for cash in tax free states. They are heavily discounted and no sales tax. Saves a ton. Offer a dealer $200 over cost, take a picture of the odometer and your set.
Good luck on the seat belts 👍 I’ve heard people have done it, but have not tried it myself. Yeah good tip on the warranty. I plan on trading mine in for a z06, otherwise I’d get one too
Be aware that in a lot of installations the paint will be damaged by peeling off when you take it off the car, the adhesive tape used is that strong. If it does you're going to be responsible for the repaint cost, and hope you get a perfect match. Repaint is much more than 100 dollars.
Thank you. And yes you are right. I know for right now, you can’t order the high wing from GM, whether it is with your order or after. Hopefully won’t last too long.
That is true. But I’d still recommend buying in the way I described in the video and not order it that way. You’ll get the same extra set of wheels for less. Or you can easily pickup a second hand set of base silver wheels with tires for less than $1500 all in.
I was carful when I speced my C7 Z06 I suggest anyone buying a new corvette to at least go with the 2lt trim I'm not sure about the C8s you get the heads up display I've seen a lot of used lt1s sitting on dealership lots nothing wrong with the car them but without the options they are a hard sale

You even have another 1.5k to go get some nice ppf or wrap over your car.
I can’t argue with you. You are right. Most people that get a z51 won’t put it to its fullest potential. I do plan on taking it to a track a from time to time. Who do you think chev markets too? Fans and every day consumer who wants something stronger than a grocery getter but also don’t see value in a 200k car that has less horsepower. In other words we are not cheap. We just don’t see value in wasting money on over priced items.
the wheels and wheel options have go be some of the most god awful things created by a car company. Its like they couldn't help themselves but fuck at least 1 thing up.
Haha yeah you are not wrong. Same with all the previous generations. At least the base models. I feel like they almost go out of their way to make ugly wheels just to keep the aftermarket buzzing
I assume you mean the body color accents option? If so, I didn’t get it cause I don’t like the way it looks. The boomerang looks ok in body color, but the front and rear vents look terrible.

The magnetic ride control is a must have and you’re a fool for passing on it, especially when it’s included with the Z51 package at a discount. 1LT also screams “I’m poor.” 2LT gets you a ton of bang for your buck. The blind spot detection and cross traffic monitoring is worth it alone. The C8 has awful blind spots. Given that you cheaped out, I’m inclined to believe you bought this car for clout with the intention to flip it.
I like how everyone has their opinion on what a “must have” is. It’s all about personal preference. Those things were not “must haves” to me. If they are to you, that is great. I won’t call you a fool for it. Not sure what you mean by buying the car for clout. That’s just funny. Anyway, have a nice day 👍
So true, definitely do not recommend 1LT if possible because the blind spots are absolutely horrific, 2LT is a must, 3LT is a rip off unless you really care about the fine details in the interior.

I thought it didn't have the carbon wheels but they were on another page. Disregard my previous comment. I tried to edit but RUclips wouldn't take the edit.
All good info but keep in mind your listening to someone who is too cheap to buy a garage door opener...
Haha good catch. I wouldn’t say too cheap, but rather too lazy. The original owners of the home were too cheap 🤣 I just haven’t gotten around to getting one put in 😁
You're trying to save a couple hundred dollars when your spending $60 to $70 K.
Yes. That’s how it works
@@SupercarRanch A dollar saved is a dollar earned.
Who the heck would want to buy a used black engine cover? Also sounds like you can’t really afford a corvette - quit being so damn cheap.
Well for one, hydro-dipping companies will buy them as cores for $100. Second, I have a Corvette so not sure why you would say I can’t afford one. Third, don’t worry about my finances, you’re welcome to watch my other videos 🤣
Who do you think chev markets too? Fans and every day consumer who wants something stronger than a grocery getter but also don’t see value in a 200k car that has less horsepower.
In other words we are not cheap. We just don’t see value in wasting money on over priced items.
@@msgsgt bingo. I could buy whatever car I want, let alone a Corvette. But it’s about what the car and options are worth to me.
the wheels and wheel options have go be some of the most god awful things created by a car company. Its like they couldn't help themselves but fuck at least 1 thing up.
Haha yeah you are not wrong. Same with all the previous generations. At least the base models. I feel like they almost go out of their way to make ugly wheels just to keep the aftermarket buzzing
Great video
Thank you
I have a Black Z51 Rear Spoiler for sale
Why didn't you get the color body parts?🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I assume you mean the body color accents option? If so, I didn’t get it cause I don’t like the way it looks. The boomerang looks ok in body color, but the front and rear vents look terrible.
If you have the money to buy a corvette why are going to be changing the motor cover to make 100. This guys are here just for the video but make no sense to me. .
My dealer asked if I want the black lug nuts for $250 to match the black wheels. No Thank you
Yeah I’m with ya. They look nice but that’s way too much for lug nuts.
I painted my own for $10.00 and you don't need high temp paint because it is plastic and doesn't get that hot.
Probably right. Even with high temp can do it for less. Just threw out a conservative number
These are the people than can’t afford a valley parking for $5.
I
First you got a coupe ,to me a convertible is a must .
Stop being cheap
Built mine added every option possible
Seems like a lot of work and hassle to save a couple of hundred bucks on a high priced car.
Thanks kid but the option that makes sense is 2 lt all that other stuff besides the z 51 is worthless good video though
Kid? 🤣
You can buy the blind spot mirrors for like 140 at paragon so 2lt definitely isn't a necessity
I can't agree, your 2lt and 3lt won't have any more performance than my 1lt optioned with z51 and magnetic ride control options 😉!
@@johnshuler1396 don’t worry man. He’s like a 15 year old kid that sells knock off sneakers 🤣
Added over $7K of carbon fiber after the fact. Compare that to a 2022 factory installed carbon fiber of the same items for $22K... LOL
Great job! Yeah the factory carbon fiber options are way overpriced
Get on with it……too many topics at once
You cant order anymore this car for 60k, the lowest you can find its 90k
Not true. I just took delivery for my 2022 for $64k. Ordering and waiting is different than buying off the lot.
Wanted to watch. He needs to mic up
So let me get this straight : you spend six figures to buy this car or close to it and you pinch pennies 😂 lol.
Ha no. 5 figures. Pennies become dollars and dollars become wealth. Keep pinching.
If to want to be a serious youtuber....buy a mike! Your audio is terrible.
🤣 yeah I know it sucks. Don’t worry, I don’t want to be a serious youtuber. I got more important things to do
@@SupercarRanch Ha…you can afford a C8 and invest your time in making videos, but don’t care about what you sound like!
Who is Mike and how much is he selling for?
Tell him to buy a mic not Mike.
@@Make-Asylums-Great-Again check your Dictionary before you post. The ‘mike’ is the correct word for microphone.
