- Today, we dive deep into a secret #Porsche collection in California. Wayne Dempsey co-founded Pelican Parts in 1997 as a result of his own passion for Porsche. His first exposure to a 914 came though the father of one of his close friends. After driving the 914 around the hills of upstate New York, he decided he wanted one for himself! So upon his arrival in California, Wayne picked up his black 1974 914 Roadster before he had even found an apartment!
In today's video Wayne shows us some of the rarest and most historic Porsche race cars including the Brumos 935 and numerous Porsche 962 Prototype racecars.

Video is great and it needs to be said Wayne isn't just a collector he's a mechanical genius. Many years ago (2004) I was reassembling a 914 and had a question about where a wire in the middle of the engine went. I had the number for Pelican from a recent part purchase, so I called and told them I didn't know where this wire went. They said hold on let me get Wayne... it took less than a minute of explaining to him before he said, "I think that wire goes..." and Voila', it was back to running. Guys a genius, not just a collector. Has written a helpful book for my Boxsters as well. He deserves all of this and more, lives the dream.

The airport that American LaFrance was at is called Aeroflex in Andover, New Jersey. After seeing that it sold onlone, I'm glad to see it's got a safe home. Have fun with it and I suggest bringing it out to a few musters to try and win a few trophies.

Love that little fiat sounds great. My first car was a 1974 Fiat 128 crappy lite green. My father was a doctor he bought it new for a work car. Well the other doctors made fun of him. One of the doctors was Dr. Jack Frost car collector in Iowa. So he gave it to me and got a ford 69 Torino 428 cobra jet. That little fiat ran a long time great video.
