Thanks for the video; how did Mr. Moroi make his money? Btw: Would you ask Mr. Moroi if he'd be interested in buying my 2002 SUZUKI Swift GLX in (nearly) mint condition? 🤣
That 400R is just insane. This is the collection of someone who isn’t just rich, but knows the right people to be able to have the chance to buy these cars. That Mazda 787 too… I’m actually wondering if Polylphony used this guy’s cars when making GT.
At 03:22, I believe that was the 787. It’s covered up, so I’m not entirely sure, but I’m pretty sure that one was different from the 767 he covers in the video. Either way, it’s pretty badass.
@@downsouth420 Nope. Same car, same number (203), same decals and same parking position in the hall - just filmed from a different angle. Not two different cars.
I never thought that I would see a collection that actually makes Jay's Leno's collection look less than. What an incredible sight and ode to Japan's rich car culture and race history. Thank you for sharing this gem with us!
I'd take this over Jay's and that's not something anyone with any knowledge would say lightly. But then again the 2000gt is my all time favorite car period so maybe I'm biased
Best Japanese car collection for sure! Probably the other collection I can think of is Zak Brown’s race car collection, but this has some private road cars mixed in.
@@forbiddeneraAgree. Big 2000GT fan as well. This guy is like how the Sultan of Brunei is to his Mclaren F1s, or Manny Koshbin to his SLRs. Love’s the car so much gets 10 of them.
insane collection. Just one section or room in that collection is probably like 100 million easily. But the quality and attention to detail and how they're being taken care of, restored, and used? Incredible. Literally a gran turismo collection
I love the videography. Some of the shots definitely give that “model car” feel. Plus, that white board with the layout of where all the cars are is maybe the most Japanese thing ever.
This dude is doing it RIGHT. His hobby is set up like a business but its legit just for him. Im sure his other businesses feed this. They have to. I finally got my business to buy me my first trophy a 22 LC500 and i get to pay it off in full next month. Thats nothing compared to this but the concept is the same. Goals.
Great video. A minor correction: The Bond film Toyota 2000 GT was driven only by the character Aki, played by Japanese actress Akiko Wakabayashi. Connery was too tall to even fit behind the wheel, and the script called for Aki to rescue Bond and make the complete getaway - maybe the most active female character in any of the early Connery 007 films. She's retired, and still lives in Japan. Arguably if the 2000 GT is a first JDM car, Akiko is the original JDM driver.
Is this the same chassis as the one the irish group Juicebox found a year or so ago? It was also in Japan under private ownership but I believe it was a different person and collection.
This is the single greatest collection of historical cars I've ever seen, like everrrrrrr. Bravo to that man looking after them like he is. So much respect, and thanks, Hagarty and Larry, for this awesome upload.
That is just mind blowing, he is like the JDM Jay Leno!!! How would you even begin to try and get your head around looking after so many cars, finding parts (Very rare parts at that), my head would explode just at the thought of it all. Fair play to the owner for letting the lads in and filming it, was a true privilege to see and I'm sure it left a pretty huge impression on them as well.
Thanks so much for making and sharing this video with us, your face at 2:07 just about says it all! What an incredibly tasteful collection. The in house restoration is something else too!
Mr Moroi is a certified madlad. I love that he actually drives the schuppan 962. Plus because of his business he can make all the metal parts he needs to keep it going, which is doubly amazing.
Seeing the 240R at Daikoku in the wild, then catching up with it at its resting place. Honored would be an understatement. So dope. This one makes me emotional.
What was not mentioned vastly outnumbers what was mentioned. A shame really... is the Ferrari 330 P3/P4 sitting next to the DTM Merc, real? replica? Would have loved to know.
That Ford GT is absolutely unbelieveable. Stunning. Jaw Dropping. Awe inspiring. An incredible collection, and great to see the care that is ongoing for everything here. A great care taker of history, and amazing that they still get out and get to stretch their legs every now and then.
WOW JUST CRAZY!!! CAUSE THIS GUY HAS SOOOO MUCH GOING ON WITH ALL THAT!!! LIKE I EVEN GOT A HEADACHE!!! This is amazing- every time i see a video about a rare car rotting away in a barn someplace it breaks my heart. Nice to see these cars being REALLY well looked after- and DRIVEN!
This really is like a Gran-Turismo dream collection. Incredible collection, a part of history. I love the Penta wheels on the White 190E, I think I've seen that car on an online article.
Such a fantastic car collection and so refreshing to see these beautiful cars instead of muscle cars everyone has. These are ultra rare cars that you won't see in 90% of car collections in the US. Many of these cars are spread out in Europe and Asia. To have them all in one collection is incredible to see. Thanks to the owner for allowing cameras in to show off his awesome collection!
Amazing! Reminds of Gordon Murray's collection with it's rare street cars and race cars. But a different genre of focus. Again amazing! Thanks for sharing. Watching this video this morning made my day so much better.
That Toyota 2000GT convertible is something special because the director requested a convertible but all of the cars built were hardtops so that’s a one off.
Jay's collection is awesome but it lacks a few generations of actual drivers cars and sports cars. I think mine would look a lot more like this one than Jay's.
