Wow! Just checked their menu, it goes on and on, and looks... absolutely spot-on! Also, prices seem ludicrously low compared to Luxembourg (whatever the food)- A gastro tour of Barrow-in-Furness is now on the cards!
Hi Gareth, thanks for another brill review. That looked totally amazing. It's making me hungry as I haven't had dinner yet. Lol. You are a lucky man. Keep up the spot on work. Best wishes from Scotland.
Loved this one, your better half on camera, being so bold to eat vindaloo, when I do, has to be knowing the next day I have off, great video and once again that you interact when you can with your follewers, makes the difference, it's one reason that I watch your stuff you put out!
In India, we have roadside restaurants, which are primarily there for people traveling long distance, or for truckers/long distance bus drivers. Those restaurants are called Dhabe. Dhabe is plural for Dhaba (singular). Dhebe are known to make some of the absolute best food throughout the country, even moreso than restaurants, and for very affordable prices. This has lead to people specifically travelling to dhabe to have food, because it's so good and so cost affective. It's pronounced more like Ta-Bah (singular) / Ta-Beh (plural). I'm Indian so I'm a bit picky when it comes to Indian food. But the place where I get my curries from when I can't be bothered with cooking myself does a Bhut Jolakia curry. I only usually have that when I'm i'll as it genuinly seems to cure everything and anything. Bhut Jolakia is the world's hottest NATURAL chilli so not synthetically manufactured with chemicals like the reeper, scorpion, viper etc nonsense ones from usa or uk or trinidad. This bhut jolakia pepper means Ghost Pepper, and the curry won't smack you staright up, but it will linger and haunt you throughout the night. The endorpines it releases is unmatched compared to the manufactured peppers which don't do your body any good, only harm. It has a similar flavour profile to a Naga curry, if your local Indian takeaway can make that, it's well worth a try.
Thanks for sharing! Looks good. In the south of France and miss the curry takeaways. You can re-create them here, but not the same as the ones you get in Blighty.
Now THAT, I would eat, Gareth! 😋 It looked amazing and for 20 quid, that's good value. I did feel sorry for your Good Lady having to watch you tucking in while her stomach was rumbling! 🤗
What is this absolute bargain I see before me? Looks plentiful and delicious, and all for £21. I’ve just realised its been a while since I’ve had a takeaway, I might just treat myself to a Vindaloo at the weekend. Thank you for sharing with your family, great video Gareth . . . good to see you having a wee treat too pal.
Looks lovely. Having a home made chicken curry tonight. A mild one. Thank you for putting the song Vindaloo in my head! It will be there all night now! Carry on being spot on. xx
That looks delicious, it also looks exactly what my fave takeaway serves up. I tend to go for a King Prawn Ceylon or Vindaloo, pilau rice, garlic nan, chips and two chapatis, also they give me onion bhajis for free. It takes me two days to eat it. I have had other curries but I tend to go for the hottest ones, I have to sit there with a bog roll because it makes my eyes water and my nose run. I might have one tonight, I'll have a beer then decide!
A really nice thing to do if u get salt and chilli chips ever on the side with an Indian is to put the left over chillies in a huge box of plain rice and mix it, it makes a gorgeous balance of heat and crunch your truly amazing, your descriptive words of the meals are spot on keep up the amazing work I’m getting a Indian with my wife tomorrow for my birthday can’t wait lots of love mate
Why am I watching this when I'm starving 😂... Curry is my fave we had a smashing one at weekend.... Good lady has done well on camera duty! Fab video Gareth xx
great review. i used to love hot curry, then one day one of my daughters left her Korma and i stole some. now a convert to mild curry as you taste more flavours and spices rather than just a chilli blast! Still have to have a chilli naan though!
dhaba! been there a few times, food is fantastic, your food here looks lovely, i'm watching this at 9.30 pm and i'm now starving! only eaten light today trying to keep the weight down but my stomach is rumbling at the sight of this superb nosh! another great video
That looks a great meal, as a brummie I love my curries, I have been to India many times, in the past we have made our own, we have bought the base gravy in jars and done it that way I think we have tried everything, the farmfoods vindaloo was the best so far, but now we see your reviews and take it from there, if you buy from a takeaway we can't do that! but your reviews are very good thank you, oh we hope the Mrs enjoyed her meal too....
Ah!... The good old creaky dining chair... My sisters dining chairs used to creak like that mate... 😆 That Vindaloo looked very nice Gaz... You can't beat a good takeaway Curry can you pal?... I'm sat here drooling now... Thanks for making me really hungry mate!... 😂😋 All the best Gaz... Cheers mate. 🍺
Great one Gareth, we are slowly getting a tour of your house. When you get to 500k subscribers I bet the rest of the family will be wanting to get on your videos !!!
Hi Gareth. These dishes looked really good and it looked like a great meal. The creaking chair- I thought it was my dodgy hip at first! Great and different review, thanks man. 😋
Hi Gaz and Good Lady and Daughter. Thanks for the Review.Banging Indian Takeaway that for price.Looked Lush.Lots of Great Indian and Chinese Takeaway and Restaurants here in North Wales too but always nice to see what others do.
Wowsa! That all looked immense and what a competitive price too! Loads for your money and not loaded with greasy oil like you get around here either…spot-on mate!😋👍
Hello Gareth and the good lady. What a lovely meal you both had. It had all the trimmings for a great Indian curry 👍🤤 Vindaloo and Kathmandu. I wish I could still eat the really spicy stuff. Sadly I cannot. I have to settle with mild. Cheers Gareth and Good Lady. 😀👍
Salivating now Gaz....looks lovely that. I have the chicken naga from my local Indian, Spice Bazzar here in Leicester, bloody lovely !! Similar tastes me and you, a nice cold beer from the Philips Perfect Draft machine, ahhhh !! Just waiting for my Domino's festive pizza to arrive, nom nom !! Maybe you could review that if you have a Dominos nearby ...cheers, Daz.
Great video & your wife sounds lovely btw the vindaloo we get up here in Scotland is that hot 🥵 it’s impossible for me to eat it it actually burns the tongue that much u can’t taste anything apart from heat!
Cheers Gareth great review, I love Indian food have one at least once a week . Your food looked amazing. I think you will keep all the foodies hanging on to see your good lady . A bit like the Saturday afternoon wrestling, When we finally got to see Kendo Nagasaki, when he got unmasked. Anyway I hope you enjoyed your meal . See you on the next one.🥂❤️👍
Great video, I've never had Indian before. I'm asthmatic and I thought if it's all hot it could be bad for me. So I steer clear. I can tolerate a bit of heat like some sweet chilli sauces but that's it. Xx oh and great camera work to the good lady xx
Looks like a very nice Indian feed there mate, tasty, colourful, quality ingredients. all at a very reasonable price for UK. Spot on, But with the hot weather now, you need to be eating the cold pork pies and salad. All the best and keep up the good work. For the food 9 from me. Best wishes from a chilly day on east coast of Australia.
I have to say Indian food is not my number 1 go to but that looked amazing 🤤 I’m so hungry now and shopping not coming till 4 o’clock 🙄😅 Thanks for sharing ❤️
Nice video I might just swap my fish fingers for a nice curry it's look so good. Nice to hear the good lady she could get a job with the BBC with that speaking voice 👍
Looks nice. Had a phall once on the basis that the person who said I should have one paid for it if I finished it. I finished it but never again. I like the heat but tend to stick to a Chicken Madras these days. I do have the occasional round of Reaper chicken wings from iceland or food warehouse. You should try them, they are banging hot. I managed eight before I had to stop lol.
Great video 👍,, what always amazes me is how ridiculous mild the hot takeaway supermarket currys are , had a madras other day was like a bhuna ,, only the Carolina reaper one is actually hot 🔥..
I normally have the lamb Bhuna..Yours seems cheaper than here in Brid. Lamb bhuna pilau rice..nan bread, onion bhajis, chips...26 quid..Lovely to see u interact with your lovely family.
You can't beat a tandoori mixed grill, I love them. Usually get veg rice a couple of bhajis and a keema naan, wash it down with a 500ml ice cold Cobra lager 😋
That all looked very tasty Gareth! A vindaloo is too hot for me I'm afraid, but your wife's meal looked like just my kind of thing. I could almost taste it myself when you had a spoonful of her sauce! 😊😊 I completely understand your wife not wanting to be on camera, but it was so nice to hear her, she sounds lovely! 👍😊
Great value and lovely looking curry! X
