It’s looks simple enough and cheap enough to replace if need be 👍. I guess like many of us have found out with anything, you can get some great budget finds and some duds. For many that use these, I wouldn’t image many moving these arms around once you have them in your desired place 🥰🤩.
This is a rebranded arm. Its not built for longevity. When the silver aluminum hook in the middle breaks (and it will, RIP to my original and replacement) the springs or tension system inside the bars will no longer work.
If any of the bros are looking for a better recommendation. The Donner and other similar heavy duty mic arms for desks on Amazon are always on sale for $10 more (50) with a way better build.
Idk if it’s because of the camera angle or maybe you’re a giant, but is this boom arm small? I had the blue compass boom arm and as much as I loved the cable management, I hated how big and bulky it was. It would also interfere with my window as I had to always lower the arm just to open/close my windows just due to the nature of how I have to have my desk setup close to my window. This was annoying because I had to then readjust the position of the arm and it will take a while before I get it back in position because it wouldn’t hold its place, especially with the blue yeti. Plus, once I upgraded to the wave 3 mic, it just didn’t work with it since the wave 3 was super light and the boom arm would fling straight back up as if it woke up with morning wood lol. This looks like exactly what I’ve been looking for, especially since I was actually thinking of coping the elgato low profile boom arm but that’s $100 (just like the compass arm) and I really don’t want to spend another $100 on another boom arm that might disappoint me. Anyways, TLDR: is this boom arm somewhat small and compact and can it hold the weight of the wave 3 mic?
Hi HeyNavi, yes, it's smaller than the compass while stronger than the normal $16 boom arm, and it doesn't bounce back slightly when you put it in place. It's capable of holding the heaviest common microphone Rode Podmic, so there's no problem of using it with the Wave 3.
@@FIFINE what a coincidence timing lol, I actually already ordered this two days ago and it just came today. I already have it setup and I’m loving your guys’ product! I love how once the mic is set, you can still rotate the mic circle thing to get a proper position! So convenient. This boom arm is beyond amazing. Will definitely get another one if something ever happens to this one
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this boom arm. I really like the way you presented it😊
