I decided to buy them after I watched your video and I just got both of them a week ago, innogear mic arm and knoxgear. Used them a few days and I love them!
Very cool! I’m glad you’re happy with the products!
THNAK YOU for the review. I got the MU038 and its SOLD. It moves to its position and remains without drop or bounce. Just as good if not better than the $150 PS competitor. SOLID advice here.
No worries man! Glad to help!
Actually just received this arm today after the Compass arm for my Blue Yeti didn't work out (that high tension is awful). It's awesome! Really solid, looks clean, and doesn't budge once my mic is in place. The velcro cable ties are a little tacky, but overall very happy I found this video and made the purchase!
do you have the medium or largE
Aaahh this answers my question on another boom arm video of yours :) thanks for your energy man
the moment you used the clamp as a headphone older was the moment you earned my Like.. i am now purchasing
haha, cant believe so many other people didn't think of that!
Thanks for the review, exaclty what I was looking for
When mine arrived the pivot closest to the desk mount was so tight, the two first booms wouldn't separate. I was about to send it back because I wanted the configurations at 3:52. A metric allen wrench was all I needed to loosen up tension. I'll keep it. Thanks for the video.
I found that an overhead mic boom arm is good. In addition to supporting the basic riser, it also has a hight riser, which meets my requirements very well. Recommended! !!
it is actually really good, I still use it currently
this guy reviews everything im buying, absolutely love him
great minds think alike!
Digging the one for real! Price point and style
the colors of your channel are so beautiful
Helped me with my buying decision. Thanks!
That is indeed a solid mic arm. Hope things are going well!
Thanks man!
@@RAVisuals hi
I had just took mine back to ups to be returned back to Amazon because the desk clamp was to small for my desk (Sigh) which was slightly over 2.3 inches so now I have to find a good desk mount boom arm that will fit my Rode Pod Mic 🎙
I liked and subscribed just because o was literally looking at this same mic arm on Amazon and I remember your a
Awesome setup video 🔥🔥🤙
thanks a ton man!
I was setting it up and the base has a plastic insert that had come loose, making the arm a little unsteady. I'm going to use some super glue to see if it fixes it.
Most computer desks and gaming desks I have seen have some kind of metal frame underneath them that most mic arms are not large enough to get over. The Tonor boom arm is one of the only boom arms manufactured that can.
they must have thought of this when creating it!
@@RAVisuals Maybe. Mine arrived today and the fit was SO close to being perfect, maybe 1/8" off from actually going over. I took the foam pad off the bottom of it, and with a 2lb rubber mallet I was able to hammer it onto my desk against the metal frame. I believe I stripped out the threads to tighten down the clamp, but it's hammered on with enough force that it isn't even necessary. I guess on is on, and it's securely on my desk where no other mic arm would fit.
@@ulfrinn8783 very nice!!
@@RAVisuals yeah, it'll get the job done, but once the top of my desk becomes damaged from wear and tear, I'll just replace the top with some furniture grade plywood from the hardware store and cut it to have a couple more inches overhang on each end.. then any mic arm would clamp on it just fine.
I ordered it with your link! Hoping I love it
I think you will!
Yesterday I bought a InnoGear Microphone Arm Stand Large Size for $16.99 and it is awesome.
Awesome!
Thank you so much! That was just what I needed. I cancelled the one I had just ordered and order this in the large size (using your link, btw). I like the clean look-that's so important to me. Keep up the good work!
Great to hear! So stoked to help you 👏
Thank you for the review!
Just one question, is the hyperx quadcast s compatible wih this mic stand?
I legit bought the tonor boom arm yesterday on the basis of your review...
ayyeee! Lets go! Still an awesome arm as well!
@@RAVisuals can u link it I can’t fui de it
so i got this arm, but a really big problem i'm having is if try to rotate my mic to the lft it looses from the thread. The 5/8 thread turn infinitely right when tight, but stays in place and makes the mic come loose if you go left. Wondering how i can lock this so this can stop happening, anyone known of a male to female 5/8 locking adapter. It's rather unfortunate and a constant annoyance.
Hey thanks you just saved me about 60 dollars I’m going to buy this
Thanks for the video, what cord do you recommend. Mine isn’t long enough to make it to my pc under the desk
I have a support bar running along the bottom of my desk near the edge that's a little bit less than 1 inch wide, do you think a mic arm would stay secure on the support bar?
My desk has a draw so its about 6 inches think is there anywhere i can get a clamp big enough for that?
Loved the video helped me out a lot! One question what kind of PC case is that?
glad it helped you! The case is from Gamdias. I did a whole video on the upgrade if you wanna check it out
dude your pc is badass
Hi. Does anyone recommend a boom arm that might be able to hold a five below usb microphone?
is it true that some of the tonors dont fit the blue yeti, someone said that that in the reviews for it.
Thank you for the review man! You just saved me spending $200 on a mic stand.
Great to hear!
Who tf spends $200 on a mic stand??

Hey 👋 man thanks for the review and I got my boom arm today and it’s awesome so thanks. What is the name of the music btw when you where opening the boom arm ?
It’s a song from soundstripe haha. Can’t remember
Thanks for this
the 5/8 adapter built in has came off, does anyone know how to fix it back on..?
I think mine is defective. The thread is slightly bigger than my blue yeti one. It gets stuck on the rim of the blue yeti thread and won’t go further
I wonder if it will work with the shock mount that comes with the AKG C214
hey, thanks for the review; will these be compatible with an audio-technica atr2500x?
Can the HyperX quadcast s fit on this boomarm great vid btw ]
I see no need to get anything higher priced than this. Unless you're a professional musician or have some kind of niche use case. This thing looks to do everything you could ask for at a reasonable price. It looks pretty nice, looks well constructed and really there is nothing to complain about. Love products like this.
I also live products like this that are cheap and effective!
it is now $40
Hello i have genesis radium 600 microphone and looking for microphone arm but i cant find because imposibble to find correctly arm
Hi I got this mic arm for Christmas and have a razer siren mini and. I was looking in the Amazon Q&A and it said it fit the siren mini but it doesn’t appear do fit do I have to get an adapter or can I take the screw of so it can fit?
Does it work on hyper quad cast?
I need a longer clamp for the boom arm
Used your link for the arm and shock. Any recommendations on a longer usb wire for the blue yeti? The one that came with it will be too short to reach. Quality vid btw
I got same question here....
Doesn't the Blue Yeti just use a regular Mini-USB cable?
That’s smart free headphone stand
Does the Razer seiren mini fot, someboday know?
Would this arm support using the razer seiren mini
Will this boom arm work with the Rode Nt1 Signature Series?
I just got the elagto wave 3 mic and was looking to get this boom arm for it. Everyone said the psa 1 and elgato boom arm but its expensive.
this one will suit you just fine!
Would this work with the blue spark?
will the KnoxGear Shock Mount work for jlab mic? please anwer
Do you need the shock mount to use this arm? I'm planning to use this boom arm with a Audio Technica AT2020+ USB.
No you do not! It’s just an option!
is this also for the blue yeti x?
Can i plug my headset into the mic ?
Vibrations in desk movement don't travel as well with plastic, that's probably why they made a plastic base
If that's the reason, then It was actually an ingenious decision!
I might buy this but I want a nice boom arm recommend any?
I can't put my blue yeti on it ? DO you know why ?
Mine started developing vibrations/ringing that could be heard in the recordings after a few months.
Hmm. I've never had a problem with that. Could there be something on your desk causing these vibrations?
I would try and tighten the screws and bolts
Does the joint creak when you open/close the scissor arm? I have a budget one right now and it creaks when I re-adjust my mic when leaveing/coming back to my set up.
nope! mines smooth as butter!
im looking for reviews of the audio technica at8700 boom arm and i see this and they are the exact same. what is audio technica doing and are they getting copied like ???
is this good for overhead, i have a quadcast and wanted to put the mic set up behind my monitor
How do you put the wire in though?
What is that sick backround u have on ur monitors?
I got it from wallpaper engine on steam
seeing that you have the best budget arm for the yeti nano, what do you recommend for a best premium arm for yeti nano? and please dont say blue compass because i just destroyed a brand new one i just bought.
inno gear has a really good one but shure's is also very good
I have a silver Blue Yeti mic that came with a stand but how do I know if this is the "nano," "regular," or "big one"? (I don't have the box, of course). Thanks.
the Nano is much smaller of a mic. the regulars yeti looks like the one I use in this video
Does this arm work with the shure sm7b?
how did you get it to move forwards? the back arm is seems fixed in position for me
I believe there is a nut at the bottom that you have to loosen
I can't use anything that connected from the front of sides. I need something that connects to the back. I need it to go forward, then 90 degree turn to the right. So I need one with a rotating middle and base knuckle. Any ideas?
Well this arm wont do that for sure. Maybe try one of the more flexible arms? have you searched amazon for them?
Hi does this work for mics that you speak from the top?
Really annoying that they don't have the MU038 in the UK! I need an arm that is bigger than the rode PSA1 so it will go over my monitors.
dang man, sorry to hear that!
hi bro thanks for this precious informations, i have a question please !! what do you think about the "LogiLink AA0127 boom arm" if we compare it with the "InnoGear boom arm" ???
not sure, I've never tired that arm
@@RAVisuals Okey thx man.
Hello is this boom arm for hyperx solocast? Thank šlo replies
Tonor T20 or T30 for the regular "big" silver Blue Yeti? Thoughts? Thanks for sharing.
Both! either one works just fine!
Will this stand hold my hyperx mic 🎙️
Do you use the Medium or Large?
just making sure is the mic arm and shock mount still good for the blue yeti Nano?
Yes i believe it is! The shock mount is specific to the yeti though. You’ll need a different one for the nano
Where is the adapter?? I can’t find mine
Do you know the differences between putting the yeti upside down or facing up?
You can orient the mic however you want but over time its not good for the capsule
so i’m using this for my digital piano that’s right by a window which is the only surface close by, and i don’t think the clamp can go far enough for this so do you think i can have the clamp partially not on a surface? sorry if this is confusing lol
It could do that but IDK how strong it would be to hold your mic
bro you made the price go up by 5 bucks ig your famous
Which arm would you reccomend for the blue yeti with a small sized setup? Also does this one come with a pop filter like the other one?
This one does not come with a pop filter. They both are great choices for a smaller setup as they are compact but can reach pretty far.
@@RAVisuals ah ok, thank you for the help, I think I might go for the other one because it has a better clamp and a pop filter too. Do u think thats a good idea?
@@Turrical totally up to you man! It’s mainly based on what you’d use it for!
@@RAVisuals ok I'm gonna go for the first one because I'm gonna be recording and streaming a lot, thank you so much for the great videos and all the help :))
does this work with the blue yeti nano?
does it work with a razer seiren mini ?!
Will this work with the blue yeti x?
Will be good for akg p120
I tried this one but it is so incredibly stiff to the point of being unusable on the bottom joint. The larger one is the one I used, and it seems maybe the larger one suffers from these tension issues while the smaller one perhaps doesn't.
Hmm, yeah the one that I reviewed and am currently using is awesome and doesn’t have any issues like that
@@RAVisuals You're not the first I've heard say the 28" version is fine. Might have to try that one.
Had the same issue with the large one, the bottom one wouldn't budge at all. I saw some review saying they attached it to separate wood and added a little lube to move it around some to loosen it up, I did this (before reattaching it to my desk after it loosened up) and it's been working for me fine since.
@@Tesseus What lube did you use, and where exactly did you add it? Looking to do something similar with sewing machine oil at some point.
@@Tephnos I just used superlube since I had it laying around from previously using it on keyboard stabilizers. I didn't know exactly where to lube it so I lubed like 2-4 parts (I don't remember), the areas where the bottom arm connect to the circle black thing so that's like 2 parts. I also lubed the silver (?) bar at the bottom. As for the 4th spot, I don't remember if I lubed the area in the middle (black bar) or not. At those specific spots I just lubed in a circle the area in between the arm and the black circle thing that holds it together
what sucks about boom arms is some desks especial ones with a hutch are not suitable for boom arms due to no place to clamp it.
yeah, that can be a big downside to these!
Is this Boom arm better than RODE PSA-1 or the Samson MBA 38 ? ... Can the Mu28 work with an Aston Orign mic?
I wouldn't say its better, but it definitely competes with those arms. SO if they can hold that mic, this one can
does this work for the blue yeti X?
Any tips on growing a twitch stream?
Put your streams out there!
Would a Razer Series mini fit that if I got the boom arm right out the box? Also would the HyperX solocast fit it as well? Oh! One more thing! How would I use my headphones? Like where would I connect it to hear my sound on the pc? Any recommendations? TYSM!
i know the solocast will fit but im not sure about the razer. You can plug your headphones into your motherboard or a soundcard!
@@RAVisuals thank you so much man! Love ur video! :>
Is this supposed to be a cheap version of a rode psa1 clone?
Do we know if this will work witht he hyperx mic?
yes it will!
Does this work with the razer seiren mini?
Are you able to take off the adapter? I have a mic that uses the usual screw that fits any other scissor arm.
on this arm you cant take off the mounting point. You'll have to adapt your mic threads or your shock mount
@@RAVisuals Ah, ok. Thanks for the quick reply :)
Can you use the shure mv7 with this mic arm?
does this fit a razer sirien mini
Will it fit the Rode Pod Mic? & is the boom sturdy enough? I ask because I don’t want to spend $129 for the Rode PSA 1 plus
yes! This is what I currently use to hold my rode podmic! It hold it perfectly.
What if I don’t have a wire to connect it with?
