I see no need to get anything higher priced than this. Unless you're a professional musician or have some kind of niche use case. This thing looks to do everything you could ask for at a reasonable price. It looks pretty nice, looks well constructed and really there is nothing to complain about. Love products like this.

Actually just received this arm today after the Compass arm for my Blue Yeti didn't work out (that high tension is awful). It's awesome! Really solid, looks clean, and doesn't budge once my mic is in place. The velcro cable ties are a little tacky, but overall very happy I found this video and made the purchase!

When mine arrived the pivot closest to the desk mount was so tight, the two first booms wouldn't separate. I was about to send it back because I wanted the configurations at 3:52. A metric allen wrench was all I needed to loosen up tension. I'll keep it. Thanks for the video.

Most computer desks and gaming desks I have seen have some kind of metal frame underneath them that most mic arms are not large enough to get over. The Tonor boom arm is one of the only boom arms manufactured that can.

@@RAVisuals Maybe. Mine arrived today and the fit was SO close to being perfect, maybe 1/8" off from actually going over. I took the foam pad off the bottom of it, and with a 2lb rubber mallet I was able to hammer it onto my desk against the metal frame. I believe I stripped out the threads to tighten down the clamp, but it's hammered on with enough force that it isn't even necessary. I guess on is on, and it's securely on my desk where no other mic arm would fit.

@@RAVisuals yeah, it'll get the job done, but once the top of my desk becomes damaged from wear and tear, I'll just replace the top with some furniture grade plywood from the hardware store and cut it to have a couple more inches overhang on each end.. then any mic arm would clamp on it just fine.
