I ordered the quadcast too and I am going to mount it on a tonor boom arm. The thing I was thinking about all the time was how to get the mic faced correctly to my mouth when the arm is mounted to the side or front of my desk. You just showed me the solution by simply adjust the shock mount. Thx man great Video!

You can get it off the HYPERX website under replacement parts. Looks like it runs for $30 though. You maybe able to find a cheaper off brand one on Amazon.

I can’t find any listed online unless you buy another Quadcast. You could probably go to a local hardware store and match the head of screw and length with shock mount placing it’s inserted. Plus you would need the wing nut to match the treading. Then just paint it black. Just an idea.
Does it matter if the quadcast faces you? Will I have to turn mine around aswell. Someone told me it doesn't matter much as it can pickup audio from all sides

Yea I liked it, I used it a lot for my older videos. I just prefer a stand alone mic instead.

It’s just the standard HYPERX Quadcast. The other version is Quadcast S, and it has RBG light instead of just red.
Were you talking through the quadcast in this video?
Yes, I had to do some voice overs certain parts though.
Does this mic work with the shure sm7b?
The sm7b says it’s compatible with most boom arms. I would say as long as it has a 3/8 or 5/8 connection. It should be fine.

How did you run the cord through, it doesn’t fit for me
I used the usb plug end and started at the mic end. Only way I could figure for my cord to fit the tight areas.

Well, if you leave it on the stereo it should be fine. I use cardioid for myself, just to cut out background noises.
