Just unboxing and setting up this microphone boom arm from Innogear. It's a really good budget microphone stand just under 45 USD. (I got this stand cheaper though, but Amazon prices change a lot)

I found an adapter that could work with 3/8 and 1/4 connection rods on boom arms. Still can't find a replacement for 5/8 one though. amzn.to/3JDgH10

No problem, I am glad this was able to help!
I ordered the quadcast too and I am going to mount it on a tonor boom arm. The thing I was thinking about all the time was how to get the mic faced correctly to my mouth when the arm is mounted to the side or front of my desk. You just showed me the solution by simply adjust the shock mount. Thx man great Video!

Thanks for the video, it helped me with my mic boom arm setup!
No problem, glad it was able to help you.
I ordered a universal shock mount off Amazon which I think it has an adapter. Should have it tomorrow, so stay tuned!
Did it come with the adapter
@@MarcusMultisanti-oo4gv the shock mount comes with its own adapter, but if you just need a replacement for a Quadcast. I have linked somewhere. 😂
thanks for showing how far the arm extends - many dont bother with that
I tried to cover everything I felt that was important.
I needed this! Thank you very much!

hi i’m not sure if i know where my 5/8 adaptor is, is there anywhere i can buy it from?
@@sanju2916 I haven’t been able to find just the adapter for sale, yet. If you have a Quadcast though, you can contact HYPERX through the their support page and ask if they can sell a replacement or what not.
@@MrDarkcore Thank you for the tip for the shock-mount rotation. Even some proffesional tubers didn't mention this was possible.

ty, helped me alot
I am glad it helped, i was going to upload another video on this boom arm. Well the larger version of it.
i see you have the matching headset, i have the same problem and was wondering where you plugged it in or got it working? or just kept it still plugged into the mic?
I am a little lost on the question. 😂 Are you referring to voice monitoring?
@@MrDarkcore I’m sorry I worded it bad. Like is there any other place to plug in the headset other than the actual quad cast? I tried plugging into my pc with just the headset Jack and no good

Thank you for the short and simple tutorial not making a video like 20 minutes long
Your welcome! I don’t like talking to much so I try to get straight to the point. 😂
hey man dumb question. where do you plug in your hyper x headphones? also how do i change the volume and all that on the headset.
You can get it off the HYPERX website under replacement parts. Looks like it runs for $30 though. You maybe able to find a cheaper off brand one on Amazon.
About the 5/8 adapter what if you lost it is it possible to still connect the quad cast to the boom arm?? I really need help on this
No you can’t unless you buy another Quadcast or a universal shock mount that fits the mic.
tysm this helped a lot
No problem, glad to help!
Nice video bro. Keep it up
Thanks!
anyone got a link for the 5/8 mic adadpter? my mother threw away the box with the adapter inside and ive been tryna find one for months. Please reply to me, I've bought 3 boom arms tryna find one to work
Only thing i found was a universal shock mount. It has 5/8 adapter but it won’t work with the Quadcast shock mounts ring. I pinned it if you want to consider that.
Great video bro!
Thanks! I think of could of done better but that’s just me 😂
idk why but i love this guy
Idk either 😂
thank you for this I just bought a boom arm and it snapped 3hrs later I think Im going to get the innogear one.
What brand did you get? I want to stay away from those. 😂
@@MrDarkcore Youshares Lmao
Thank you sir!
No problem!
my desk has these metal supports under it and idk if my boom arm is going to fit what do you recommend?
Maybe something that had a grommet mount system.
I appreciate your video bro! . This of course is the same with Quadcast S right?
Yes, it would be the same.
Thank you so much for the answer.
No problem
I’ve been struggling with this for about 3 months now and I don’t have the turning key for the quad cast s what do I do
Are you referring to the wing-nut that connects to the adapter to the shock mount?
did you get the adapter in the box with the quadcast or did you get it with the boot arn
It came with the Quadcast.
do u need the adapter that comes with the hyperx box or can u use one that comes with the boom arm
No adapter comes with this boom arm. For the HYPERX it’s best to use the one it comes with.
great video and thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
awesome vid!
I see you everywhere
Nice video bro!
Thanks!
This may have been answered towards the end of the video but is the adapter included with the boom arm when purchased?
No, it comes with the microphone.
@@MrDarkcore I guess I got some searching to do. Thanks for answering.
so did the adapter come with the mic or the stand? kinda important information
It came with the Quadcast
Ty for the help :D
Glad to be able to help! :)
hi sir im just curious, don't you like the mic of your cloud alpha?
Yea I liked it, I used it a lot for my older videos. I just prefer a stand alone mic instead.
Bro I love this man he's so wholesome
That’s not what I hear from most people. It’s more that I am awkward or strange. Lol
@@MrDarkcore OMG u replied ☺
@@nymlxs4520 why wouldn’t I? 😂
Any suggestions my boom arm the clamp doesnt fit my desk because the lip of the desk doesnt hang enough and has a metal siding under the lip and it doesnt fit
Well you can look into a flush mount bracket, but this would be an permanent option.
does the 5/8 adapter that you used come with the hyperx qaudcast or do you have to buy it sepratly
It came with the Quadcast, but you could get one if you buy a universal shock mount. Only other way I could find how to get one.
Hey sorry a bit late where to you connect the mic to a usb cable in the back of my Xbox or monitor
From what I saw it doesn’t work through the Xbox. There are ways, but seem really complex.
What is that piece called for my mic to connect to the boom arm mine didn’t come with one
Which mic do you have? It’s a adapter so depends on the microphone you have.
At 4:35, I realized that I was missing the bolt. Do you by any chance know the name of this bolt so I can get a replacement one? Thanks 🙏
I can’t find any listed online unless you buy another Quadcast. You could probably go to a local hardware store and match the head of screw and length with shock mount placing it’s inserted. Plus you would need the wing nut to match the treading. Then just paint it black. Just an idea.
I understand, thanks for much for your help 👌
Hey man did the 5/8 adapter come in the box or on the mic
It came with the Quadcast.
Is it possible to make the mic horizontal when its setup on the stand?
Yes, but it always depends on you mic as well.
I got this but the holder was loose to my desk an d it will not get tight when I did that
You talking about the desk clamp? Or the part knob that tighten the arm to the desk mount?
I'm trying to find my adapter but I lost it where can I buy one preferably in store
I haven’t even been able to find one sold alone online unless you buy a universal shock mount. I will look Into some stores like Guitar Center to see if they have something that would work.
wait u were on the review videos for amazon
Nope wasn’t me
Do you have to buy the 5/8 adapter separately or does it come with the boom arm?
The adapter came with the Quadcast.
thank you.
Glad I was able to help!
What the link for the adapter pliz help 😃
Um what is the piece you plug the 5/8 adapter onto,I’m learning much from the video though thank you.
You referring to the the connection rod? On the boom arm?
@@MrDarkcore I believe the connection rod? But thank you for answering
Thank you
No problem!
does the part being installed at 3:05 come with the stand or is it supposed to come with the mic? i put everything that came with the mic somewhere and forgot where
That adapter comes with the Quadcast.
@@MrDarkcore oh ok. mustve lost it then
@@CoolD10 if you have receipt, you could try reaching out to HYPERX. They maybe able to help with that.
@@MrDarkcore its not that they didnt send it, its that i put it somewhere and cant find it. i just need to look better. lol
Thanks

Great video
Thank you, glad you enjoyed.
Could you please provide a link for the adapter thank you!
There is no link “that I know of” that adapter came with the Quadcast.
Thank God for this video lol idk what I would do if I didn’t watch this
Lol, it’s not that good
@@MrDarkcore it is, trust me haha
The boom arm shouldn’t cracked the desk right? I think I put mine too tight
It should be tight enough not to move, if you cracked the desk. I think you over did it.
Did you have to buy the adaptor separately, or did it come with the arm?
It came with the mic.
@@MrDarkcore Thank you.
Did the 5/8 adapter come with the hyper X quad cast or the stand?
It came with the Quadcast.
i have the boom arm i just dont have the adapter can u link where i can buy that
They don’t sell it only alone, mine came with the Quadcast. What mic are you using?
can someone please tell me how to buy the 5/8 adapter
I looked today can still couldn’t find anything. Sorry… If you come across anything let me know.
whats the name of the adapter please? i know its 5/8 but i cant find this Form
The adapter came with the microphone. They don’t sell it by it’s self.
What time of mic do you need/ what mic do you have
I have the HYPERX Quadcast
Hey, I bought a used quadcast and I bought the same mic stand. I don't have the adaptor. Can you send me a link to an adaptor that is compatible with the shock mount of the quadcast? Thanks
I will look into this, but will need some time.
@@MrDarkcore No problem, thanks!
@@user-yo1lf2yy3l maybe one like this. www.amazon.com/Gator-Frameworks-Shockmount-Microphones-GFW-MIC-SM5560/dp/B08J4JH32G/ref=sr_1_14?crid=1PY6S3OK2OFHO&keywords=universal%2Bshock%2Bmount&qid=1650823529&sprefix=universal%2Bshock%2Bmount%2Caps%2C58&sr=8-14&th=1 I did a review on the boseen ones and it could be barely fit in it.
Does the hyper x come with the boom arm adapter?
The adapter comes with the Quadcast.
Does this mic work with the shure sm7b?
The sm7b says it’s compatible with most boom arms. I would say as long as it has a 3/8 or 5/8 connection. It should be fine.
@@MrDarkcoreThanks so much! I believe the InnoGear boom arm has a 5/8 connection so it should be good for the sm7b.
If it doesn’t, you could always buy reducers to make to 3/8 if it’s that.
Did the arm come with the adapter for the HyperX?
Want to order one for mine
No, it came with the Quadcast.
Thank you but where can I get the adapter because I don’t have one
I still been looking on Amazon to find one sold alone but haven’t find one yet.
Will this boom arm be able to hold a shure sm7b?
From what I can find the sm7b weights 1.7 lbs, and this arm can hold up to 3.5 lbs. So I would think yes.
So I recently unscrewed the mic from the shock stand and I have the nut, and the screw, but I think I’ve lost the circle ring, is that important?
The circle thing is just a washer. I would think it’s fine without, but if you wanted could probably use a metal washer of that size.
@@MrDarkcore I seem to have found it again, and based on my (not professional) view, it seems as if it just tightens the mic from swinging a little bit more.
@@MrDarkcore also, what size boom arm did you get in this video?
@@goosyhq this video is just the medium one, I have another video with the large arm posted in the description.
