@DarkenedCyrus I liked it alot but then I upgraded it the RCP2 and then the Rodecaster Duo. My RCP2 has power button issues, so I have to send it back to Rode for replacement.
Thank you for doing a review on this mic. I've been having trouble finding a good mic for like the last 8 months and watching your video kinda gave me an idea on this mic and I bought it and it's the best and easiest mic to setup I've ever had. Very good sound. I probably wouldn't have been able to find this without you. Thank you very much again!
The first streaming mic I got was 2 years ago in 2022 when I was still 17 at the time and ofc it was the quadcast s, and I was new to pc streaming so ofc I had to get myself a mic and I saw it at my local target but I bought it on Best Buy online instead cuz I have a membership, and I did not know this mic was that popular back then, I feel cool that I got this mic, I still stream with it till this day and it works like a beauty
Buying non recyclable tech and complaining about the amount of plastic that houses it because it's not "eco friendly" then can't figure out how to open it. cmon man.
how do you do the mic monitoring thing you mentioned with headphones plugged in? what does that do? I just picked it up for 60 USD brand new from someone on fb haha
It’s so you can hear what the microphone is picking up in your headphones. Some people don’t like it, but it’s a must have feature for me, so I always mention it
it doesnt matter abt that just use a sound compresser aka noice cancelation app and dont think it will mess up your audio almost every streamer uses a noice compresser so yeah hope it helped.
@@chris935 It's been awhile since you asked but just in case you haven't found one, Nvidia Broadcast works pretty well and it's free. It can also be used to cancel out background noise from other people's mics if they're not using any noise cancellation on their end. I don't really use that feature since I usually only talk to people in Discord and they use the built in Krisp noise cancellation but it's nice to have if you ever run into someone with an excessively noisy mic.
Hello. I have a question if you or any of the viewers have encountered a problem. I have that microphone and sometimes when I talk or even when I don't talk, the mic volume goes down to 50% +- . Then when I call someone, they hardly hear me.
Hello, might be really stupid question for you, but I am still pretty new to this. I have bought this mic because I want to take creating content to next level, I am starting a podcast, but I wanted to solely use either my phone or camera. Does it mean now, that I cant really connect my phone or camera to the mic? Should I have bought something which has bluetooth or wireless connection? is there anything like that? How do you do it? Do you record sound on one gadget and video on the other one and then you just synchronize it? I really appreciate your time and I will be forever grateful for you (or anyones) answer as I feel little bit lost atm! :D Thanks so much and have a good day!
most people record audio with one device and record video with another and then sync it up post recording, an easy way to do this is to clap you hands 3 times infront of the camera and then sync the audio in a video editing program. good luck!
I have a dedicated sound card in my PC. It’s a Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus and the inputs are 3.5mm. Any good desk mic recommendations that aren’t USB?? I’m having a hard time finding one. Thanks!
What do you think about the HyperX Quadcast VS Rode PodMic? Considering the pricing is similar but USB vs XLR. I currently have a Wave:3 USB but I don't like it anymore and believe it has lost its' full function.
Rode PodMic all day, No way to compare these Mics. HyperX Quadcast is just gaming mic not for professionals, Rode is known well in audio headphones and microphones, HyperX is just gaming gears company. the difference is huge .
So I have a genuine question I have this microphone but it doesn’t pick up my voice if it’s not down my throat directly in my vocal chords how come his works form further away
I kept from doing a recommendation and leaving it open ended as it was more of a first impression. I need to do some more testing with it, but out of box, I like the way it sounds. I think the Wave 3 offers more options for the same price with their software, so I’d recommend that just from a software point of view
My friend I need help .. my original wire has been broke .. I try it with different wire but same type USB mini .. but it does not work.. what's the problem?? Does it only work with it main wire .. I mean does it need strong wire that take more electricity power?
The 3 mic texts, the elgato sounded like it captured the T's and D's of your words more, while the rode mic sounded like it took away more of the natural sound in your voice. Not to say hyperx didn't have its hit and misses, if you consider them that. It was a weird combination. In some of the settings like stereo, it sounded like it took away the natural sound away more, while when front faced it did capture your T's and D's more prominently than rode, it wasn't like the elgato. I use Nvidia broadcast with obs filters, to find a combination I like, and personally I find it better for me, since my voice can go low, and finding the right combination is hard when messing with suppression. I'm don't use noise gate ot suppression in obs when using Nvidia broadcast background noise removal and suppression with my quadcast s. But it works beautifully this way for me, even catching the lows 2 feet away. Just a tidbit if anyone wanted to try it.
@GregSaezer I use compressor, expander, 3-band equalizer, and the limiter filters. I had to play with thresholds and everything. By mixing up the gain on the hyperx and the output gain, I was able to get something that sounds crisp, and my lows with the equalizer sound really good, and don't chop off when I'm too low.
Id love to know your audio settings. Were you using OBS while reviewing your mic? You sound really good on the Hyper X mic. Id love to match your settings on mine.
Getting this microphone today, sounds crystal clear. Also nice burp bro
Thanks. Was refreshing lol
dont buy it. please dont buy it, get a wave mic, look at reviews from alpha gaming

Try obs. lots of tutorials on RUclips and they even show you how to monitor in a virtual mic so you can use it in discord, games, calls etc. :)

There are software where you can actually record with your phone camera and get sound from your mic. There are enough options if you look into it

HyperX is just a scam, i see these gaming companies as a big scam for money.
For XLR you need additional gear to connect it to your PC. The usb is plug and play.
is it the same as the black one just white? bc i have the black one but want to sell it and buy the white one.
Yep!
But if I choose specific settings for the mic with my pc, will it be saved if I plug it into my PS5 ?

I have the fifine rn. I’m very tempted to get this. Would you recommend me sticking with the fifine? I can’t decide 😩

It depends on which fifine mic you have. Some fifine mics are even better than hyperx.
