I’ve been vegan 36 years, no health problems at all, look ten years younger than most people my age. Go vegan already 💚
AWESOME
Anecdotal evidence doesn't count. There's also vegans that look like They're dead already lol
I bet you’ve aged your pairs with your vegan dribble for 36 years 😂
@@martynveele441 vegan dribble... now ive heard it all lol
HAPPY WORLD VEGAN DAY!!!!🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
I have been vegan for 40 years
😮😮😮 AWESOME!!!!!!! 👍👍
Amazing! 💚🌱
Me too ❤❤❤
❤
Dude, that's amazing
I've been vegan for 10 years now
Wish you well❤❤❤
Everyone "Love's" animals until they hear the word "Vegan" then they'll argue tooth and nail why it's acceptable to abuse them. 🙄😒🤨
Can you explain the abuse you speak of?
Can you tell me why vegans have weaker bones? Why they're more prone to fractures in the hip etc and maybe worse for women? Is it because there's no meat? 🥴🤣
We are omnivores, humans and children especially thrive off of a healthy diet with meat in it because the proteins are far better, zinc, iron, calcium etc is so much better in this diet.. Any vegan parent depriving their child of a healthy diet is a bad one, simple, and that goes for every vegan that chooses a lamb over their child🤦 meat in the diet is also super important for the elderly who have weak bones already made worse by veganism, if you're in the gym you're having sub oar proteins🤣 that goes for muscle recovery too.
@@michaelwalsh9145 this person is talking about the abuse in the meat and dairy industry where have you been?
@@benmrgamw681 wow you really did not do your research did you . I'll give you two examples number one I have not eating meat in over 30 years and I am healthier and stronger than most people my age and I also look 10 years younger per my doctor. The only way your theory would be possible is if people did not do it in a balanced way. And number two there are bodybuilders who are vegan and they are very strong and healthy.
@@benmrgamw681are you lost? Lmao
Careful that vegan brain fog.
Viewing animals as intrinsically valuable beings who deserve respect is the start of a slippery slope to a more compassionate world.
I’m into year 10 as well I’ve only died 3 times but grew back like Groot. Feel great and more so doing activism everyday I couldn’t be more trilled about a vegan future. Thanks Joey for all you do! 🌱
There is no vegan future.
Thank you 🙏 I was in need of a laugh after watching Earthling Ed's last video 💚
@@van281189 definitely a tough but realistic watch. I did a recent interview with Vegan Gaze and VeganFTA on the same topic. It’s a bit tough to watch but important for people to know I think at least anyway. Appreciate the comment and def happy to help getting a laugh in hehe
@veganforkindness 😹
That's gotta be expensive. Three funerals is expensive. I imagine you had to make three wills too.
Lets gooo man ❤ You are the goat Joey, Happy 10 years
Wonderful video! I 100 percent agree with you on all you said. I am a 71 year old male, went Vegan 12 years ago for the health and woke up to the Animals too. I permanently lost 120 pounds, so far, my Diabetes is gone, my high blood pressure and cholesterol are all very good. I hit the gym every single day and never felt better, Ever! OMG, all those crazy ex vegans! Drinking urine and Brain fog? What the hay? Cronometer was and remains a giant help in my weight loss journey. It is really good! Thanks Much!
More power! 4 years ethical vegan here!
Congratulations. This makes me so happy to hear. 💚
My story is the other way around - went vegan for the animals, but then got really invested in health and nutrition since.
I get so angry when I hear some other vegans say we should only advocate rights based, because people who went vegan for other reasons revert back to consuming animal products - you are a living testament that that isn't necessarily the case.
Imo they put would be vegans off that might have been thinking of going vegan for reasons other than rights, and animals subsequently suffer. My reasoning is that the most important thing is to stop people from consuming animal products however we can, keeping the person's point of view and motivations in mind, then build on that and helping them gain an understanding about the plight of animals.
Expecting everyone to make such a drastic shift in their worldview from the outset is not realistic and in the end it unnecessarily excludes people who has the potential to be voices for the animals.
Yup! Couldn't agree more. It feels good that no one has to die for my dinner plate. I can't help thinking that some of them acted the Vegan phase to build a following, and then when they realized how much wider an audience they can get by attacking the vegans and quintuple their followers. That applies to most of them. Worst case Miley on Joe Rogan with her BS Brain Fog! What a idiotic thing to say, and zero sense of morality.@@talitaza8862
😁🌱💜
@@talitaza8862You're absolutely right. Many people go vegan for health and then realize the aspect of not hurting animals. They don't start making up excuses for eating meat because at that point they're no longer invested in eating animals. So it's easier to open their eyes to the truth of the horror. Whatever gets someone to keep animals off their plate, I support.
Was 'proud' vegaterian for 50+ years.
Saw some Joey videos...Vegan now 4years.
Easy transition, as I dont crave food
I also got a vitamin d deficiency after 12 years of being vegan. The doctor said it’s very common where we live cause it’s not sunny here. I was just really tired and losing hair. Took a supplement for two weeks and that was it.
Ps. My mother who’s not vegan was also told she had low vitamin d recently. So it can happen to anyone.
Yes, we live in Canada and they no longer test for it here. They just assume we're all deficient and they recommend a vitamin D supplement for everyone.
Vit D, B12, iodine and calcium, population wide, are the most widespread deficiencies. Not a vegan thing, just a human thing.
I live in *Brazil* and I ate meat until not too long ago and got a blood test a year ago and my vitamin D was 10x lower than it should be 😃 I had iron deficiency as well 😃 All of that chugging down as much meat and dairy as I could because I was lured into that low carb high protein stupid trend... I ate an avarage of 4 eggs a day, a 1 cup of milk and I had salmon very often as well and my vitamin D were that low...
@@charcoal3855 That's unlucky. If you weren't aware dairy causes anemia because the high amounts of calcium it has inhibits iron absorption because both minerals compete for the same enzymes. It often occurs in children that are given dairy.
U don't need direct sunlight for vitamin d. Are you white? Because we evolved to absorb like more vitamin d in northern latitudes. Even if not you just need more skin exposed or to stay outside for longer
Congrats on your 10 year vegan anniversary Joey-great video
Thankyou Joey, isolated vegan here and needed to hear from someone like minded

Thank you for a no nonsense video. 20 years vegan here and a middle aged woman. I take the Vegan Society Veg 1 supplement. I eat soy every day, which I believe has helped with getting through the menopause without HRT or any major problems. I did get hot flushes, but not debilitating ones.
You sound exactly like me, lol. Except I'm over 60. Menopause easy.

Great video, thank you.
Congratulations on 10 years Vegan and sober, yours is an incredible and inspiring story.
13 years here. 2 pregnancies 💙🙏✌️
Thank you Joey. I wasn't supplementing B12 for 2 years after I went vegan and obviously I got so deficient that I had no serotonin at all, my body was becoming numb, getting tingles in my hands and feet, no energy for anything, I felt suicidal it was horrible but I never blamed it on veganism. It was completely my fault and I never even thought about even going near animal products for solution. I started supplementing B12 and I am perfect now. Never giving up on standing up for animals. If I don't succeed in my current chosen profession I will become a full time animal rights activist solo. Thank you again for everything you do for animals. 💚

You must be very unhealthy eating a vegan diet about time you had a nice juicey steak.
|Well done I'm 4 years vegan. The key is to have the animals in mind at all times. I was a big meat eater before I became Vegan, but It's not hard at all to stay Vegan once you have the animals in mind and heart, regardless of whether you miss eating Meat & Dairy. That is an irrelevance.
next year I will have been vegan for 24 years. I fell ill with substance abuse ten years ago and if I hadn't been vegan, I would certainly be doing much worse. at this moment I can say that I have never felt better
My 3rd veganniversary was in September. I had honestly wanted to go vegan long before I actually decided to, but with my living situation I couldn't see a way to. When I was in school and had more control over my food, I started eating mostly plant-based except for dinner. Dominion was my tipping point. I went completely vegan the next day, started cooking for myself, and I will never go back. I don't need to sustain myself on the deaths of others when there's plenty of good, healthy, delicious plant foods I can have instead.
That's great! I also went vegan in September three years ago. I also wanted to at least be vegetarian for a long time but life didn't allow it. I almost forgot about it when I for some reason was recommended a video made by a vegan. (Unnatural Vegan) I don't remember what the video was about, only that I suddenly was in a situation in life where I could be not only vegetarian, but actually vegan. Went vegan immediately. (I was vegetarian in the past and also have both education in nutrition and cooking so I was confident I could make the change, but I would recommend step by step change for most people).
Loving this style of content! I will be 2 years vegan on January 1st because of you
You look good for a nutrient deficient vegan zombie. Congratulations! Fourteen years for me and I'm not dead either. Amazing, huh? Good job brother! Thank you for everything you do!!

You are amazing. My husbands been vegan for 5 years, daughter about 5.5. I took the plunge on 10/10 because I had been eating so many vegan meals in the last few years (and love it). Im clean from alcohol going on 2 years and I have become way more compassionate, initially for my fellow addicts but more recently animals too (they can't speak and that is actually so heart breaking). The flip side I've become so sensitive. I feel things more than ever before. In fact I've been a hot mess today, jeesh Louise tears for days. I try not to dwell on the past, and remind myself I did not know better. Or I did but I' was aware, that I would be even MORE "different". I'm a healthy 55, hopefully life just gets better and better, in body, mind and soul. I love nature, hiking, etc so I have ways and means to enjoy life to the max. Thanks again Joey, you have a new grateful subscriber. Much love from Cape Town, South Africa - our national pastime is braai aka bbq...UGhhh...not easy but veganism is growing slowly albeit surely over here xxxx
Celeste, a Vit B supplement will help the emotional situation. I'm 57 & found it very helpful until I really up my game diet wise.

Hi Joey!
I am Vegan eight years and I feel fine!
To be Vegan is the best decision I made in my life.
I will be Vegan forever.
When I made the decision to turn to plant base food was my love for nature and all the living being that living on this planet with us.
Talking with a friend he told me that the way I was living is called "Veganism"!
I didn't knew the term Vegan by the time I started. Hello Vegan friends 💚thank you too!
Joey, I wish you as I wish for me and all friends here to be Vegan forever.

happy 10 years and world vegan day,
Congratulations on 10 years. 5 years for me and perfectly healthy and will always be vegan.
I have been vegan 9 years now and it was the best decision I had made, my only regret is I wish I have been vegan for all my life ( was long term vegeterian ). I changed because I realized the deep spectrum of hell of animal kingdom has been going through because of fallen humanity on this planet. People like you Joey, Gary Yourofski and other real animal liberation activists are such a mile stones in recent human history. God bless you for your big heart and the gentle soul. My respect🙏❤️☀️
Yes, couldn't agree more. I went vegan 9 years ago after seeing that Gary Yourofsky video. What a rude awakening to the reality of the horror we inflict on animals!
Amazing well thought video.
I guess 10+ years ago we all were having some weird eating patterns when first going vegan before getting access to some quality information.
My 1st advice (after B12) would be - eat beans (which include all soy products and derivatives, and also peanuts) and healthy fats.
I’m low in iron and it’s so annoying when anybody finds out and they blame it on my diet. I’ve been vegan for 7 years and I’ve been iron deficient for twice as long. I have also recently been diagnosed with PCOS with one of my symptoms being 3 periods per month. It’s not my diet, I’m just a woman with a common women’s health issue. It’s actually offensive when people think it’s my diet and I honestly wish it was bc it’d come without all the shit people with PCOS have to go through 🙃
Don't let them intimidate you! I am 71, 12 years Vegan and lost more than 100 pounds permanently, and the few friends who are still around are mostly obese, using canes or walkers, and taking multiples of prescription pills every day. Me? None of those, and the best part of my day is hitting the treadmill. Ignore them!
great stuff Joey, vegan for 5 years myself without doubt one of the best decisions I've ever made, onward and upwards
Great journey and sum up of 10 years Joey. I know I'm nearly at 10 years too! 😊 as got on the bandwagon a few months after yourself. Vegan rocks!

Happy 10 year Veganniversary Joey, nice video.🌱💪🌅🍀
Congrats on the milestone! Your knowledge and encouragement is very much appreciated! I have just passed my 8th veganniversary in September, though it has been 13 1/2 years since I ate meat. It was a slow process for me and still learning and making improvements. Not until this year did I really put much thought into what I ate as long as there was no victim in it. I put on some post-menopausal weight that was causing a lot of joint pain and that woke me up. I knew I really needed to make a change to feel better physically and mentally. Cronometer has really helped me to track my nutrition and develop good habits such as being able to judge proper portions and construct balanced meals- but also simultaneously work in the dietary restrictions required to manage a chronic illness. I've lost 65lbs so far and I feel so great about my ability to learn and adjust. Also... I really can't say enough about soy and menopause. I see family and friends around me suffering from so many symptoms that I don't have and I feel strongly that my food choices are a big reason why. But mostly I am vegan because I feel like I am paying back in some way for the life I still have after serious health scares. I owe the universe for sparing me, showing me how to continue... and in turn I need to do as little harm as possible while setting a good example that hopefully leads to fewer animals being sacrificed for pleasure.
Congratulations Joey!
I am 11 years vegan and never felt so good with myself. It’s a noble life change for those who recognize all the animal suffering in this planet.
Cheers!
Congratulations Joey!! I will be hitting my ten year anniversary on March 2024. I also made many mistakes and learned so much during this time. I am so happy I never gave up and came to this place of peace with body and soul. When you get to a certain point which usually takes some time it all of sudden becomes unthinkable to go back to the old bad ways.
I'm 9 years vegan! I remember hearing Dr. T. Colin Campbell speak about the Weston Price foundation starting to demonize soy in the 70s because it was such a great replacement for dairy and also very versatile. Soy is amazing!

Thank you for sharing your life experience and lessons learned to help others. Truly “paying it forward”. Your style is so straightforward and you earned so much more respect by pointing out the mistakes you made along the way & how you’re not perfect. The difference is that you decided it was time to take action and no longer be part of the problem but instead be part of the solution.
Looking forward to more of your videos. Now you have another subscriber.
Keep fighting the good fight. These animals need it & deserve it. Compassion is contagious and the world definitely needs more of that for every being…human or animal.
Cheers!
This is super helpful, congratulations on 10 years you legend. Can you possibly do a video about staying warm as a vegan? I.e. proper materials for replacing wool and feathers in our clothes and blankets!
I am not an expert in materials, but I have found that wearing multiple layers of non animal origin works very well for me. Hope that helps!
Thank you for sharing your experience. 👍 Realizing I have a massive D3 deficiency was a big wake up for me too. I live in Switzerland people here don't go outsidea lot either.
I eat 1 or 2 huge meals per day. I cram as many veggies, beans, and fruits as my stomach can hold so I can GET OUT of the house and be outside as much as possible. It's not ideal, but I don't have easy access to the kitchen. I can't go back to do 3 meals per day in a group home. I can't eat in the common areas with carnist housemates. So I carry massive bowls of food to my bedroom and eat there.
Happy 10th bro from Aus and great video Joey well done!

Congratulations Joey! Thank you for your activism. 🌱
Joey, please hear this: I got sober and Vegan too, via macrobiotic, yin/yang training. Michio Kushi said meat is too Yang and alcohol is too Yin, so when folks are drinking and on heavy psychotropic meds, their craving for meat (which Umami throws out a "high") is really strong. One woman, a sponsee in our recovery program, wanted my clean and sober vegan type life, so I worked with her psychiatrist slowly and it took a year, but she lost 90 pounds and became a happy vegan! I'm 85 now and she's a bit younger. Love you.
