Everything Wrong With John Wick 3: Parabellum

- Опубликовано: 13 ноя 2019
- John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum was one of our favorite movies this year. It rules. But like all movies, it has sins, so we counted them.
Next week: sins for two 2019 movies we strongly disliked.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

"We are less than even."
"That's odd."
Top tier pun.
Oh I get it now
I had to pause the video on that one and process what had just happened. That was too perfect and too smoothly delivered.
Marcos Game Dev Puns can be difficult if it’s not your first language so here’s an explanation: The original context is being even, like neither person having any sort of debt anymore. But the joke is treating it like they meant “even” as in an even number, so he said “that’s odd”, as in “to be strange”, but as a pun response to the original statement with the idea of even and odd numbers in there. Hope that helped fren

Also, not to be a nerd about it, but Ian McShane's pronunciation of the Latin was not even a little bit close. I cringed hard when he said that line.
Magnetpunch well technically no one knows what good latin sounds like it’s a dead language that hasn’t been properly heard in a long time so technically he could be pronouncing it right and what you think how it’s pronounced could be wrong
@@deathking1019 that depends. Mostly because of the roman catholic church, there is some modern Latin in use, it's studied and spoken. But even if what you want is proper ancient roman Latin, we do have a pretty good idea of how it sounded from things like the evolution of the Latim script alphabet, comparison with modern romance languages and loan words in others, and most of all, ancient texts about exactly that: proper grammar and pronunciation, both by Romans themselves and peoples who interacted with them. The roman empire was way too influente and widespread for it to be lost for good.

I still find it hilarious that so many assassins have so much respect for John Wick that they're willing to not shoot him and simply challenge him in a melee fight...even though they might die...and most of them did.
I think it's more of a win win for them. They get to die by their idol's hands and not some random dude that got lucky, or if they get lucky, they get to show they out bested the biggest assassin in the black market.
Its only a movie, and most of this type will take liberties from common sense and reality. Look @ Kill Bill Vol 1 with all that swordplay and no firearms? @@diegosanchez894 Yea shotguns would be one of the last choices for piercing armor. Also, I thought an obvious sin was that the High Table guys weren't getting jerked around by getting shot at. Their armor can stop bullets sure, but that doesn't mean it stops the force (except if it's John who shot them).
I can look past the shotgun armor piercing because it's a small detail that no one really cares about and the scene looked cool, but the force stopping armor just looked goofy.

If I can say one thing about this movie. I love that this trilogy doesn’t over complicate things, unlike the matrix. It’s just a fun solidly crafted movie, there’s enough necessary plot, in a fun and interesting world. But the real draw is that the fight scenes are brutal ,thrilling and incredibly well shot and beautifully lit. It’s so refreshing to have an action movie, just be an action movie, it’s beautiful in its simplicity.
I want to watch these movies, but can't get over the fact that Ted from bill and ted's excellent adventure is supposed to be a tough guy. I can suspend disbelief for a lot of movies, but that's asking too much of the viewer. Should have picked a good actor for these movies. There's only one less convincing tough guy in movies. I can't think of his name but he played Poe in Con Air. This guy and that guy should only be cast as the homosexuals that they are
@@carcar5984 Keanu has been doing action movies for quite a while. Most overshadowed his portrayal as an idiot from bill and Ted movies.
Not complicated? Since 1 they added an entire "High Table", a "High Lord", a system of Judges and sin, apparently John Wick has several markers around which bind people to him, but only according to the rules of the system he's been kicked out from but also they still work (???) there's tiers of assassins, entire clans that rule their own parts of town, regional "managers", lots of the assassins know each other personally...

He's having trouble giving this sins you can tell by how many sins he's taking off.
About the ending thing where Winston "kills" John Wick, the fall actually quite survivable. Lets just remove the bullets that "hit" John, because as he says it's either blanks or a vest. He starts falling, hits something, which arrests his falling, hits something else, hits a THIRD thing, and hits the ground. Now, when you fall, the reason you die is because of the sudden loss of velocity from your fall to the ground. If you make that velocity *less* (By making him hit other things first), you give him a chance.
John Wick should have been thrown from his horse as soon as the gun fire and loud a** motorcycles started to to race beside him. That much noise and chaos a horse would be terrified. No matter how well trained it is.

“Well sometimes you got to cut a motherf*cker” is my submission for best line of 2019
😂ICONIC😂
Signs a movie is good: they remove sins multiple times
Multiple sins removed at once even.
Yeah
another sign: when they address it
4:37
Definetly
The one biggest sin that always applies to movies like this is how the enemies being normal humans totally instantly die to simple gunshots, stabs, etc. but do the same to the protagonist and it’s always, oh it missed vital organs, we did a candid fix up bc we acted fast, yada yada etc. just come up with different outcomes so the viewers don’t have to question if the human protagonist is immoral
I’m surprised there wasn’t a sin for the fact that Zero is also the overseer from Iron Chef America.
I almost teared up in joy when I saw the scene where the bullets just impotently traveled about 3 feet underwater. Glad to see other people got it as well lol.
Can u explain 😂
@@reyruiz2455 Bullets can't kill people underwater like war movies make it seem. They either slow to non lethal speeds within a foot or so or disintegrate on impact with the water in the case of super high energy bullets.
@@AlibifortheAfterlife Thanks G, i feel dumb 😂
@@reyruiz2455 You shouldn't, considering how often hollywood gets it wrong lol.
@@reyruiz2455 really cool Myth busters on it you should check out. Basically proved everything the other guy said. Point blank you would most likely get a mortal wound. But all those scene of people standing on a bridge or dock shooting in to water 15ft away and the person they are shooting is like 3-5ft underwater.... Yeah that person is living. At a certain point it would like me tossing a BB at you at less than medium strength.
7:08 After this joke, I am going to be genuinely disappointed if Josh Brolin isn't in John Wick Chapter 4.
what really really want agent smith to be in the next movie who’s named anderson that would be hilarious
@@deathking1019 John: "You Anderson?"
Anderson: "Yes, Mr.Wick."
John: "It feels weird."
Awesome comment 🤣
Another thing to note: how does putting his hand on the steps to the Continental save him? He's excommunicated. The Continental isn't a safe spot for him anymore.
The rule about the Continental is that no "business" can be conducted on it's grounds. John was excommunicated and had an active contract out on him to boot, so he definitely was not an assassin with the Table and had no access to the Continental's services and wasn't bound by it's rules, but the guy trying to kill him was. John's assassin couldn't conduct any business there either. And yes, John broke that rule, and payed a heavy price for that, and he was hoping that his assassin wouldn't want to go through that.
John: *Violently throwing knives into a person
Jeremy: "HAHAHHAHAHAAHGAGAGHA"
I was going to sin CinemaSins if not a single sin was removed for the absolutely and incredible batshit insane knife throwing scene. This scene was one of the best scenes of the year.
“BUT, the movie still gets a sin for making ME want a spin-off”. so petty🤣🤣
John got a suit in the second movie where bullets can't penetrate through it. He still feels the force of the bullet but no actual bullets pierce him.
The scariest conversation in movie history "Are you pissed john"? "Yeah!"
Sin: Getting smashed into 8 display cases and not getting a cut on him.
Well, he has a kevlar suit...
@@Psycorde He meant the face. Shards of glass will easily cut your face, especially after getting thrown 8 times.
Horsegirl saftey glass, just because they’re assassins doesn’t mean they don’t follow standard health and saftey regulations with their glass casings
Only a knife held in John’s hands can cut John.
I smashed my hand through a clock and needed 12 stitches.
John Wick 87: We find out that John Wick is actually an immortal warrior from the future, who used the time machine from Terminator to go back in time and stop William Wallace from unleashing a plague on Earth. Of course, you need to watch John Wick 86 to know that William was revived and empowered by Baron Mordo, who is eventually revealed to be a pawn of Kronk after he was exposed to the Allspark.
*Sarcastic slow clap cliche plays*
You should spoiler tag that shit, wtf
HEY, NO SPOILERS!!!! Don't you dare ruin the sequels. Everyone knows they were saving the Baron Mordo reveal for John Wick chapter 92.
I read this in Jeremy’s voice for some reason
Sorry but no. We find out JW is Neo with his memory erased back in the matrix
4:58 u missed where the stitches disappeared 🤣🤣
I love all three movies and have watched them 12+ times each. That said, there are copious issues in all and for number three you have some worthy notices, but not nearly all of them. Time and space considerations won't allow a full listing.
To the humor part, I laughed myself silly when John throws that axe into the dude's head. There is something almost Loony Tunes about it.
Keep up the great work!
