    I use a rotary head shaver by Remington. Works great on mine really blends it into the SMP. Looks natural fade look

    Panny Arc5 is easily the best wet/dry on the market, but if you're gonna dry shave, I highly recommend using a good shave oil first. I use Zirh Prepare, but am in the process of trying to concoct my own since Zirh is so pricey. For a wet shave, I thoroughly dampen my head first, apply a quarter size dollop of oil next, then use ALOE GEL instead of shave cream. A good shave cream like Zirh works well, but I've discovered that ALOE GEL works just as well if not better and it's a lot cheaper. It also lets you see where you've missed a spot. I also switch back and forth between head shaving with a blade and with an electric. If you're gonna shave every day, I'd do electric with shave oil. If I let my stubble grow out a few days, I need to use a blade. And btw, they've done all kinds of studies and concluded that when it comes to blades, all disposables are pretty much the same as long as they're clean.

      Head shaving = Master Level! Thank you for the knowledge.

      @@scalp_logic Argghh!....I forgot that I switched from the Arc5 to the Braun Series 7. Definitely an upgrade...except for the sideburn trimmer. I use it for both wet and dry shaves and face and scalp. Btw, if you shave the scalp dry, you'll find that all electrics heat up rather quickly, thus necessitating a shaver-cooling spray. Shaver Saver or BaByliss Pro both work great. I mostly shave with a blade now and touch up with an electric.

      @@ayokay123 Braun Series 7, I may have to try it. 🙂
      Just about two weeks into using Arc5 everyday and I’m still unsure about it. I do enjoy it, but is it my favorite play? I may be too comfortable with the Wahl fivestar, so I’ll give it some more time to see.
      I see your point about electrics heating up, but Wahl fivestar foil doesn’t seem to ever get hot on me. It is not waterproof however, which is a major diff compared to Arc5 and other comparable devices.

      @@scalp_logic These scalp-specific shavers have also increased in popularity the last few years because they're shaped for the scalp. I'm curious to try one.

    • @scalp_logic
      @scalp_logic  2 года назад +1

      No, razor shaving will not damage smp in any way directly. Severe dry skin or other skin issues caused by shaving could definitely damage the smp treatment however.

    Hands down the Panasonic es lv6q is the best in its category better than the braun series 9! a closer shave; ✌
    The best foil shaver is the babilis pro fx02 more powerful and last longer 👍

    I use the trimmer on mine now,I started using the skull shaver from the get go but noticed after my second session of smp,even shaved down to the skin my existing hair was still darker in shade and contrast to my smp,I figured the 3rd session will add more density and abit more darkness and should all even out in the process once healed,but that wasn’t the case,my existing was still just a little bit more dark but the 3rd session nearly evened it all out so it wasn’t to bad but the problem I had going all the way to the skin was really smooth and my hair follicles were much smaller and less visual then the smp follicles so I had to spend some money and experiment with shavers before I bothered my artist but thankfully using the trimmer every 2 days was made my smp and natural hair left look more seamless and natural

    • @scalp_logic
      @scalp_logic  7 месяцев назад

      Wow, very informative! Thank you for sharing. Who did your treatment?
      That all sounds normal until the 3rd session and now your “hair native follicles are much smaller and lighter than the smp”…
      What you found took artistry! I always tell my clients to “find your sweet spot” meaning every case is custom. Each individual will have to experiment a bit to find the best hair length to match their native hair optimally with the smp treatment.
