- Join me this week where my good friend and President of the UK Tesla Owners Group, Will Fealey, pops around to show me one of the very first right hand drive facelift Model 3's in the country.
We have a look around it to checkout some of the differences, take it for a spin to see what they've changed inside the car, and pick George up from school in it to see what he thinks of it.
It's a great car with some fantastic upgrades making it much safer in a side impact crash, and I love the changes like the lighting and trim, but the stalkless indicators will probably take some getting used to.

"lovely car" I'll second that Steve, it looks stunning.
Keeping wash / wipers optimised for UK roads will be a challenge with no stalks
As someone once said Wowzers! That’s a nice scoop Steve.👍
Ultra red is so much better than the old red. Nice
Totally agree 👍
Wow 🤩 so beautiful I love the color, I can’t wait here in USA 🇺🇸 how much the new Tesla 🇺🇸😻❤️❤️❤️
I’ve just ordered one (long range) as my company car. Can’t wait to get it.
As soon as Highland performance comes out in United States I'm buying it. Stealth Grey dark interior. This will be my first Tesla let alone EV. Super excited
Thats going to be the one, although I’m holding out for the Juniper Model Y
So after long consideration I placed my order for the M3 LR I went for a test drive today and the car was quiet, comfortable. It is very fast. I don't need a performance, I never go to the track, l don't drive more than 75 on Freeway, 50 on city streets and I don't want to worry about driving over potholes and ruining my rims and LR has better range. Glad I'm officially part of Tesla family. First EV
@@cellman1829 congratulations, it’s a fantastic car, you’ll be happy with that
Great video Steve well done.
Thanks 👍
Great video Steve 👍
Thanks 👍
2:17 Great T shirt !!
Hi. Steve. Always watch all your family video, fantastic. We just bought an ex sainsbury home delivery van to convert to camper. Same at tubers true blue travellers. Just had it 3 weeks. Started laying new floor. Hope u all well. Good luck with new Tesla. I'm a vw man. Had them for 35 yrs. Best wishes to u all. David and Beverley Norfolk
We watched them converting the Sainsbury’s van and the phenomenal growth they had on RUclips with that series, it’s fantastic and they are very good. Best of luck with your conversion David
@@SteveRadford thank u. Best wishes to and your family. Have a good Xmas. Are u going away like last year. Best wishes David and Beverley Norfolk
We’re not sure right now, but we are hoping to get away shortly after Christmas
@@RoamingRadfords safe journey. Keep the videos coming, always exciting..
Nice one, love that colour but I ordered the LR & just couldn’t go that bit extra. If they drop the price on my Y again I will change order to SR & go with that red I think. I’m not far from you actually 👍
Hi Steve
We’re regular viewers of your motorhome videos and really enjoyed them. I’m reaching out to you to ask if you could recommend anyone to cut and polish our motorhome as most of the paintwork has oxidized probably due to its age !!!! Hope you can help
Many thanks Ian
Hey Ian, there’s only one person we use for this kind of thing and that’s Richard at PP Protect. Give him a call on 07413 907937
That is the spec I just ordered as my company car! (Cancelled i4 order for it)
Great choice 👍
Says he's got used to the indicators and then constantly looks down to see where the button is....
Sounded pretty loud in the car at 4:11 onwards when getting up to speed? Loud enough that it was crowding the audio a bit. Was that just a bad mic?
We wasn’t using lav mics, just a shotgun mic in the camera, so it’s going to pickup the road noise like that I’m afraid
WOW! How did you manage the order this car and hit the road in UK already? Tesla UK is not even scheduling test drive until early 2024!!
It’s one of their press cars, apparently they have 3 of them in the UK now, and it helps to be mates with Will, who is the president of the Tesla Owners Group 😉
Would have liked to see the rear indicators, always found them to dim and small. Having said that the indicator buttons are an absolute no from me.
No bed, no fridge, no beers, no good 😂😂😂😂
Nor has confirmation bias (apparently)
I must be the only one who really dislikes the lettering on the back... everyone already done it (Volvo, Skoda etc).. i will defo be deleting mine when my model 3 arrives and replacing with an OG T logo :)
Cybertruck never coming over to UK or EU or most other countries as the sharp edges especially at the front are not pedestrian safe on impact. There’s many other items that don’t meet UK laws.
They added it to websites in EU after it never being there before. Unlike in the US where it's been on the website for years. This potentially means they've found a way to make it EU compatible.
Not bad if I could afford one.😊
With no radar, no ultra sonic sensors, no indicator stalks, no rear wiper, no instrument panel, no gear selector stalk and a parking system (Tesla Vision) that simply doesn’t work properly its still a no for me. Shame as the car looks good especially in that red paint😍, is much quieter now and SR RWD price is very competitive.
You've mentioned all the things I love about this car.
@@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298 then I think this is the car for you. Enjoy!
Looks identical from the side
7:45 not true, I have already taken delivery of the RHD facelift M3 Long Range
Congratulations, you must be the first one
Where is the speedometer??
On the top right of the main screen
@@SteveRadford Thank you Steve.
Bring back buttons and a pop up screen in front of the driver.
It's about 5° to the left of your sightline instead of 5° below your sightline.
@@Smiler7Gimmicks like changing the colour on interior strip lighting is far more important than having driver information that you don’t have to take your eyes off the road, then when it comes to the indicator arm that has been perfect in it’s design and placement for decades they change it just for the sake of it.
@@stephenbroadhurst7653 Ah yes!
I had one of the first mobile phones.
We called in the brick.
It was large and heavy.
Then the target for the manufacturer’s was SMALL & Neat.
Then one day someone said “these phones are too small and difficult to use!”
So they started making them bigger again!😹😹😹
Nice motor, virtue signaling has never been more stylish
Nice car but still I don't live EV's.
That’s fine, but it’s nice that you can still appreciate them.
*This is what pisses me off about the Tesla haters*
If had stood on my driveway, with my friends, and said; My new car has 500HP, O-60 in 3.6s but does 110mpg and is silent. It doesn’t need services and has more interior space than the X5 it replaced …. They would all be agast. Impressed beyond belief… But when I say it’s a Tesla, they all sneer and get very grumpy! Petulant child-like. “Elon should shut his bloody mouth” “That thing will catch fire” “Doesn’t he support Trump?” “Car parks can’t stand the weight” “It depreciates fast” “Takes hours to charge” “You’ll need new batteries in two years and they cost £30K” “You can’t cross Europe in it” Utter imbeciles…
I found the stupid touchscreen distracting and annoying, but that's not a Tesla thing I guess, just crap modern cars. I know they are capable of accelerating faster than a speeding bullet, but I prefer the act of driving over being a passive user of something with all the character of a Moulinex.
Mmmm! Quite a bland looking car with no user friendly controls. Not for me.
I'm sure they will be heartbroken
This car is gorgeous. The tech is amazing and futuristic. When Highland performance comes to United States I'm buying it. Stealth Grey dark interior. Can't wait !!! 😎
@@cellman1829shhhh Tesla haters help with inventory. We need to keep talking shit
It looks beautiful. I like the minimalist design, it ages really well.
its still a tesla it will cach fire
On that subject...
Search UK Police BMW fires.....
.
Love to hear your perspective.
Maybe do some research on that?
Learn to spell.
Around 10x less likely to catch fire than gas cars. In fact battery tech keeps improving it's probably even less than 10x nowadays.
No indicator stalks is a no go. I can put up with it but wifey definitely won't.
