Came across your video by accident only to find you had captured myself & my new model 3 (check 9.36). My third Tesla & second model 3. Got so used to the indicators now I’m loving them. Love the automatic drive direction feature & the silence & comfort of this model. The Y was hugely more practical but the drive of the three is superb. So nice collecting the car from the SC as opposed to the NEC & picked up some nice gifts from them too which made the day very special.
Thanks for the review. Interesting your comment on the floor in the back. I bought a 2019 RWD Standard Plus off-lease from Tesla April 2023. I complained about the old drum noise of the rear footwell. Tesla fitted a noise-dampening kit as it is a known issue. it took them a while in the workshop because all the seats and carpets had to be removed to fit the kit under warranty but it did the job. The only downside was the loaner was a 2020 Performance Model 3 in red. It was hard to give it back
From experience with the new indicator system, two hands are needed and the placement of the hands should now follow the indicator region. Just from your quick test drive you saw you were getting used to it. So I think all the worries should go with a bit of driving
Funnily enough I am going to test drive one in Northampton next Saturday. Hoping to order the long range in ultra red 🙌 Frustratingly they mentioned the only have RWD to test drive which is a shame.
Nice, i would love to try the long range for a couple of hours, put a second camera in and do a proper test. Looks like the appetite is there so will grab one when theyre available. Thanks for your comment 👍
Great review! You mention the last Saab - do you mean the 9-5 NG? I had one for a year; the 2.8V6 XWD. Cracking car. I hope the new Model 3 Performance turns up soon!!
An easy answer, the Tesla if you have a drive way. Factor in a home charger fitting and get yourself a cheap night time rate and get 250 to 300 miles for £7
@@chargeheadsuk Ok, thought I heard you say Wellingborough. I live in Northampton now but never knew that Tesla dealership was there until I watched your vid.
You might have been looking at the pyro plungers that Jack the bonnet up in a collision to help with pedestrian impact. Difficult to see on the video I assume they have them
@@chargeheadsuk I won’t lie, Wedge-e is my second favorite car project on you tube right now. Second only to Tavarish’s P1. You are doing a great job with it.
@@JamesBrown-wz2zd wow that means alot thanks. To give you an update, funds are tight as you can imagine, once its road legal i reckon March / April the plan is to start restoring it myself with some assistance. Still planning to use it as my daily where possible

I agree, also im sure there will be accessories you can add like SEXY buttons if that helps you

I prefer having stalks
Easy when you know how.
Ventilated seats are a big upgrade and uncommon at this price point. 👊
As you could see it was the heated seats that did it for me. When i got into mine the steering wheel felt very old 🙈
Strange she told you that you couldnt put it into drive using the buttons on the roof, can certainly be done
Thats what i thought 🤷♂️
i think the little red light is when something is detected in the cars blindspot - also, does heated steering wheel come as standard?
Yes it will do as that was the standard model (RWD) they come with bundles standard

I havent seen one since they first came out, been a while. The M3P will be super sick!!!
Nice one Tim.
tesla model 3 highland SR (standart range) or BMW 1.18i M sport ? which one I should choose ?

Cracking review Tim 👍 Very interested in what the new performance M3 will be like
I need to work on my reviewing skills, get more b roll and have a second camera TBH. Lessons learned
I don’t understand your issue with indicating left? If you’ve already turned the steering wheel 90 degrees it’s too late to start indicating.
In highsight I agree, I was in autopilot mysepf so i guess i just went for thd indicator too late
I'm from Wellingborough, how long have you lived there Tim?
Im in Higham mate, moved from Bedford been here since 2013
