why didn't you clean off the old cpu thermal paste and apply the new one before you mounted the cooler? the old paste will result in lower temps....WHAT WERE THE TEMPS ??

those chinese brands like Great walml or Antec seem very tempting, i know, but speaking of experience, you won't get a performance improvement, only looks unfortunately.
If you want only performance, for that kind of price you could get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition, and, while it doesn't have rgb is a properly engineered CPU cooler.
or for a tad moire you could go with a Be Quiet! Shadow Rock LP or a Be Quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black.
What yopu don't get in rgb you get in low noise, good manufacturing, good cooling, good airflow etc.
