    remember that the front (aka the face/the nice looking part) of the fan sucks air in, the back blows air like a normal fan. the exhaust fan should have the front facing the right side of the case, and the intake fan should have the BACK of the fan facing the LEFT side of the case

    I had 3 prong off my 4 case fans which came as stock and didn’t realise you could plug them into the 4 prongs! Legend, I almost had to take it down to a shop to find this issue lol you saved the day for me (first pc build so I’m a noob)

      @@lukethedoge4842yes just plug into 3 of them, the same as he does in the video bro. The 2 plastic grooves slot in at the bottom of the 4 prongs

      well if you have a 3 pin on the motherboard u can still connect the 4 pin but its impossible to do any pwm controls

    Put the screw into the fan outside of the case first, so you can make the threads for the screws, because the plastic fan housing is not threaded.
    Trust me it will be much easier to screw them into the case after this way

    Are you supposed to just force the screw into the fan holes? I noticed that my case fan's corner holes don't have any threads in them...

      You can connect your fans to SYS_FAN, SYS_FAN1, SYS FAN2 etc on your motherboard, normally its 4-pin connector, but if the fans have 3-pin cable you can still plug them in just leave the fourth pin blank.

    I just love the part where you mentioned which socket you plug into the fucking motherboard. There’s literally 100 sockets. WHY DOES EVERYONE JUST SAY “JuSt PlUg iT InTO TTne MOThErBoaRD”

      Dont use ARGB or DRGB(meant only for 3 pins)- it is 5v
      Use traditional RGB which has 4 pins on your MB RGB port which reads 12v(Reads as GRB or something like that).
      Note: If the cable length is smaller you may need to buy extension cable which costs more for a single fan.

      dude i built my first pc on my own to help or instructions it took me 2 hours to figure out everything now i can build for in 30 minutes but installing the fan and plugging it in was the easiest and quickest thing to its so obviously theirs only one connector it goes into unless you running some shit from 2012

      these tutorials should specify that you should plug the case fan into the SYS_FAN header. people could confuse it with the CPU_FAN header but only if they are stupid enough to not know what a cpu is and they just call it a processor/microprocessor

      If you have for example a 4 pin connector, there should just be a slot for it on the motherboard and you shouldn’t have to worry about

      you can try looking on the side of the fan maybe there will be an air indicator indicating where the direction of the airflow is

      @@skitzers or u can just blindly look at the fan and determine the direction of the airflow. "faces suck" the face/front of the fan will always suck in the air.

      @@taylorebenguard6998 why are you here? hes talking about the arrows which are on the side of the fan which indicate which direction the air will get sucked in. you can also use the arrows to figure out the exhaust. or an easier way to determine it is that the front of the fan will always suck the air in and the back will blow the air out. the front is the nice looking side and the back side is the ugly looking side.

      not all, some fans have different measurements like 40, 60, 120, 140mm but your case might not support them. check the size of the fan and make sure your pc case fits the size.

      ​@@dreamsofthefuture2890You've likely figured this out by now, but here's a tip for those searching: Look in the manual for motherboard layout and a diagram of the 4 pin headers. The PWN pin is on the end opposite of the ground pin. Plug in the 3 pin leaving the PWM pin exposed.
