Hello my good sir. I was just wanting to let ya know that you have several repeating sections of the story, they are towards the end of the video. Im not sure if this was done on purpose to see how attentive your viewers are to catch it or if this was accidental, but regardless either way it makes it difficult to follow the story at points because of the repeating sentences making it confusing to follow. If you know what I mean, mister OP sir. ;)

i related to the story because of 7th grade aka my sexual harassment year. my best friend josh had an ex friend named ty who seemed nice when we first met but i got bad vibes from him because why would an ex friend want to meet that person’s best friend? he wanted me to “date” him when we were alone so i went along with it to see where he was going with it but ended up wanting to put makeup on my neck to make it look like a hickey(don’t know how to spell it) as prank on josh for revenge to hurt him and ty gave me the 24 hours threat on making the decision but here’s the thing: i hate makeup and don’t want to hurt my friends so the next day, i straight up told him i’m not doing the “prank” and that i never want to see or talk to him ever again and he said “fine. i never loved you in the first place” and walked away while i just smiled and thought “now i see why ty and josh aren’t friends anymore”

As a diagnosed person with ASPD, this therapist is a pseud. Psychopaths and sociopaths have no consistent diagnostic difference between them according to scientific consensus and both are simply classified as ASPD. Neither are they magic manipulators even if they are charming. That wife needs to accept her own failings here- plenty of people are approached by psychopaths who intend to manipulate them but successfully resist. He may be the aggressor but she bears fault in large enough part that she can and should be held for the blame.
And can we stop overly fearmongering about ASPD in unscientific romanticized ways? It’s pretty biased the way the therapist basically excused the wife and pushed the guy to reconcile- qualified therapists are not supposed to do something like that.
40% of people with ASPD adjust into upstanding citizens who commit no crimes and don’t exhibit symptoms. This story is either completely fake or worse, has a bad therapist spreading harmful discrimination.

@DragonZhan I completely agree about the fearmongering regarding ASD. Personality disorder often stem from genetics and childhood experiences so developing PDs is not in a person’s control. It can be difficult for the person to even realize that what they’re feeling or doing is wrong or not normal. It takes a lot of courage to face that and work on changing aspects of your personality so the disorder itself shouldn’t be demonized. 2 Thoughts:
    1. This story is fake and was probably made by someone who has cheated and is trying to justify it in their own wierd way
    2. Being abused is no excuse to abuse. Anyone who has been in an abusive situation knows it can affect how you treat others (especially in this case) but the idea that the husband ever had to or should forgive his wife is demented. Yes she was manipulated, but she still abused him for an extended period of time. That kinda shit isn’t a “oopsie” that can be tossed aside like that.
    3. Damn guess I got a third one. The idea that him leaving his wife is Marcus “winning” is bs. In retrospect, the decision shouldn’t involve him at all. It’s about him and his wife, and the treatment between the two. Jesus if someone had told me, especially a therapist that me leaving would be me losing, putting me in this impossible situation, they’d be catching these hands.

There is an unfortunate trend of female councilors empathising with the women and becoming biased towards a good outcome for the other woman in the room, as obsessed to the best outcome for BOTH, as shown in this story. Best advice is to get the coucilor to be the same gender as the WRONGED party.

This is not a medical professional.
There is no clinical difference between psychopathy or sociopathy. These are archaic terms in psychology, and no one is diagnosed a sociopath or psychopath at this point. When the term is used, it is always used colloquially.
Prior to the recategorization as antisocial personality disorder (APD), some schools of thought suggested that the distinction between psychopaths and sociopaths was the development of the pathology. One was inherited, a genetic mutation; the other was socialized, the product of trauma. There was also a notion that one or the other might be more violent, but which one "was" changed repeatedly over time, such as to be a meaningless diagnostic criterion.
APD today makes no distinction between hereditary or socialized pathology, as the traits that develop are the same and the distinction is diagnostically worthless.
This counselor is most likely a licensed talk therapist, but has not attended medical school - they are almost certainly not capable of diagnosing anything, only providing standardized treatments. At least, I'd hope that Sweden isn't teaching people about this antiquated perception. There's no real data to support it, for one, and for two the DSM releases as it does because of international research. It's not just some goofy American book, but a global guide to mental health diagnosis.

    • @Maninawig
      @Maninawig 6 месяцев назад +7

You're right to say that nobody is diagnosed with either pathies, but having been professionally accused of having one, I can safely say that the terms are still being used.
The difference is in the doctor's wording and intent. Due to laws preventing doctors from diagnosing absent people, professionals often turn to broader terms in order to avoid the -lawsuit- confusion.
Taking this case in point, the therapist uses the term "sociopath" to give a general gist of the problematic behavior while not allowing OP's thread to claim they diagnosed a person they never met.

You seek proper solutions for problems in your life, such as discussing stuff with your spouse, canselling and so on. Not cheating!!
Also: if someone talked badly about my husband in front of me, I would have teared them to shreds! Because my marriage is my own business, and no one has the right to intervene in it with their sticky disgusting comments!
Overall I feel like his therapist pushed her own view of what happened with his wife on him. Also, her comments about "you are running from your problems" e.t.c. are weirdly victim blaming? The first time he went through her phone, he took photos of their sexting but had no concrete evidence and needed more... after getting more...
When she was engaging in, umm... group activities, instead of displaying anger, he displays jealousy about being denied such activities and takes the moral stand that racism is bad...
Then justifies taking her back because the therapist told him not to let him win and that the poor thing was groomed. Either this is totally fabricated, or this is some doormat with no backbone. Either or, they only ruined one house.

Im sorry i feel like the being “helpless to grooming” part is fucked. Like if you’re a susceptible kid I get it, but if you’re so easily manipulated as an adult, how can you be trusted again to not be manipulated? “I couldn’t resist his perfection and that he chose me and all the other girls were jealous” so if Julio comes from outta town, we gotta go through this again? What I’ve heard in the story so far and what I’ve seen in the comments even though she’s blaming it on herself she’s not really blaming herself like every time she kept saying he kept making me feel like a queen, so did your husband, and not only did he not respect her, but she still kept going back I hope this is a fake story because every time she kept explaining her reasoning, she never said that her husband didn’t make her feel like that. In fact, she said her husband treated her amazingly so even though she’s blaming herself, she’s not actually blaming herself, inadvertently she’s blaming her husband for not treating her as well as marjus and frankly It’s clear that she was kind of groomed, but she allowed herself to be groomed by a dude named marjus, anybody who let themselves be groomed and throws away the best thing that ever happened to them for someone who sounds like they’ll be selling legal substances on a street corner kind of deserves what they get

She cheated within 1 week. You dont get groom in 1 week. She cheated and then got groomed into hating her husband over the 11 months.
He's a sucker for taking her back.

I was manipulated. She was a perfect woman and just knew how to get me to do what she wanted. I didn't want to fuck, but there I was with my pants down pile driving her. I couldn't control it. It was like she was using the force to direct me. She was definitely a sith.

I'm glad OP and wife think they have won against Marjus by staying together, though we all know people like Marjus won't be crying for long. They'll be out for a new victim shortly. I also hate that the therapist and family members made OP see the wife as the victim. She basically lost all the blame after they called him a sociopath, making OP's feelings come second to hers.

The level of emasculation this man felt ia beyond any reconcilation. He will never be same no matter how much his wife regrets her deeds. His wife might have saved the relationship but she killed him in every possible way and her relatives were part of it. This guy has lost everything, he is the sole loser here. I feel bad for this man.

Congrats You managed to let a psychologist manipulate you into taking back a cheater who will probably do it again. She had every opportunity not to engage in it she chose to be groomed. If if the psychologist really said all that, then she should lose her job because that's some Olympic level apologist behavior she, the wife that is, is just as much the perpetrator as a victim.
Edit: wow, that last bit that confrontation.. is a whole bunch of crap. He never made her do anything, he may have pressured her but she made the choice to surrender to that pressure. I'm glad if they work things out I really am, but this whole I was being manipulated so it's not my fault crap it's just utter b*******.
We all make choices in life, and she said yes when she should have said no. It really is that simple. She chose to cheat.

    OP : m not a doormat
But don't even hav enough courage, to question his wife, even whn she started skipping on their date and plans..
Even when the doormat found her sëxting chatting, instead of question his wife, he did nothing.
Even whn his wife mentally abüsingg the doormat, he let it carried this for 1 year.
No standup man who let his wife disrespect their marriage without even some confrontation..
And that groom and socīopath thing is totally bûllshît, just to safe his face.
His wife will do this again after coming out of this.. coz doormat cant standup for themselves.

I find it funny how the consultant and therapists spun around how abusive the person was just to create an objective thought process into his mind that "are you going to let him win or are you going to take back your wife scenario"... This might just be me or me being hateful but you really can't not see it. He wanted to leave her so much so that he wasn't even bothering to talk to her but everyone kept nagging him to talk to her and she wouldn't sign anything until he talked to her and then when he does talk to her consultants and or therapists spawn the narrative around to a thought process of how narcissist this guy was and constructed a thought for him to think so that he could change his decision in wear him down to take back his wife which is honestly hilarious to me. It's probably not a bad thing but it's also a hilarious thing. Eventually he's going to have the same thought again and whether she'll cheat again just because she wants to feel the same way that guy treated her. In may or may not happen but you can't forget what she did even if you tried.

Bro made an extremely wrong decision. That wife wouldn't have cut off with Marjus if the OP hadn't confronted her. She just created some emotional story as an excuse. Also that psychiatrist literally gaslighted him to take the wife back. I feel like she was paid by his wife and her parents.

He has a terrible therapist! He said clearly that the idea of the guy and how she responded to him makes him feel insecure and less than and his therapist talking about “take her back don’t let the man she smashed and did the most for win!? This man experienced the fantasies with her that she wouldn’t give her husband, she has been with men whose character disgusts her husband, he should walk away and never look back!
