    It’s literally the mom who’s keeping the drama alive because she thinks her precious golden child is being “punished unfairly”, but Mark doesn’t want to be In the wedding. Not unless Mark is saying something behind closed doors and Dad the enabler is not reigning in his delusional wife.

    What completely baffles me is that mark uninvited himself. Their mother had literally no point in fighting to invite him because he wouldn’t show up regardless. She assaulted his fiancee and excused Mark’s attempt at ruining her son’s happiness for literally no reason. She needs more than family therapy, she needs specific personal therapy to look into why shes so delusional. I think she’s genuinely ill. Their father is an enabler and needs to acknowledge when his wife is doing wrong and needs help working on that as well, but he’s not as mentally concerning as her. Mark is unfortunately the product of favoritism and while he could attempt to be amicable, he doesn’t understand what’s wrong because he’s always enabled, excused, and given what he wants. He needs a grip on reality, but their mother needs to be locked up either behind bars or in a mental hospital for a little while to understand shes not being “treated” like a villain, she IS a villain.

      💯% mom has been fully corrupted by the insidious, supernatural parasite women are born with.
      Parasite be like:
      Amicable breakups of toxic relationships (in this case OP and his brother) are poison to us.
      Without toxic social relationships, humans are virtually impossible to corrupt. Their weaknesses of extreme ego, vanity, moral fanaticism, etc. cannot be exploited.
      =========
      It makes sense from the parasite's point of view. Probably hoping to spread to Mark.
      OP's mother just obeys the parasite's commands.
      The parasite is non-sapient so has lower intelligence than a human. Think like a cat 🐈.
      =====
      The parasites actions backfired though. The family just got sick of mom's drama.
      OP and gf got closer from bonding from the shared bizarre experience.
      So happy 😆 ending.

    Mark was the golden child of the family, to the point OOP's parents forced him to give him his car OOP bought with his money, and even put shellfish with the OOP is allergic to in a dinner supposedly for OOP. OOP leaves state for college and cuts contact with toxic parents. Jenn, only dated Mark for a month because Mark "got bored" of a relationship. Oop meets Jenn when he moves back into state, and only reestablishes contact for his sisters, and isn't aware mark dated jenn, bc he was no contact with the family.
    Mark is still sort of a shitty brother golden baby boy, mommy dearest assaults Jenn in epic tantrum, and Daddy dearest is an enabler. Still see golden boy Mark as their baby who can do no wrong.

    I think the only viable solution would've been to get OP, Mark, and the mother in a room and have OP directly ask him if he wants to go.
    If Mark has been honest, he'll have the same response and the mother will be forced to hear that she is trying to hurt her golden child by trying to get him into the wedding.
    If Mark has been dishonest, he'll have to maintain the lie with either OP or the mother, thereby revealing his manipulation to the other. This is good for the mother as her golden child will have blatantly lied to her, or good for the OP as his brother will actively prove that he should have his contact cut as well.

    As egotistical as Mark is, it sounds like he is everything his parents raised him to be - a self-absorbed prick. OP's mom sounds psychotic, and dad sounds to be an enabler of this behavior. Mom's entire family sounds like they're probably the same. Honestly, OP and his sisters sound like they'd all be a lot happier to cut them out of their lives. They'd have a smaller pool of family, sure, but the pool they have would reinforce and build them up, rather than tear them down.
    Honestly, as weird as it sounds, Mark sounds like he's the only one who might actually be salvageable between him and OP's parents., because as crazy and as selfish as he is, he isn't goading it on. As I said, he's just what he was raised to be - he doesn't know anything else. All it takes is for him to realize that there's something wrong and to decide he wants to fix it. Hopefully he realizes just how entitled he is and grows past it and becomes a better person, and maybe he can still repair his relationship with OP, though I admit that might just be hopeful wishing on my part, crazier things have happened.

Mark will publicly fake a proposal, embarrassing himself and everyone there but he won't call his mom to cool off a situation he started. When shit hit the fan, that's when he wanted to stay out of it. I'm only halfway thru the video... But even if Mark was invited, HE WOULDN'T FREAKING COME! So it doesn't make sense for the family to care so freaking much if he was uninvited. It's like, HEY FAMILY! HE SAID HE DOESN'T WANT TO COME OR EVEN BE INVITED! It'd be a waste of paper to send him an invite. If they're upset that OP isn't at least making such an empty meaningless gesture, it's just so stupid & they want a reason to be mad at OP.
    But Mark saying, "Leave me out of the fighting." Does that mean he refused to tell the family that he uninvited himself? Bc that's just him letting the family be mad at OP, & kinda stirring up trouble for OP on purpose, imo. Okay, back to the story for me now.

    I'll ask the same question I asked the last time I heard this story in a different video. Jenn dated Mark for a month... and never once caught his last name?
    Even if it was a super common name, easily explained away by coincidence, it's hard to believe Jenn would never mention that coincidence. "Huh. Your last name is Smith? My last boyfriend's name was Smith too. Hope the two of you aren't related, lol!" And the odds are pretty good that whatever the name is, it's less common than Smith.
