At least we don't get flooded or worry about bushfires this is our home and we're proud of our town
Feels weird that I'm Australian but I've never heard of this place
Hami101 yeah me too!!
Hami101 you must live under a rock...
Most Australians know about Coober pedy
Dude! You gotta get out there.
Callum Balodis Nope, but they literally do!
Down under....down under !
I’m in Montreal and the summer gets as hot as 30c. and I hate it. But Australia can get as hot as 50 Celsius. No thank you give me the cold any day and I’ll live above ground. This kind of freaks me out.
Just drove a nice couple from there in my taxi in fort Lauderdale. They told me about living underground in desert Opel mine area such a nice couple here on wedding anniversary cruise. That's a very nice place you live in Down there!!
I want to go visit there
This town reminds of Tatooine, especially the part at 1:14, feels like Luke's home.
although I live here, I would not recommended other people move here, as our local council but us millions in debt
jesse manfred except from that is it an overall good place Cobber?
This is so beautiful, I'd love to have a house like this in NZ..
Taking me to coober as a 5 year old was the best things my parents ever did growing up there in the 80s was amazing.
Hmm i might go see dad next week....
Great educational video
if we want to live on the moon or mars, this little TOWN might be a good place to get some ideas from
Very interesting town
Hills have eyes town
*hills have holes that will kill you if your in the mine field at night*
Whose come after Geography Now?
Good place to film an Australian horror movie, isn’t
Most nuclear blast resistant town
with Melbourne's new extreme climate (45 deg C in summers, gusty winds all year round, long freezing winters) we need to study housing in Coober Pedy
Freezing winters hahah 15 isnt freezing.. try a Manitoba winter gets to -50
Bish we need to live in weather controlled underground bunker Melbourne weather is too unpredictable one minute we’re gonna be having a cool cold day the next minute we’re having a tropical storm!
@@daydreamingstars2980 Exactly. Builders in Melbourne should be designing climate-controlled underground bunkers.
How very interesting
Very interesting 🌺💕👵❤️
Its a very famous underground place that Aussie admire. Anyone who has been to Oz knows about it.
Oh so you’ve flown into Mars? Hmmmmm interesting 🧐
😂 😂
3:03 Live under ground for cheap but try to rob above ground people with prices of stones, $300 to $4000.
America- *“Welcome to America we have a Lawless town!”*
Australians- *“welcome to Australia we live underground!”*
New Zealand- *“Welcome to new Zealand we REALLY love sheep 🐑😘,”*
23c is STILL too hot. Anything over 20c is too hot.
Ha, that's winter for me in Florida. It regularly gets to 36-37 degrees celsius in the summer for me.
I wouldn’t mind a replica Skywalker residence dug out of the rock. A North African style, I think.
Australia = Borderlands + Mad Max rolled into one
Thanx 4 the tour ✌
wifi right
Mad Max
They are primed to survive the apocalypse. Not sure where the food and water come from though
no moisture farm?
No necessary. We live atop the great artesian basin, which is renewed every year.
this is the only way to survive on Mars
Yeah...they're nuts.
Haven’t been there in years
At least there prepared for the zombie apocalypse lol
Search about Petra city the miracle in Jordan built by Arab civilisation
sent those people to mars and they will survive
شو يا ايمن
Irl hobits
Is it also the place where monsters live?
Hate to be shopping In summer and some one has bad gas can’t air the way have to run away
Not funny at all
So housing is free?
no, you have to own or rent your dugout
له يا جبار خزيتنا بعنصريتك الغير مبرره
@@jessejamesmanfred6319 no, you can peg your dugout ( mine is ) you still pay rates but thats all.
yes, but you pay rates, and digging a dugout isn't cheap !
@@sundancer442 how did you just "peg" your dugout? whos land did you tunnel on? there is no free land left any left over land ether belongs to the government or umoona, and to have water connected you need to have proof of legal occupancy
You got an airplane....I do? Yeah...it might just save your life....it will?
She's cute all around, especially with that Aussie accent.
You said red dust everywhere you can see then welcome to Australia
I live in a desert as well the high desert of California not too far from death valley anyway I know a lot of people that make the desert their home some have tried to put their houses underground. Housing is the problem right now in the United States. RVs are everywhere I didn't know they made so many but as you know gasoline is bad for the planet. A religious minimalist would only need water food and a Bible. Oh yeah and God.
I saw rather a tourist curiosity than anything else. Albeit a weird one at that... where are the ppl? Looking at the title vs content....
COULD BE THE DÒGc
they forgot about the council not even being able to keep the public pool open during summer, and the fact they are in debt
chanks ya yank, dont come back please
