Currently driving a long flat stretch through New Mexico and this song sorta floated back into my head from where ever. I'm gonna call mine, On the Road to Albuquerque. Thanks Mike Rowe for your excellent voice!
Did an interview for a job at Roxby Downs (which is on the way to Coober Pedy) and all I had going in my head during the interview was 'on the road to Cooper Pedy there's a thousand ways to die'...
Used to live in Woomera (0:21) When they were still doing missile and weapons testing (late 60's). The road was all dirt then, except for about 20 k's out of Port Augusta at the southern end. No way you fell asleep then, the potholes soon woke you up
Dirty jobs down under: cooperpeedy, loved the show and the songs. The tung in cheek ozy jokeswere a riyot one of the best showes i have seen yet in the seariys loved it.
I wonder how many lives have been saved, by people watching this episode, and then having that (rather skillful) ear-worm run through their brain as they were getting heavy-eyed.
Alpha_Wolf so are there actually just fucking big ass spiders hanging around all over the place or?? I know this is 4 years later and tbh you’re probably dead from said spiders
@Hans Peiper Yea he says there are no rest stops but there are plenty on rd to coober pedy! I had peaceful drive up there in february, until our car broke down in NT!

I'm just saying if he turned the road to Coober Pedy into an actual song I would buy it...

Very nice. His songwriting is actually pretty good.
Awesome song
No rest stops along the way?
And i took my glasses off for this? Lol

Matt Sprayberry drive from Adelaide north, pass Port Augusta turn right and drive for 5 1/2 hours and you are here at Coober Pedy. Welcome
This song has lemony snicket vibes
thats like driving I-70 across Kansas and eastern Colorado, drive for 300 miles and feel like you havent moved an inch
I know this is 8 yrs old. I think they put trivia game signs on the road, to keep ppl awake, have little fun.
its only a 10 hr drive , to Perth its 3000, so 25 hours if you like too steak

This road should have no speed limit!
You won't think that when you hit a big red or cattle going 200k's, as he said you'll be dead.

Probably no lives have been saved from this episode

Funny stuff!!
Uuuh 537 km converts to 333 miles not 3000 lol.
Lol love this soooo funny
It's been a while, but I'm back for this gem hahaha
They rented an automatic
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Shes going to jail next
Wtf am I doing here
perfect jobs for people of the lower class.
A slightly exaggerated experience in my opinion and misleading.
@Hans Peiper Yea he says there are no rest stops but there are plenty on rd to coober pedy! I had peaceful drive up there in february, until our car broke down in NT!
@Hans Peiper Just needed an expensive tow and mechanic in alice springs to get us back on the road. All part of the adventure!
@@SamClaywth he says in the video that's its 3000 miles. Doesn't make sense as 500 km equals about 300 miles.
bit disrepectful
falling asleep the wheel is no laughing matter !
You must be a blast at a party. 😒
