I recently by passed my ignition switch and hooked up a push button. Ran fine for a week and came back out and I hooked it back up and tried to start it but my car has no power at all now. My car charger work, head lights, back light but nothing on the dash comes up when I have the key in run
Take a look to the fuses for the dash and the fuse link as well. This sounds like the typical 2005-2009 Toyota Prius dashboard lights off when turning on, fuse link is damaged.
It looks like you did not cut the wires off of that connector in order to splice the extra wire on, is that correct? I'm that case, there is a way to splice onto essentially the side of the wire?
I did this to my car recently to by pass the ignition switch . It ran perfect for a few days and it ran fine. Went inside the store few days after installing and came back out and no lights are coming on on the dash when I have the key in run position to start the push button. Would you know why that is
Nothing 1995 and up you can't, unless you know how to decode cars make a fake fob then no , but I'm not telling you to commit felonies , but what I am saying is you should get something pre 1995 even then most cars still had security systems like Fords have PATS systems where you need the key or fob within the vehicle , 1991 and back didn't have anything like that for trucks , 92 everything changed with power locks on most trucks even though power locks were on vehicles in say 1985 , there was no ignition modules for security back then only aftermarket crap...
Nice work man, it looks really clean too.
Thank you!
