I've hired Focus Jafiras in Tenerife, no place was hiring FS- the most annoying thing is getting a slow 2A charger with the bike so it limits how fast you can charge up and ultimately usually means only getting out on it once a day...
Like someone flipped a switch. In one year we have rentals of rocky mountain powerplays, norco vlt, spesh levo and kenevo and pivot shuttle. Wouldnt be surprised if we see trek , kona and giant added next year. Revelstoke mt resort is building trails that work well for them. Climb off the top of the gondola to get to the looong dh
I rented a Haibike xduro 3.0 for a week from the LBS in Brighton marina back in July and it wasn't particularly cheap. 50 quid per day for the rental fee plus a 2,500 (refundable) deposit. No insurance available, you are fully responsible while it is in your possession, hence the hefty deposit.
Bike hire in general in the U.K. is incredibly poor and overly expensive from what I’ve seen at least. I saw one place in Cambridge that had good quality bikes for a reasonable price. I’m not sure about e-Bikes or EMTB. Hopefully things are improving nationwide.
we hired 3 EMBT's in Keswick a couple of weeks ago. Excellent value £40 for the day to hire hardtail. £60 for full sus. Had a great day at Whinlatter MTB park
In Croatia, we do ebike hire and drop off/pick up bikes anywhere you want, or we can tailor a multi day bike tour for you and your buddies . Just drop us a message via ebike-pdl.com What ebikes do we have? Specialized Kenevo 2019, so we can go in any terrain you desire.
With the fashion for integrated batteries specific to an individual bike brand at the moment a hire company can't cater for every bike brands batteries.
We have done a few MTB trips on vacation in the States. In the US, rules on EMTBs vary by state. Some states, they are treated like NTBs, in other states they are treated like motor bikes so can’t be taken on singletrack. Worth checking on the rules where you are planning to ride. California is fine but Utah (Moab) and Arizona (Sedona) are more restrictive.
I should open one of these things on Mexico, in my border town we have epic hills and good weather, and most importantly no one gives a shit if your ebike can go fast! just gotta watch out any pendejo that doesnt know how to drive if you want to ride in the city, every driver will be an asshole to you and there are no bike lanes, nada! (should offer life insurance as well 😂)
Have you hired an E-MTB yet? Let us know 👇

I've rented FS eMTB's recently in Arco, Italy and San Diego, CA, USA. Bother were easy and fun. A great way to see the areas. Cheaper in Italy.
I rent them out instead we got around 40
I looked to hire one here in Aberdeen. Edinburgh Bike Coop requires a 1000 deposit which is totally ludicrous and just puts people off.
Good item Steve. Worth pointing out to check that the brakes are on the right sides, often, they're the wrong way around for UK riders.
A subject in the point once again !! Well done !! eMTB tourism.
I can’t wait to travel and hire an Ebike!
I think I’d also bring , (in addition to pads , helmet and chamois), my stem and pedals.
This is brilliant thanks Steve - i was just starting to think about a trip like this. You didn’t cover the cost of a guide per day. Any notes on that?

I would not be parting with 2.5K of me wedge even if refundable.
Like this. Not as much as I expected it would cost.
Luca is Italian version of Don)
Whats the name of the place in italy ??????????
Molini di Triora

Mick Rowe Still more than in Italy but it seems like things are better than I thought. Good to know :)

Can you just rent a battery?
