I work at a local vape shop, and I can recommend to get more vapor and cloud production, giving the atomizer more airflow along with the actual liquid will produce more than just the liquid itself. hope this helps!
Slap Stick Possibly drilling an air hole near the bottom of the atomizer. Most atomizers have an airflow that is adjustable by twisting. So instead of completely sealing off the bottom, leave an small hole for more airflow along with the air pump. Or even leaving a section of the existing airflow of the atomizer exposed.

This is actually excellent. I love your videos and have learned so much in just the few weeks since i found your channel. But I wanted to share a tip with you :) The part on the vaporizer that you soldered the red wire to is a small pin that is removable, either by wiggling or unscrewing. Once that's out, there is a small rubber insulator to keep that positive pin from touching the rest of the tank, which is negative. I would recommend removing that pin to solder to it, and placing it back. This is to avoid possibly burning or melting that insulator with the heat from the soldering iron. :)
Great tutorial! I was trying to make some fake smoke/fire for my costume and borrowed a vape from a friend, but couldn't quite figure out how to arrange things to work well. At the end where you showed a few different options I saw the style that I have! The bigger tank with the air vents on the side. Seeing your solution helped me big time! Thanks!

Hello svetlana! Thank you for making this video! I have two tips/suggestions - 1. For battery safety, make sure your lithium ion batteries have protection circuitry built in to them, or order an external circuit for the battery. It is bad to over charge, over stress, or over drain lithium batteries. They can be very violent! A protection circuit makes sure that your battery stays happy and that none of your props catch on fire :) tip 2 - when soldering, use some soldering flux after roughing up the metal. This cleans off any impurities in the metal and helps the soldier adhere really well!
Thank you for this tutorial. I actually went through Megaman's tutorial for smoke mahcines and he makes really detailed description of how the stuff works out but he has really bad camera and it didn't focus in the (for me) most important parts. Now I know how to assemble a fog machine and thanks to him I will also make a wireless smoke :) Maybe you can show us next time wireless smoke too.
Hi, To weld a wire on a piece of metal of this size requires a lot of heat so a larger soldering iron tip makes the task easier. Chrome or nikel plating must be scratched to give a grip to the solder, also uses flux, which will allow you to solder more easily. Have a good day!
I found this while looking for a teardown of the MicroFogger units, this was incredibly helpful and showed that I definitely need'nt pay 160 for something I can make for a couple bucks. Thank you very much!
7:27 Running a vape for more than a few seconds can apparently overheat the coil since it's not made for prolonged use like a fog machine. The glass casing can overheat and crack or burst. Boiling hot vape juice can lead to bad burns. But enough of that... EXCELLENT VIDEO as always!:D
If you have a similar problem with solder not adhering to a surface and all you need is a mechanical connection, then I would suggest either drilling and taping a hole for a screw to hold the wire or use a tech screw, which will drill and tap its own hole.
This is SICK! When you put the final foam details onto the buttresses I had a genuine smile on my face! And that wasn't even the end!!! Also thank you so much for the ep titles & number, it has been my only frustration with the channel and partly why I didn't watch as much for a while because I had no idea what was what anymore. Also good to know you had a very good reason for it, nice to have a balance now 😊. KEEP IT UP. I would be great to see more models on the boards. Maybe a 'simple' 'stop motion' type narrative thing rather than a full on game so you can 'easily' do it by yourself before it's al fully ready.
I’m so glad that I found this tutorial. I’ve been working on a cosplay mandalorian gauntlet but I couldn’t find a cheap way to make the flamethrower functional. Thanks
This is an amazing video, thank you! I've often wondered how to get this effect in costumes. Here are some very minor suggestions: * Use a heat gun to shrink the heat shrink tubing. Maybe you were using a lighter so it was more accessible to the audience so apologies if you know this already. * Using flux with solder greatly improves flow and adhesion of solder. I don't know how well it would work in this use case but it's worth a shot. I think drilling the whole so the wire can go in through the side is ingenious...I would have tried to solder it from the top and it would have been so much less elegant than your solution. * Basic electronics skills go a long way to understanding and debugging issues. I would suggest investing in a mutlimeter so you can test continuity and voltage. I also found "Practical Guide to Electronics for Inventors" to be very accessible and practical. I don't know why your circuit was shorting out though. Did you ever figure out exactly why the circuit was shutting down? Were wires exploding? Were the motors being fried? Also, did you ever get a sense for how long you can continuously run each of those vape pens? Do you also have ideas for continuously feeding the pens from a larger reservoir?
I am not planning to do any cosplay (sorry to say ;) ) But Watching you making your cosplay stuff make me happy and smile. I love your bright and happy attitude! You make me smile and happy! Thanks so much.
I've got to ask you, I just built one using the same 1.8ohm Kanger T2 and a 6v mini pump. Pump works fine on 9v battery to test. Attached the kanger to my bench power supply, gave it the required 3.7v, and it does jack and shit. I filled it with a 30% glycerin/70% distilled water fog juice mix not to the top, and warm air is coming out, but no fog. I tried attaching the kanger to a 9v battery as well thinking it needed more power, and still...warm air, no fog. I allowed the vape to sit filled for 30 minutes prior to giving it juice. Any idea?
^.^ "Sol-der... soooolder... solder" Is there even a right way to pronounce it? That was a cute moment. Thank you! I've been looking for a simple way to pull this off given what I have available to me and this has been the simplest and most effective mini fogger i've seen!
Excellent results. Couple of notes on electric design - the soldering would be much easier with proper flux. The battery doesn't seem to have discharge protection circuit - over discharging LiIion is quite dangerous, not only it kills the battery but it can cause them to combust.

As an RC car guy, I recommend using NiMH or NiCAD battery packs instead of LiPO or LiFE batteries. The NiMH/NiCAD batteries won't be damaged if they are completely run down. The LiPO/LiFE batteries can be ruined if they are depleted too much. The only way to prevent this would to be adding in a battery monitor and cut-off to prevent over-depletion. Also NiCAD/NiMH batteries are cheaper.
I love watching your videos. They get me wanting to build a cosplay outfit. But I haven't really decided what I want to build. This smoke machine idea is awesome. Thanks for sharing this video!
1 part glycerine and 1 part propylene glycol is ideal for fog I've found. It lingers the longest, is the fastest pumping and thickest mixture I've found.
Third one like it that I have seen this week but I have to say it is the best one I've seen yet. You should get some more airflow through the atomizer if you want more fog. With that one larger atomizer and tank you have, you should be able to get some serious clouds of fog.
Thank you for another amazing video! I use one for my Maleficent cosplay and have 1 comment- the type of battery you use often makes a big difference in the smoke output. I use phone chargers so sometimes you have to do a little trial and error to find the one that works best :)
I followed your instructions, and it worked! Thanks! Took me a while to figure out that the thin wire (3:45) isn't commonly sold in big retail stores, at least not where I live in the USA. Had to order it on Amazon. I'm using this tool for a flesh-burning effect in a video. Fingers crossed it works!
OMG! Du bist wunderbar!!! Thank you for all your time and effort to show us this tutorial! I want to make Pyro Cosplay from TF2, and It's kinda a joke to call him SPyro, Pyro+Spyro the Dragon. Now I'm thinking it would be funny to combine cosplay and make a smoke breathing Pyro the Dragon that breaths smoke from the grills of the gas mask!! Ha. I"m dreaming, but I'm thinking more and more to try from watching your vids. You are so inspiring!
7:19 I strongly suggest that anybody attempting to build this checks that you have no short circuit when you attach the battery - or you may end up with a flaming..or worse...exploding LIPO. If you do not have a multimeter to check that the circuit is not shorted - do a first run of the machine with regular batteries. Only after then should you attempt to use LIPO cell. If you cannot do either - do first run of the machine outside and stand clear of the battery.
tip for soldering: use some flux, it helps cleaning the metal surfaces and 'wetting' the solder to adhere more easily to the copper and soldering surfaces
I'd suggest for the battery to use one of those recharge banks like they have for power on the go and use a USB connection. They charge, last a long time and if you know circuits you can make them produce more or less power.
Could always use flavored e-juice to get better smells from the vaporizer. Funny watching a cosplayer walk past with the vaporizer going, and smelling strawberries.
A less portable but more longer running set up is to have an ultrasonic cleaner or humidifier, they can produce quite a bit of water vapour fog and some of them can run for hours! But you also can't install them easily into a prop and they have parts that can spill and so on...
Just some suggestions to improve this: get one of drivers with batteries from the vape shop too, they are called "mods" there. Much safer to use them since they are especially made for driving these coils. That way you can also use lower ohm coils like a mesh coil for example which would produce 10 times more vape then the one you showed. It is also much easier to power the coil since you don't have to solder anything on. Can either use the power from them to power the air pump to or have two switches. Oh and they produce vape, not smoke btw ;) These mods come in various sizes so it should be easy to find a small one that fits into props. There are also some liquid pumps that are way quieter then the one you got there. Or use a radial fan, those are made to produce high air pressure so can push out the vape much better. Hope this helps ;)
So at the start of the video I was like, oh ok not bad I could do this. Then she went into the break down and I was like, huh, ok I think I still got this? (got lost in the smolding section lol). Then when it got to the part of different smoke machine and the pros and cons I was like, welp, I'm lost XD. Great video, I'll dabble in smoke machines when I get more experiences lol.
I'm dying to buy your book but I don't have any freaking money on PayPal!! I swear I'm going to get them as soon as possible I love all your tutorials and your personality. Please keep going!!
Get yourself some flux to help with soldering on those big metal components. Actually, it's handy for all sorts of soldering. Great for LED tape too. You might be able to get away with lead-free solder with a hot enough iron and plenty of flux. Also if you are going to use leaded solder (like shown in the video) you might want to get a fume extractor. Lead fumes are not great for your health. Another option if you are attaching a wire to something too big to solder- tap a small hole and put a screw into the tapped hole, and use the screw to hold down the wire. You can attach a ring terminal to the wire to make it even cleaner.
so guess my new slogan is "buy my smokemachines" ? :P
was my pleasure to help you out, and to stop you from pulling out your hair from frustration :D
Thanks again for the tips! :)

Third one like it that I have seen this week but I have to say it is the best one I've seen yet. You should get some more airflow through the atomizer if you want more fog. With that one larger atomizer and tank you have, you should be able to get some serious clouds of fog.
Cool werde ich dieses Jahr für Halloween ausprobieren👍
Girl, I friggin love you, your Corgies, and your videos 😍
Awesome and funny video as always. Thanks mate!
Cuteness wins another sub 👍 cool show
7:19 I strongly suggest that anybody attempting to build this checks that you have no short circuit when you attach the battery - or you may end up with a flaming..or worse...exploding LIPO.
If you do not have a multimeter to check that the circuit is not shorted - do a first run of the machine with regular batteries. Only after then should you attempt to use LIPO cell.
If you cannot do either - do first run of the machine outside and stand clear of the battery.
Just get a lipo with safety like I write in my video description
@@KamuiCosplay I missed that! Well, i guess if i missed that - others may miss it too - so an extra warning does not hurt!
never thought about a vaporizer for making smoke-effects. Awesome!
The little fart noises XD I almost died hahaha
Mwahaha
Benny must be so proud.
I love your tutorials so bad. I hope u would make more tutorials like these one. Also I'm your big fan
Dude thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve been looking for a good one for a while.
tip for soldering: use some flux, it helps cleaning the metal surfaces and 'wetting' the solder to adhere more easily to the copper and soldering surfaces
I'd suggest for the battery to use one of those recharge banks like they have for power on the go and use a USB connection. They charge, last a long time and if you know circuits you can make them produce more or less power.
I feel like Laura Bailey based Jester directly off you.
But also very cool! I have just the thing in mind for one of these!
That is bloody awesome.
Could always use flavored e-juice to get better smells from the vaporizer. Funny watching a cosplayer walk past with the vaporizer going, and smelling strawberries.
Fogkk 😂😂 thanks for this beautiful tutorial i love youu kamuiii cosplay❣😉👌
great video as always and just in case everyone missed it dont forget " BUY HER BOOKS " :)
A less portable but more longer running set up is to have an ultrasonic cleaner or humidifier, they can produce quite a bit of water vapour fog and some of them can run for hours! But you also can't install them easily into a prop and they have parts that can spill and so on...
But everything gets wet.
This will work wonders for my TF2 Sentry gun, thank you.
Awesome. If you offset your + and - wires slightly, you can use a single piece of heat shrink and safe some time and bulk!
Love the smell of burnt wix
So at the start of the video I was like, oh ok not bad I could do this. Then she went into the break down and I was like, huh, ok I think I still got this? (got lost in the smolding section lol). Then when it got to the part of different smoke machine and the pros and cons I was like, welp, I'm lost XD. Great video, I'll dabble in smoke machines when I get more experiences lol.
Im getting one of your books for my birthday.
I'm dying to buy your book but I don't have any freaking money on PayPal!! I swear I'm going to get them as soon as possible I love all your tutorials and your personality. Please keep going!!
They are worth the money. Every bit of it.
