As a Mother hearing stories about humans that have had to live a life without the support of their Parents! Blows my mind!!! Sending mama hugs from this old straight Mama from New Zealand YOU ARE AN AMAZING HUMAN I love you ❤ Matt another amazing interview thank you for sharing your blessings with us xo
While growing up in this religion & seeing what it did to my sister's & especially my parents, it's shameful. My dad's brother died at 2 bc they denied the transfusion. Once my family got out of it, we were all disfellowshiped & disowned by my dad's side. I can't imagine the heart break he went thru so he could protect himself & his family. I was that kid going door to door too. I'm so happy Rob is living his life for himself & no one else. I hope if he sees this, he knows that he is supported. There's thousands of us out there that escaped & came out ok, much better than if we had stayed & put up with abuse, lies, manipulation in the name of God. I remember once the whole congregation searched our house bc my sister was hiding Goosebumps books under her bed, & that's not even that bad compared to the suxcides, rxpes, disowning, etc.
This was almost exactly how I felt when I left. It was a death. And like I was ripped apart from what I new no matter how slowly I did it. It was the most disheartening thing to feel CONDITIONAL love. Thank you for this it’s nice to see that the things I struggle with now aren’t all in my head.
It's amazing today to see so many people leaving this "religion". The Watchtower is even starting to run out of money. If this global trend continues this cult will soon filled with cobwebs.
@@Forexroadrunner For several years this cult has only regularly suggested to the followers to make donations. The Watchtower is forced to sell hundreds of kingdom halls around the world. Even the world headquarters in Brooklyn was sold. Even Sophia and Caleb participate in anchoring in the minds of children that it is necessary to give money. Today this cult is dying before our eyes as if eaten away from the inside by a collective disillusion that affects more and more followers. The hemorrhaging of voluntary departures are only at the beginning. The Watchtower is already dead but the leaders don't know it yet.
I grew up in the religion and a lot of the stuff he’s saying is false my gma was a converted jw from idk saw a pic of her with a cross but not with Jesus just a plain cross but anyways from when my mom was like 5 til the day she past away at 94 and she loved me and welcomed me as I was and she was baptized and wasn’t told to not talk to me or any of her kids and my mom cussed a lot lol. And in no way is it a cult. I’m not a jw but it is my religion I practice.
@@jamespinhead1 I'm glad I left this fundamentalist cult, I would no longer need to explain the absurd “dual generation” that is increasingly becoming a stumbling block for honest JWs. Constrained by the passage of time, Jehovah's Witnesses have been forced to teach this unbiblical “dual generation” that puts reason and common sense to shame. This totally artificial reinterpretation has become so convoluted that it has become today for all JWs much more difficult to explain in preaching. So complicated that today, unlike yesterday, this prophecy is no longer even put forward in preaching. Where have these so-called lights supposed to make the prophecies clearer over time? For decades the Watchtower claimed to receive its lights directly from the Holy Spirit of God and yet over time all the different “divine lights” that enlightened this “generation” were revealed to be more false than the others. The passage of time reveals the disproportionate pride of this cult which, instead of humbly recognizing its inability to understand this “generation”, prefers to persist in its false interpretations, going so far today as to artificially twist the words of Jesus by making them less understandable. Stubbornness in error to the point of absurdity is a characteristic of proud humans. Proverbs 16:18 After pride comes a fall. That's it, it's over, the generation of 1914 no longer exists. There is no more Jehovah's Witness since 2008. Today there are only Watchtower witnesses to teach this “Watchtorian” aberration. That's it, it's over, this “elastic” generation no longer deceives anyone, except those who want to prolong at all costs the generation of 1914 which no longer exists. The blindness of the followers to follow men pushed them to agree to twist the words of Jesus to artificially keep afloat the generation of 1914 which no longer exists. The passing years will only demonstrate the die-hard vanity of this cult. It reminds me of Mr Rutherford who had the house of princes built to welcome the patriarchs of old and who said to all those who laughed, we will see who will laugh last. Finally, the last to laugh were the same ones from the first hour. The passage of time is a powerful revealer. That's it, it's over, despite everything some JWs will go so far as to lose all dignity by clinging to the slightest news that could still give them a semblance of hope, but that's it... it's over.
Currently, the Watchtower is worth (conservatively) $30B. They have plenty of money. But donations are dropping off. They now spend more money than they take in for the members.
Rob did a great job of explaining coming out of the JW faith as a gay man! Respectfully handled. I'm a lot older so I was the typical gay (aware but not sexually active) man that married a nice Witness girl at 19, had some kids, and then had to figure out how to exit the mess I had gotten myself in. Like Rob, I prepared for life outside the faith since I lost faith in the church teachings and planned my own exit. Life went from depression and fatigue to one of freedom and happiness. Great interview!
As a person who grew up as a JW and hated the religion then as much as I do now. I empathize with your story. I can't imagine your pain but your sacrifice brought you freedom. The freedom I experience daily is priceless! I'm not gay or trans but have been forever changed because of the divide that this religion imposes on families. Big Hug!
@Diane Guzman Thank you! I lost my biological mother as a result of living my truth. She disowned me. She was already abusive and part of me is glad she stopped talking to me but the other part mourns losing my mother. It feels good to hear that I'm not alone in leaving that toxic "religion". The damage they did is far worse than anything anyone can imagine, I don't wish that kind of life path on ANYONE.
@ 5:00 on when they talk about coming out to friends and family , my therapist had the best way of me explaining “coming out” to someone that might be taking the news harder with more ignorance than others, she said, you can let them know, “ I am still the same person, friend, family member, co-worker, etc etc etc…you just know more about me now and who I’ve always been” Anywho, I hope that helps someone else out who is reading these comments looking for some advice on dealing with others reacting to you being LGBTQIA+ And I paid $150 per hour for that therapy session, so I am giving it out on here for free, you’re welcome…..lol
my dads side of my family are Jehovas Witness, and before I was born my aunt passed away because she needed a blood transfusion and wasn't able to have one because of her religion. It breaks my heart to think about.. that my grandparents had to lose their child because of a strict rule in a religion.. it has never made sense to me.
I connected with this so much. I was born into the same religion and hated it. Being black and gay in a rural community I knew when I turned 18 it was deuces for me! I left and never looked back. But I will say taking the boy away from the religion was much easier than taking the religion from the boy.
Wow. I've been watching your series for the last week and now I found this video. I was born into the JW cult. Grand dad & father were both elders. My parent's went into it thinking that they were doing God's work but they quickly saw all the lies, the manipulation, the rxpes, suxcuides, disowning family members who aren't part of the cult. Many people in our towns JW house were molested & if they tried to speak out, no one would believe them. Many would get disowned. Many would kxll themselves bc their family won't talk to them anymore. I'm thankful my parents saw through the smoke & mirrors that they so perfectly placed. Unfortunately, my dad's side has completely disowned him. He has no family other than the one he created now. What kind of God would want that?
So inspiring Matt! I was tearing up at his story. Thank you Rob for sharing it. Matt as you know I love ya and so proud of you. Can’t wait to see the rest of the episodes. You are amazing & blessed to know you. It’s a very honest perspective and made me so happy seeing you do something you love❤️🙌🏻❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻
That’s was so nice to watch. Real and nuanced. It’s a very particular upbringing and it’s hard to explain it to others - and I don’t bring it up usually. Thank you ❤
Thank you Matt for posting these videos. All humans deserve to live their best lives and tell their stories. Your empathy and compassion is so awesome.
I’m a Jehovah Witness, and my niece is Bisexual and we love and support her ❤. I’m sorry that y’all experienced that . I am able to have friends outside of my religion as well .. maybe it’s a difference between African American Jehovah Witnesses and White
Well same for me and Im mexican and a Jehovah Witness I have a sister whos is lesbian and a brother who is gay. And the one thing I will never forget that I was told by a Witness was to love them more and pray for there happiness.
@@paulinerey4559 it’s so crazy, I don’t understand the stories people be on here telling. That’s a problem within the families they come from, not the organization.
I had a gay friend kill himself due to rejection after being found out as gay. He was outed by another member and was shunned from the church. Eventually he made his way back into their good graces, but they found out he was seeing men again, and was shunned for a final time. Everyone shunned him including parents. This was in southern california. Maybe there are differences between chapters, but its bad....
Great interview! This was so interesting and inspiring. Rob and I used to work together and he is the most fun, funny and humble soul. You guys did an amazing job. 👍🏼🥰
I’m watching back all of your videos and I love the empathy you give people… you may not completely understand them, but you’re able to recognize their struggles is so real and tough! All your guests are wonderful on their own, but your character brings out their true stories too ❤️ I love this series!!
This was very interesting I am so happy to see you great first episode. Matt So happy to see you look so good I hope things are going good for you I have missed you
Wow, Matt, wow. This is some great stuff! I love the content, your interview style, and the conversation of course! Where did you meet/find Rob? I am so excited about this new series and think it’s going to get a lot of attention! This is exactly what we need today… sincere, honest, real conversations. Love ya!
Thank you so much Anne!!! I found him on FB, in a group I became part of to try to find people to interview. I just got lucky with how amazing he is. Love you too!!!!
I was about 7yrs old when my grandmother first joined the congregation. She had 9 siblings and within 1 yr all but one had been converted. By the time I was 9 we were so deep into it, they were even planning my marriage with another strongly devoted families son so they could become even more powerful in the church. It was sickening watching my family go from a loving unit turn into an extremely judgemental and excluding cult. We finally got out when I turned 14 but 2 of my aunts are still engulfed and won’t talk to anyone who isn’t a part of the church. They even blame my family members who left the congregation for the stain that is placed on their name in the community now. And they made it very clear that they could no longer associate with us. I hope one day they see the light and are able to transition back into the loving family we once were. What I am happy about is that ppl are finally able to share their opinions bc I always felt like JW was a cult but when your in the lifestyle & surrounded by believers you feel like the odd one out.
As someone who grew up in this organization from birth, I can identify with Rob as I am a lesbian and an Ex-JW. I'm glad to see that he was able to come out and become his authentic self sooner than I was able to be. I'm in Southern California too so look me up Rob. I'm Linda James on F/B and I'm ApostaBabe Linda James here on RUclips. I'd love to have a conversation with you sometime. You did a great job explaining what it's like to be lgbtq+ growing up within the Jehovah's Witness Culture. Yes! You must have Rob on again. He is such a beautiful soul.
Glad to be here before you totally blow up! You’re so great with these interviews, you seem like a genuine person and everything looks very professional!
I'm soo blessed to be a gay woman that has a mother that totally accepts me. All of My Family& friends love and accept me for me Gay & Full of tattoos. I'm soo happy and lucky to be able to live my true self. I have a daughter who just recently came out to me. I was soo happy that she came to me before anyone else. I love the fact that she comes to me when she has questions. She knows just like my Mother i will always love her Unconditionally & Without Judgement🌈HAPPY PRIDE MONTH. 🗣"BE WHO YOU ARE"🏳️🌈🤞🏼🙏🏽❤️..

My mom had a friend who was a JW ( she-my mom helped her elope w/her boyfriend as her mom didn't approve of him) Nancy was a lovely person & was even my babysitter when I was v. little. However, she started pressuring my mom to attend services at Kingdom Hall( the big JW church in The Valley) & when my mom didn't want to , Nancy stopped calling her. They made up a few years later after she had a kid but the friendship wasn't never the same after that.( P. S Way to go Matt on your new channel!👍)
I love both of you! If you need a 72 year old straight mom. Stepmother, step grandma, step great grandmother I'm the one! You both are wonderful men. Blessings. I had a great aunt who was a Jenova Witness until she needed an operation . . . .
They can forget Pedophilia between their members and still talk to the abusers but not to a gay son this is disgusting 🤮.. that’s one one of reason why I left the cult because I hated it the they where moms that didn’t talk to their own kids this is not Christian no matter what your kids are they still yours they never ask to be born
I watch these and always baffled by other people’s experiences. Bc I grew up a JW, was never told I couldn’t associate with other children. We never paid for the Watchtower and our donation box was in the back of the Kingdom Hall, never was pressured into donating money like other religions. I’m not a practicing JW today, yes it is strict but I prefer my own personal relationship with God. Because it’s the most authentic to me. I hate that families chose to turn their backs on their family members bc they choose not to practice. But I think that’s more on the family member’s decision. I don’t think it’s a cult, all religions have the ideology of doing what is right by the Bible and wanting to surround yourself with people of practicing faith. I would also like to add that you’re allowed to say “bless you” just not anything with God’s name in front of it.
Gosh, it makes me really sad that he doesn’t have a relationship with his family. You can tell it makes him a little sad, naturally. I pray 🙏🏼 his family comes to the realization what’s most important their SON, not that religion. I’m a non-denominational Christian and I definitely do not think Jesus wants us to shun or turn our back on Anyone for any reason……For me, Only God is our Judge…..Thank you for sharing this interview, Rob is such a nice fellow………🙏🏼❤️
As a non-active member of Jehovah’s Witness religion I think he expressed his experience and views as respectfully as possible. It is a well intentioned religion that does try to live their life according to their faith. It’s not perfect but they mean well. I remember I had a crush on this witness boy who later turned out to be gay and was shunned. I hope he’s happy.
There has not been such a greater enemy to the LGBTQ community than religion. I would rather be without religion than to be bound by then, or in turn to be persecuted and condemned by them. Just go into any gay/trans issue video on RUclips and you will see immense contradiction, slander, and evil from religious people left and right. We really need to stay strong and be like the X-Men to survive.
It is quite amazing about the Jehovah witness. I do have a niece that in the religion I just feel that if you’re not in the religion, they don’t associate with you, even though you married to the family and my family except my nieces husband but it’s so hard that no matter what if you are straight bisexual trans a parent should love their children in my opinion Turns.
“The society” a.k.a. The governing body, has changed it’s opinion on getting a college education. The contribution box dried up and they felt the pinch so they’ve “re-adjusted their position” saying “we don’t know how long this old system of things is going to last, you have to provide for yourself, your family and the society, go out and get an education but don’t listen to the snares set for you at university and bring home your paycheck to the society”.
Ex member here. They say Jehovah maintains his organization. For many years that's been the case. But if the organization cannot sustain itself anymore. Jehovah is with drawing. As he did with the Israelites.
I understand him a lot I have the same problem my mom dead and she never accepted my homosexuality and my family never talk to me I’m alone and it’s so hard when your family never talk to you I have depression for more that 20 years I don’t have friends
Proselytizing is one the worst thing one person can do to another. Convincing folks to believe in a death cult is outrageously sinful.. how one person can think that t living a life of fear and dread is something you would want to see another is beyond my comprehension.
It’s so ironic that it’s kinda such a pessimistic religion but for the longest time they’d also frown on menta illness and stuff like that (I also grew up a jehovahs witness)
my best friend is Jehovah’s witness and when he got married half the wedding party wasn’t allowed to enter the church because we weren’t of that faith.
Omg I LOVE HER!!! Girl I know how you feel. It feels empty and worthlessness, you are so beautiful and have such a gorgeous light about you. I wish I was there to be your BEST FRIEND!! Your so awesome and amazing! Don't let anyone tell u any different! Muah xoxo 😚 💋
It also really varies from country to country. The Jehovah Witnesses in Germany are not that super strict. I mean we were allowed to have any friends we wanted. We were not prohibited to have friends outside of the religion. When I made the decision to leave at age 18, the elders tried to talk to me only twice, but after I told them I made my decision they did not bother me anymore. Also I still have friends to this day that are still part of the religion. I also have seen that they have soften up to gay people and actively preach not to judge gay people anymore. Something more religions should preach to their followers. But like I said I speak here for the Jehovah Witnesses from Germany. I see in the US many are much stricter and especially the latin JW are super strict. in Germany what you stated you are not allowed to do were more like guidelines, but you were not getting in trouble if you decided to celebrate your birthday. The only thing you got kicked out for was having sex with someone outside of wedlock.
I can,f believe that, some J.W.s are allowed to have friends that are not J.W.,s and go to parties,I was in the religion from the 80's untill about 2006 and these things were forbidden, they must be changing the rules in order to keep people in the religion.
I had no idea about Michael Jackson and prince! My husband was raised Jehovah witness and so I waited to play this when he was in the room… the true or false questions he was answering right along with you! It’s very interesting to hear it from another view though. He called it “secular” when talking about having friends and stuff. They all had to be that. But whatever floats their boats. I wish them happiness! So glad you found happiness either way!❤
the Unseen World The psalmist declared that God presides over an assembly of divine beings (Psa. 82:1). Who are they? What does it mean when those beings participate in God’s decisions (1 Kings 22:19-23)? Why wasn’t Eve surprised when the serpent spoke to her? Why are Yahweh and his Angel fused together in Jacob’s prayer (Gen. 48:15-16)? How did descendants of the Nephilim (Gen. 6:4) survive the flood (Num. 13:33)? What are we to make of Peter and Jude’s belief in imprisoned spirits (2 Pet. 2:4; Jude 6)? Why does Paul describe evil spirits in terms of geographical rulership (thrones, principalities, rulers, authorities)? Who are the “glorious ones” that even angels dare not rebuke (2 Pet. 2:10-11)?
Whew I enjoyed this channel until this . As a Jehovah’s Witness it’s saddens me to hear this smh , not all witnesses are like y’all families . We are able to work, go to college , parties and everything else . Not this cult like mess y’all family pushed on y’all. It’s ridiculous!
Yes you can have friends that aren’t JW. A lot of the things presented aren’t facts but feelings. I think people need to look into the experience before judging. Also the belief systems are based on biblical findings. All can be traced back to the Bible.
I grew up in the JWs, and it is definitely a cult. You can tell a lot about a religion from which words are used the most. The two words that still ring in my ears when thinking about my upbringing, are "Jehovah" and "Armageddon". The name "Jesus Christ" is much further down the list. It´s just Jehovah and Armageddon, to such an extent that the two words, in the mind of a child, becomes synonymous. The only "god" a JW-child meets and knows, is the one that on the day of judgment will let burning rocks fall from the sky, the "god" that will kill all your friends at school. It´s horrible. A more proper name for this cult would be "The Armageddonites", or something like that. Congrats for getting out, Rob.
I also have a friend who is over 42 years of age, who is still single, who claims to be a virgin and is a JW. Do you think he might be hurting like you are, gay and in the closet? My cousin is also 35 and has never had a girlfriend either, and a JW, do you think he may also be gay?
Mattew 24:14 breakdown, they're Jesus words, only a worldwide organization could do this, there will be a worldwide preaching campaign, the message is about a coming kingdom, and after it the end comes. Also at Matthew 5:44 Jesus said love your enemies so they can't kill them in war. There's only one group that fits Jesus description unless you want to call him a liar.

I was disfellowshipped in 2005. . Very happy to find this end time prophecy: . Isaiah 66:5 Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: “YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame.” . [Name of person] is no longer one of JEHOVAH's Witnesses ---->> excluding YOU by reason of MY NAME . He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part! . We are in the best place that any Christian could hope to be during the time of the end. . What Jehovah said would happen, is really happening! . This is why I do not think it is a cult. . .

Rob, you're such a loving person. Your parents and sister are missing out on you and I feel sorry for them because you're such a beautiful person.
The vibe between the two of you was amazing!! The question part was truly awesome!
I also grew up in the Jehovahs Witness religion, got baptized and everything.. I'm trans and this hit home so hard. Thank you for sharing!!
This is fake cult...just leave it and enjoy your life. Jws is just like Islam...
So did I, but never made it to being baptized. I am sorry for such a wretched and degrading religious experience.
WE LOOOOVE YOU SIS❤❤❤
💖💖
I'm single and I never had children, but I would have been proud to have either of these young men as a son.
“I heard youre gay,im sorry” ???
Who says that😂😂
it sounds like a really bad hallmark card i just cant💀💀
@ 5:00 on when they talk about coming out to friends and family , my therapist had the best way of me explaining “coming out” to someone that might be taking the news harder with more ignorance than others, she said, you can let them know,
“ I am still the same person, friend, family member, co-worker, etc etc etc…you just know more about me now and who I’ve always been”
Anywho, I hope that helps someone else out who is reading these comments looking for some advice on dealing with others reacting to you being LGBTQIA+
And I paid $150 per hour for that therapy session, so I am giving it out on here for free, you’re welcome…..lol
Please continue! You are so honest in your conversation!
Thank you!!! I’m putting out new episodes every week :) I’m glad you enjoyed it ❤️
thank you for posting this interview 😭 i left two years ago and it’s comforting to know there are other ex jws who are happy ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
I was born in and can relate so much . Thank you both so much for sharing this story . Big hugs 🤗
Thank you for watching :)
my dads side of my family are Jehovas Witness, and before I was born my aunt passed away because she needed a blood transfusion and wasn't able to have one because of her religion. It breaks my heart to think about.. that my grandparents had to lose their child because of a strict rule in a religion.. it has never made sense to me.
Luv this interview!
Wonderful interview! Thanks for sharing your experience Rob ❤️

I love you too. I’m glad you found it inspiring Erin! ❤️
That’s was so nice to watch. Real and nuanced. It’s a very particular upbringing and it’s hard to explain it to others - and I don’t bring it up usually. Thank you ❤
I just found my new favorite show...I already can't wait for the next episode! You're both so inspiring!!

Wow! Thank you Rob for sharing what you've been through. Very inspiring!
Omg!!!! Typed my response b4 " True n false"...so in love...Christmas is my fav 2 as a blood line witness...

Jehovah Witnesses do not do arranges marriages.
Thank you for sharing, telling these stories are so important. It's like you're in my brain! Makes me feel a bit less crazy 🤣
Thank you for watching Jessica 💕
@19:27.....I WANT Rob back!!!!!...but do a live podcast!
Thank you for watching, and I hope you and Rob can connect sometime soon ❤️
Glad you left JW it is similar to Islam.

Hi...I am binge watching. You are so very talented. And your interviewees are so interesting.
Keep making vids!
Thank you
My mom had a friend who was a JW ( she-my mom helped her elope w/her boyfriend as her mom didn't approve of him) Nancy was a lovely person & was even my babysitter when I was v.
Wow, that is super interesting… thank you Robyn for sharing your story and for watching!
I love both of you! If you need a 72 year old straight mom. Stepmother, step grandma, step great grandmother I'm the one! You both are wonderful men. Blessings.
I had a great aunt who was a Jenova Witness until she needed an operation . . . .
Great interview.
Thank you so much ❤️
Thank you for this, I had to deal with it also and it still hunts me.
It's been a year. I hope Rob is thriving.
He's so funny, cute and has a great smile. 😉😊
But yet y’all still look the other way while priest molest lil pastor boys lmao oh plz
Pedophilia is not welcomed , your confused with catholics
9:28 - 10:24.. LIFE CHANGING words right there.
Yes with the realness..he is amazing and speaks in the truth that made him live in his truth!!!!! @18.42 (with the response)
It's so hard to leave. Still difficult to discuss due to fear. Be spiritual, don't just follow any man's interpretation of the Bible.
& all the animals rejoiced😂
Amazing
It’s so ironic that it’s kinda such a pessimistic religion but for the longest time they’d also frown on menta illness and stuff like that (I also grew up a jehovahs witness)
Great video🤍
my best friend is Jehovah’s witness and when he got married half the wedding party wasn’t allowed to enter the church because we weren’t of that faith.
Never heard of that . My Sister got married and literally any and everyone invited was able to come
I was born into the JW. I was constantly terrified of life.
He's such a sweetheart
I'm ace. I left since I'm just atheist
New follower.
By the way, ya'll are both very gorgeous!!!!
Thank you!!!! Appreciate that 🥰
Thank you! 😍
The only thing you got kicked out for was having sex with someone outside of wedlock.
its a cult dude
❤❤❤
😢🙏🏼❤
You can tell he’s hurt about his mom!
So glad you found happiness either way!❤
the Unseen World
The psalmist declared that God presides over an assembly of divine beings (Psa. 2:10-11)?
THIS is so interesting!!! Have anymore?
Whew I enjoyed this channel until this . As a Jehovah’s Witness it’s saddens me to hear this smh , not all witnesses are like y’all families . We are able to work, go to college , parties and everything else . Not this cult like mess y’all family pushed on y’all. It’s ridiculous!
My sister is super Christian and she says yoga is idol worship and holding your body in positions that don’t worship God. She’s a freak.
What a great guy. I lost my best friend to Jehovah. It made her so sad/different as a kid. Anyway any updates?

D Jones, Your welcome. 🙂
D Jones : Me, i'm glad I left this fundamentalist cult, I would no longer need to explain the absurd “dual generation” that is increasingly becoming a stumbling block for honest JWs.

Very happy to find this end time prophecy:
.
Isaiah 66:5
Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: “YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame.”
.
[Name of person] is no longer one of JEHOVAH's Witnesses ---->> excluding YOU by reason of MY NAME
.
He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part!
.
We are in the best place that any Christian could hope to be during the time of the end.
.
What Jehovah said would happen, is really happening!

This is why I do not think it is a cult.

The Governing Body really are the rulers of God's people during the final part of the days:

Isaiah 28:14-15
.So hear the word of Jehovah, you boasters, You ** RULERS OF THIS PEOPLE ** in Jerusalem, For you men say: “We have made a covenant with Death, And with the Grave we have made an agreement. When the raging flash flood passes through, It will not reach us, For WE HAVE MADE A LIE our refuge And we have hidden ourselves in falsehood.”

"We have made a covenant with Death"
