    I just bought a TSR1 this week. It is definitely not draw biased in A1. It goes long and straight for me. You need to demo it to see for yourself.

    It’s going left due to SWeight and total head weight. I bet it’s c6-c9 with that shaft in it. Light head will accentuate the left miss. If you check it and swap out a heavier weight you will have a more fair comparison. It’s weighted for a 40gram shaft. Just some observations

    Thanks for the review, I was able to take one for 18 holes, and now own this club. It was down to your thoroughness of whacking it all over the place that made me want to try it, I’m so glad I did. Keep up the good work!

    I'm 73, recently purchased used, TSi1 10, Stiff, did some adjusting (it has 16 different settings), I like the look at address to be slightly open. Picked up 12-15 yards over my old driver (Ping 425) and more consistent. Then I saw another video with an older gentleman hitting (some driver) adjusted to about 13.5 degrees and hitting about 250. So I found a left over, new, TSi1 12, this time Regular flex which is R, they have R2 which is senior flex, and have picked up another 12-15 yards over the 10. Consistently hitting 230-235 and have hit one 250 and another 244 (on course), have only had it about 2 weeks. Really nice after hitting mostly 195-210.

      Spoiler alert ⚠ I struggled to start with directly after hitting TSR1 but once I got in the groove with it......... 😉👌

    Interesting comparison comparing this one (TSR1) with TSR2 and TSR3 in later videos. Using the same loft and shaft across all the tests is meaningful, especially for comparing TSR2 and TSR3. What isn't covered, is how to test the claim that TSR1 helps slower speed players increase their club speed and hence increase their carry distance. Typically that type of player won't have such a low loft and will also select a lighter version of the shaft with the expectation that the club helps them swing faster. The draw that is seen may actually also help these players if they have a tendency to slice. The Titleist shaft can be adjusted for lie and loft but this also has the effect of changing the face angle according to the chart, so this might go some way to explain the slight draw.

    Thanks for the video! This club is designed for golfers with a moderate swing (less than 85 mph) yet you are hitting it with 109 mph club speed! How is this a fair demonstration of this clubs ability?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  11 месяцев назад

      Hi Stephen, thanks for the comment. You are correct in that the TSR1 has been designed for moderate swing speeds (Medium or Average) and that would be circa 85mph. Really the only thing that makes this the case is that the TSR1 has had every bit of weight taken off the setup to try and encourage as much extra swing speed as possible. It also comes in a 12 degree option which no other model does. This would generally be used by the very low swing speed golfer, below moderate. Yet it still does come in a 9 degree iron with the ability to still reduce loft through the adapter. In reality this driver is for someone looking to technology to help increase club head speed and or help launching the ball with the option of the 12 degree head.
      For me to test and compare directly against the TSR2 and TSR3 of which I've also tested, I've kept apples for apples testing as best as I possibly can.
      In reality, any review is there more to introduce the viewer to an equipment possibility and to inform them of the potential uses and gains of a certain model over another. I generally take it a step further by testing a clubs forgiveness levels for the player looking for stability as an important buying decision.
      Unfortunately I have multiple requests for testing at all different club head speed to suit all golfers and again in reality this is much more down to the individual custom fitting aspect of the golfer than the review.
      Thanks very much for the comment and for watching 👍🏻

      @@AskGolfNut Thanks for taking the time for your detailed reply! It is obvious to any curious person that golf is still an antiquated, illogical game in so many ways! For example - what are the lofts of the various clubs? The answer is that it is not the same for all manufacturers! Yet it is purely a matter of physics! If a golf ball is struck at a speed of 100 mph with a club that has a loft of 35 degrees, ot will ALWAYS travel the same distance assuming that all other factors are equal! So the loft of a club is always the determining factor in how far a golf ball will travel in the air! Yet the golf industry insists on reffering to their clubs in imprecise terms that do not relate to the real world? Is not golf hard enough without complicating it with irrelevant problems? Cheers!

    Great review, first time ive come across yourslf, and will follow in future.
    i get ball speeds of around 135/140 at 56 years young. I suffer with a slice, the tsr 1 looks like a good fit, but not sure if i should get a reg ar stiff shaft. also what would putting in a heavier weight do to the characteristics of this club head. cheers.

    I max out around 160-163 mph ball speed with drives that are 260-270.. These drivers they say are designed for lower swing speeds in mind. Is this a good option for someone like myself who has a faster swing speed but want max forgiveness?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  Год назад +1

      Within the Titleist bracket yes for sure. It will be the spinniest option also so forgiveness will come at a cost in distance. I'd possibly also test the 2 as that may well give a very good balance between the right amount of strike help forgiveness and managing speed related spin 👍
      160 - 163 mph is a bloomin good number 👍

    Hi Jay so excited to see you reviewing the TSR1 Driver 👍bought mine this Feb. Had 2 Driver fittings 1st fitting set base figures with existing Rogue 10.5 Driver, then tested Para/dym, Ping Max, T/M Stealth 2, the fitter suggested I try the TSR1 from the first Drive I loved it 👍, 2nd fitting found 12deg was perfect for me 👍,what was also great could see the data on Foresight monitor & could understand the different figures on screen & took photos of the info on my iPhone so I could refer to it at home later👍, got extra club & ball speed & 15yds extra Carry & Total yds👌, (now going to watch your Video) my club head speed was 81mph Thanks Dickey 9hcp 76year senior golfer

    You speed is too fast for this club. It's made for swings between 70-90.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  23 дня назад

      That is true, but compared to the other two it's the highest spin profile and most draw biased off all. The too higher spin profile will reduce with speed obviously so will fit the slower swinger, the other two with a lower spin profile may well also fit a slower swinger but they will most probably have to manage spin by using loft. The TSR1 allows for using the right loft at a slower speed with an increased spin profile to suit those types of golfers..
      Sorry its my fault, I thought I made this fairly clear in the video... My fault that I didn't explain it well enough for all to understand 👍🏻👍🏻

    102 MPH swing speed - isn’t this for slower swingers - why show this ?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  6 месяцев назад

      No necessarily, its the most forgiving one and so will be used by golfers that need the most forgiveness within the Titliest Driver range. Golfers swing at a range of speeds and so I tried to swing a little slower than usual to become a touch more relevant rather than swinging up at over 110mph which is much more like my other youtube colleagues. 👍

    Hi Jay just watched your video twice & loved it👍, great review 👌as expected, my thoughts on the TSR1 Driver “love its Performance” my spec is in the standard light weight build, with the speedmesh 40gram shaft & light weight grip in 12deg head, this allows me to get an extra 4mph club head speed over my Rogue Max D giving me extra distance😁, I don’t think it’s has a lot of draw bias compared to the Rogue, flight is high & straight with a little Draw (not the low spin draws) which was my miss with the Rogue, Tried the Ping Max HL didn’t work for me with the 5gram head weight just couldn’t get consistent results preferred the std Max, Think the Titleist TSR1 Head head design being 8grams lighter than the the std TSR Heads in 2,3 &4s allows them to place the std 9 gram head weight in the correct place in the TSR1, would like to hear your views Jay, Thanks for Full review, love the miss hit data👌, Dickey 9hcp 76year senior golfer

      Hi Dickie, thanks as always for the great comments, would be brilliant to have you on the Live Streams every monday evening (uk time) as your input is always insightful.
      Personally my issue with the Ping HL is that its basically a stripped down MAX head, which impacts on forgiveness too much in my opinion and then by reducing the back weight to remove mass from the head to make it lighter, it compromises the launch characteristics. Good club still, just i think when they have had a rethink of its design the G435 HL will probably beat them all 👍
