hilariously i'm a 9 handicap, and got fit into the TSR4, its been the best experience that i've had with a driver so far. 120-125 swing speed 9* D3 setting on the hosel. even on a bad day my misses are not horrible.
I’m 40 years old 6’ 1” not in great shape and my swing speed is still 110mph not swinging out of my shoes , so 125 sounds right to me. People just want to hate on ya….
This line has proven to me that you HAVE to get your driver fitted. I went into my fitting thinking I was going to need to get the 3 or 4 and the fitter told me “this probably won work but some people are having more success lowering the spin with the 2” and he threw a heavier weight in the 2 and it spun 400 revs lower than the 3 and 4 did for me. It’s crazy how something that in theory shouldn’t work out may actually fit you best
New viewer. Love the content, great video all around! I play the TSR4 and have been loving it all season. New subscriber at the end of the video! P.S. love seeing a Canadian content creator. Good representation!
I'm gaming a TSi4 and really want to try the TSR4. I've upgraded my Tsi3 fairways to Tsr3's and they feel great. I can't imagine the Tsr4 feeling 'Harder' than the Tsi4...which doesn't feel hard to me at all. I've traditionally had high spin on ALL DRIVERS...I have or had every Sub Zero, Triple Diamond, Max LS, TR3, Tsi3, Sim2, Sim Tour Issue, and the Tsi4 has been the funnest to hit and with great results. I'll have to go hit a Tsr4 and test it for myself. I guess i'm in that 4%. I've always swung a 3 wood better than driver so the smaller club head size of the Tsi4 makes it like a large 3 wood.
This is why we all play different clubs. I'm a 6 handicap, solid ball striker with a tendency to get lazy and slice a drive or 3 a round. My tsr4 with the weight -3 in front and +4 in back has fixed everything. 275-290 constantly with range balls.
I just picked up a TSR4 today with extra stiff shaft. My swing speed is 96 mph and I gained 12 yards and straighter shots than my TSi2 with regular shaft
Also in Calgary bud. I have the chance to land a TSR3 to replace the (meh) Paradym which I've been using for the last 2 years. I can't wait to get my hands on the new TSR3 and get that puppy to the mountains at Kananaskis and Silvertip next year. Great vid, two thumbs UP~!!
This was a good review of Titleist TSR line. I'd like to think I could play the TSR3 in 10 degree head, but likely a TSR2 player. I prefer to higher lofts and higher ball flights for my game.
that heavy weight feeling is exactly what i felt when i got fitted. fitter watched my initial swings and thought i wanted a out to in cut..so he gave me a XS (HZRDS 6.5 70) and i told him it was too heavy and kept asking if it was the head before finally asking to go lighter so he literally just went to a 6.5 60 and all of a sudden 250 trash fade...to 290 draw rolling out to 315 on draw bias setting with the TSR3. #Magic
Great video Brandon. It would be cool to see an episode where you make a few tweaks to your TSR3 to dial it in to see if it can really beat your Cobra!
I’m not a good golfer at all - around a 9ish handicap. Got fitted a few days ago into the TSR4 with graphite design shaft and was hitting the ball super well. I’m not a consistent ball striker in the least , but for whatever reason that set up fixed my slice and got my dispersion very tight. I’m probably 1 in a million though and definitely not the norm based off of your data.
Hey me too! I didn't expect to get fit in to it but stayed objective and brand agnostic going in to it and it was the best for me by a margin that would be difficult to argue. One thing I think helps the case with the TSr4 is that it has the same face type as the TSr2, where the TSr3 is a bit less forgiving. I think that accounts for some sneaky forgiveness along side the low spin.
Great video! I was surprised to see the launch angle being lower with the TSR2. I tried both TSR2 and TSR3 for a few weeks thanks to Roger Dunn's return policy and realized the TSR2 was just too high launching and spinny. By the way, I also have the HZDUS Black but in a 6.0 and I feel it might be one of the best stock options I've ever played with.
Hey thanks! Ya I dunno why it was like that for me. TSR2 is supposed to launch higher. Glad you were able to exchange it. Ya the new Hzrdus black is a great shaft. Hit some bombs out there. 👊
thanks for great video, have the tsr2 , but would like to try changing the weight, can you recommend anywhere to get the weight kit please? not available here in Ireland, thanks again
Loved this video. Brandon - does elevation in Calgary give you any real advantage in Trackman distance? Your driver swing is inspirational - especially the rapid fire back to back shots!
Really appreciate it 👊🏻 We have the trackman set to Calgary elevation so it is the same as the regular conditions I play in. In theory, my settings would be advantages to someone who regularly plays at sea level.
Can we see some more fairway wood content? Something’s I would like to see: •Comparison between TSR3, Stealth 2? •Highlight the effect of moving weights •we have similar speeds, so seeing comparisons between 13.5, 15, 16.5 & 18 degrees of loft.
Got fitted today and landed on the TSR2. I compared them with every other brand driver out and the Titleist FEEL is second to none. By the way, where do I buy the weights that go in the back of the TSR2? It the different weights didn't come with the club.
I'd love to see a head to head between a TSR4 or GT4 playing at 44 3/4 vs the mini driver from TM and Callaway. 10 degree head on GT4 and turn the loft down a notch.
Hey awesome video ! When your testing drivers put attack angle and dynamic loft in the numbers. Very important statistics. There’s also an area for direct comparison instead of using the group tab on the left side
Thanks! Ya ill play with the comparison modes. My attack angle is pretty consistent around 1-2.5. I could def attack angle and dynamic loft, id want to take out couple other stats. Too much data clutters and makes it harder for everyone to follow. What do you suggest is less important? I think those numbers are more relevant in fitting session but open to suggestions.
Looking forward to hitting the TSR3 this year for sure! The TSi3 spun a little too much for me. Maybe I missed the shaft but which stock shaft was it? Thanks
Hey Sean, thanks for watching. I actually don't know but let me find out for you. That's last year's staff bag. Ya good looking bag. This year mid staff bag is pretty nice too. Check it out.
@@NewNineGolf for me, larger heads give me comfort. So the shallower & larger heads works better for me. Larger heads has to be shallower since the overall volume is fixed at 460 right??
Nice videos. You are well spoken, the editing is right and you are a fellow Canadian! I’m no pro fitter so take my question with a grain of salt. Looking at your dispersion if you delete just one more bad one from the TSR2 that dispersion actually looks much better than the TSR3. The short left one looks like a low toe strike / closed face that was very spinny and hooked. To me that swing is an anomaly and you put that swing on any club and the result will be bad. You probably can’t go back and adjust the data but I feel like it would change the average spin and carry for the tsr2. Based on that fairway (and most 30y tree lined fairways) you were hitting at you were in way better position with most of the TSR2, and no lost balls in the water. So the question is do you think left to right dispersion is more important than dispersion front to back when it comes to your driver? For me when I look at my data with driver I put more importance on do I have a clear shot at the green. What are your thoughts?
The dispersion I’m really looking at is the tightness of the oval and not necessarily the shots closest to the line. The fairway on this trackman is actually very narrow. I believe it’s only 30 yards wide. So on a driving range or hole with a wider fairway they results would actually look better. In theory I could keep deleting shots with the TSR2 to make it look more appealing and closer to the TSR3, but to stay consistent with my reviews and try to appease the majority of my subscribership, this way seemed to work best……for now.
@@NewNineGolf unfortunately for me my home course is tight. 30y wide fairways and trees on both sides. I’ve been trained to think solely of doing my best to keep as many drives as I can away from the trees. It’s almost always a punch out. Thanks for the response. Great channel.
Wait till you can release the g430 lst video ( or wait till you hit it , if You already haven’t) goodbye TsR as nothing compares to this new ping TsR range all spin way to much
Really enjoy your videos; a lot of fun and well designed. I’m kind of surprised you have such a pronounced two-way miss with driver for being such a low handicap. 2 questions. Are you going to switch to the TSR3? And how would you compare the Ventus Black to the DJ Shaft?
It’s a toss up with the TSR3. I love it! It will be in the rotation. For me, the DJ shaft had slightly better dispersion.

Modern golf. It's part of the fitting kit Titleist sends out.

that because 3and 4 farther, not as far as better for every hole i think😊
The TSR looks good, but the gloss head throws me off. If they made a black matte driver head, it would look like a beast as well as play like beast.
Agreed! I like the matte look too. I guess can't argue with the classic Titleist looks tho. Works for them.
I dont like matte black club heads at all.
my swing speed between 100-110,and my handicap is 13,which one should I use,is tsr4 has more forgiveness than 3?
TSR4 is the least forgiving. The 2 is likely best. Maybe the 3.

Haha. The TSR2 is pretty forgiving. Go get fitted by someone good. It's helped me a tonne.
