In this video we take Meg, a first year PGA Assistant, through a full driver custom fitting.
Currently gaming the Taylormade Stealth 2 HD, she struggles with the odd left miss, but mainly a lack of distance.
So one of the big goals of the day was to try and gain Meg some yards!
So we set about testing multilple heads, such as the Titleist TSR2, Cobra AeroJet, Taylormade Stealth 2 and Titleist TSR3, along with a large variety of shafts!
Which driver combo do you think we will end up with??

an excelent fitting and showing the benefits of a exceptional fitter who could have stopped at their first setup but continued with various options until the Client got that absoulte best results out of their swing.
Thanks Geraint! The 100k man himself 🙌🙌
Great video! I would have never thought you would have fit her into a TSR3. Just shows you how important a good fitting is. Well done!
This was a great fitting, crazy how central and consistent her strike ended up. If I hit one a round that centered I'd be happy.
Me too Erik 😂😂
Great fitting session. Meg's has such great tempo...beautiful golf swing.
Thanks Brian 🙌👍
Great when you can see a fitting with more average swing speeds. Surely appeals to many more golfers. Always amazed by the results you are achieving. Surprised ping are hard to work with, would be good to see you with their products as options
Excellent point!!!! So many of the golf channels get this wrong- demonstrations by great golfers are of virtually no use to the rest of us! Show us your technique working on a weekend warrior and THAT will get our attention! I'm so glad you said that! lol. Now I know I'm not the only one who feels that way!
Thanks Golfishard! Appreciate that 👍 and yes we have been having some communication with them recently but honestly even getting a response is like getting blood from a stone! Not even sure we want to work with them at this point 😂
@@canuck_gamer3359 i think Golfishard was more referencing swing speed rather than ability
Both! Slower swing speeds must be the most common. Realistically, ability to deliver consistent strike just isn’t there among amateurs.
This is also where it would be nice to see ping equipment given it’s known to be more forgiving.
I would be interested in a fit if ping was an option in the line up, especially driver hybrid fw.
After watching this I think it will be a visit for me to get fitted for a new driver. Fantastic work.
Thanks Les look forward to it 👍
Finally a great video with someone with an average 90 so swing speed ..that the average golfer swing speed
We've done a couple 😉 more will be coming 🙌
Such a great, efficient swing!
Her swing is so good I was shocked when her first few balls flew only 180 yards. Glad you got her out over 210 carry now. That TSR is miles better than what she was gaming.
Love the thorough testing!!!
Real interesting session especially as my own swing speed relates to Meg's. Great to have those numbers displayed too so we see exactly what's going on.
Love to watch a fitting and learn something. Definitely did here. Thanks for posting this!
Wow great video..this probably the best fitting/product demonstration I’ve seen on you tube..Meg’s swing with your fitting experience really highlighted the nuances of the club manufacturer. Bravo and keep these coming.
Great vlog, good to see you push the boundaries and not take first results, liking the technical side to fitting
Thanks Roger 🙌👍
I think this is amazing to show what a proper fitting can do for your game. Also its crazy to know someone with a 90mph swing speed and someone with a 111mph swing speed can use the same driver head. Great video well done.
Thanks Pikepuncher 🙌🙌
Great fit great Swing
Great job! Great swing and that smile at the end😊 Merry Christmas!
Thanks Darth! Merry Christmas to you too!
Great fitting! So interesting, especially with that swing speed bracket. 😃
Thanks 🙏🙏
Excellent fitting. Her swing speed makes it especially useful for me, even though I am a 5 foot 11 inch 218 pound male. That may sound odd, but I am also 82 years old so my swing speed is about the same or just a bit lower than hers. With a 10.5 degree head and 54 degree R flex shaft, and being a little bit off my best form as a result of some age related degeneration of my right knee meniscus, I’m getting 118 - 124 ball speed and 190 - 205 carry. So your results with Meg make me think hey, just possibly I might get a similar improvement with your expert and creative approach. Thanks for this.
Great video, 90 mph swing speed is also my swing speed, although not with that level of accuracy lol. Pity there aren’t more fitters around like you. Most just push you into what’s on the shelf. Best video yet!
Thanks chillyerbeans!! Appreciate the comment 🙌🙌👍
Thats the exact driver setup i got fitted for.Love the tsr2 and the hazardous CB shaft.
Think we went with the 3 in the end but they are both amazing heads and I love that shaft! 👌
You can tell she is good player, the first hit with each new setup she lost right , but was always good enough to adjust and bring it back to centre fairway
Really like the fittings you do because the average golfer can relate to your clients. Well done and keep up the good work.
Cheers ric 👊
Love watching ur videos
Thanks 👍👍
Great fitting, Ross! Meg has unbelievable consistency in path. I don't think she was more than a degree and a half away from zero the whole fitting!
Thanks Daniel 🙌 and yeah she's awesome
Nice fitting, she strikes it well.i found it interesting as I’m a 70+ yo with a similar swing speed. I bet she can play!
Well done Ross!! Meg was subdued in her final reaction but I bet she was chomping-at-the-bit (!) to get out with the boys!!!
Absolutely!! 🙌🙌🙌
Great fitting video wish I had some fitters with your skill set around me
Thanks thebooze! Where abouts are you?
Great swing Meg.
I've been playing Just over 6 months and this is about how well I hit driver with slightly less consistency as I'm still trying to turn my fade into a draw.( it was a slice but I managed to cure that with a few setup tweaks) I currently play an old Mizuno MP630 fast track 10.5 mainly as I've only just started and it was about £35 off eBay.
I just bought a Taylormade Jetspeed 10.5 as, my 3 wood is already a Jetspeed 17HL and I can hit that as far as my Mizuno driver and I quite like how it feels.. Shockingly (or not if you know about these things) It made no difference. I feels different to the Mizuno but gave me similar numbers at the range.( I actually like the Mizuno and prefer the feel over the Jet speed although the Jetspeed feels a bit heavier I feel I swing slower but the ball goes the same)
I would love a fitting but don't think my game warrants it just yet as £600+ for a driver is about 3x what I spent on my Callaway X12 irons RBZ 5wood Jetspeed 3hl and Driver and my Mizuno and a bag, shoes brolly (you get the idea) For all I know I could be playing totally unsuitable clubs but I can't see a club fitter having a session unless my intention was to buy something from them?
Although I might be tempted to take the weight out of the Jet speed and give that a go.
Hi there, just watched this fitting and was very impressed with your approach to the entire process. I'm a senior with very much the same numbers as your clients. Could you please recap for me the final set-up ? I'll be going for a fitting myself in early 2024.
Thanks and great video's. 👍
I'm so glad to see this. It goes to show that the TSR3 being for more higher swing speed players is a myth.
1000000% 🙌
Great fitting, wish you were closer, hopefully get down one day
Absolutely Ian, everyone is welcome down 🙌 we've had people come a very long way (South Africa!) And no one has been disappointed yet 😉👍👍
Great fitting video, as always. Wish I could find a fitter like you over here in Canada.
TXG boys? 😂👍
TXG has combined with Club Champion...I traveled the 90 miles from Buffalo to Toronto to see Ian Fraser in Toronto just a week b4 covid shut everything down, what you see on camera is who you get in person, a class act all the way and no pressure to buy. I know they opened in Calgary recently
Similar swing speed to me but extra 30 yards + !! I so need a fitting ❤
Thanks. I’ll be watching. Interesting how lie seems to impact driver performance. I’m short 5’8” and have my lie on Ping 430 flat. Going to try upright. Also have auto flex shaft…May look for options.
Have you done any work with senior golfers with swing speed at 80-82 mph? Would like to see them.
I have done lots yes. Unfortunately none on camera yet though. We will try and get players of all speeds and abilities on for sure
This just shows that I definitely need a driver fitting.
Was a great fitting and the Titleist just simed to work
It certainly did! And that's not to say it's necessarily a better drive than all the others. I just find in fittings certain clubs gel better with players. And the Titleist sure did for Meg 🙌
Men amateurs relate to female professionals as the swings speeds are similar, but we could learn lots re accuracy. I like that Meg relies on her swing rather than striving for distance with effort.
You are good at your job, it must make you happy when clients get a good result, i have been to few fittings. Never came away feeling good - so i didn't buy anything, seemed so-so in their approach and very little feedback and explanations,, guess they pump everyone through as fast as possible.
Enjoying the videos Ross and would be helpful to put in the description the final fitting spec. Thanks
Thanks Dale! And yeah that's a great suggestion actually 👍👍
Nice on the eye - and I’m not on about the driver 😅
I'm happy with my TSR2 11 degree (and my misses are always push or pull rather than slice or hook), but....maybe I'll try it without the weight - just for science 😉
Why not! It might surprise you 👀👀😂
Would the higher swing weight/shaft droop and her setting up to the middle of the face be causing all though heel strikes? I was told you should set up with the ball slightly to the toe to hit center
I have a feeling this might become the most watched video.
After watching this I’m more confused in a way - so I’ve been planning on getting a pxg fitting thinking somewhat this may help (generally hit fairways no issue ) but wanted to clear my push fade and feel like my current driver is causing this mostly. But now feel like maybe this sort of multi head fitting maybe better ? Great video, such a great tempo swing
PXG can move the amount of weight in 3 locations in the driver in almost unlimited variations, that's how they can mute your miss tendencies. And if your swing changes its super easy to adapt their driver head because of their weighting system. They have two heads regular and extreme forgiveness. You can definitely be properly fit between the two. I have their Gen 5 head and have tweaked it around with the weights after my swing improved. I just got fitted for a new shaft in the same head and gained 20 yards and only had to change some of the weighting to accommodate the new shaft characteristics. It's great. Plus the same weight style are used in their fairway woods and hybrids. So if you buy the extra weight kit you have endless fine tuning options in all your long clubs. I don't work for pxg just been happy with the product and the tuneability.... Helps to future proof your setup for awhile if anything changes in your swing or you want to change ball flight characteristics. Cheaper than always buying new clubs!
Great fitting and video. I’m not sure some people realise how correctly fitted can have such a positive impact on their game, especially from the ‘mental’ aspects, before you even swing the club. Why do Ping not feature in your range?
Exactly that! Confidence is key! And Ping just won't communicate with us at this point. They are very pro green grass pro shops. And we are not that, so getting an account with them is proving hard
Great video. Didn’t see any comments concerning the counter balanced shaft. How much did this play into the more centered strike? Was this shaft the only CB?
Great watch👍 Do you find in your fitting experience that normally a stock shaft will do the job or do you think there’s much to be gained from aftermarket upgrades such as Ventus Velacore?
Thanks Ian. It really does depend on the standard and speed of the player. But I probably sell 85 to 90% stock shafts I would say. For the vast majority you will see no gain in an aftermarket shaft.
Strange how much better the results were with that Titleist. Some of the other brands with the similar shaft specs should have been a little closer. I would like to know how she got into the original set up. Wasnt hard to see how wrong it was for her even after a couple swings. But looks like she got what worked best in the end. A good fit.
It's funny because she had same original setup I had because I just bought the stealth and not fitted.
@@rayyou7032 In my opinion you don't have to be a fitter to know the original shaft was to much for her swing speed. The fitter says that the shaft has little to do with it but I have seen the opposite. Would have like to have seen that off the shelf shaft in that Titleist.
@pgowan357 I know the fitter knows his stuff but I definitely think the shaft matters alot more than he said but yes the driver heads are probably most important especially when they are $600.That TSR 2 is an awesome head and I had similar results with the hazardous smoke shaft but when I tried the CB it gave me a Lil more.
Great fitting. Very interesting to watch the process.
How much in your experience do the gains depend on the head? If you copied everything about the set up as close as possible on another model would the performance drop off?
The actual launch and spin numbers pretty much all come from the head. So really optimising distance it mostly in the head. However getting a shaft / weight / swingweight combo that allows you to strike the ball as consistently as possibly helps fully utilise the performance that the head offers 👌
So from what I’ve seen in the last two videos I should be getting a tsr of some kind.
You should get fitted! 😂 But yes the Titleist drivers are really good. But it all depends on what gels best with you. Everyone makes good stuff nowadays
Shaft does make a difference in launch and spin.
A small amount yes but not big differences like most would believe
Curious why you didn't try the TSR4 with the weight back setting as opposed to TSR3 with no weight?
Always learning lots from your videos. This video reminded me of a question that's been nagging at me.
After adjusting a driver hosel away from the standard setting, how should one line the club up to keep the hosel adjustment "in use". Callaway and Titleist have a 2 cog system which I believe retains the grip's original orientation so we can grip as per normal and the head should be oriented as adjusted,
but for single cog hosels, I dont know what to do.
Have a cobra 9deg head and turned it up to 10.5 to get some height/spin and close the face, but the grip is now oriented clockwise close to 90deg (not sure how exact).
For each hosel adjustment do we square the face and grip it? Or grip it based on the supposed new orientation of the grip - thus allowing the face to move?
Thanks!
Thanks Bovi, glad we can help 👍 and it's only Callaway that always you to keep the grip in the same orientation. Which is why most manufacturers have a 360 grip on their woods as standard, so when you move it around it doesn't make any difference to grip orientation.
But as for lining up the face square it depends on a lot of things really. Thinking about what you need at impact being one of the biggest things. So if your are adding loft to help close the face through impact and the club sits closed at address, just let it sit closed. For me I personally always just get the right head at the right loft to have the face sitting exactly how i want it to. That's always really the best idea. Just get fitted properly and then everything should align how you want it to and that should compliment the shot you are trying to hit 👌
@@epgolfstudios thanks Ross, would it be correct to say after hosel adjustment just grip with the shaft vertically straight and then set the head down (and let it sit as it lies)?
Sadly where I am (Singapore) the only proper fitting is with Titleist and all brands are run by whoever is the distributor-slash retailer (which in my own and others experience is a self fit at best but really a sales fit). There is no independent fitter here who has access to the major brands. golftec here has titleist mizuno and 1 other brand iirc. Nothing like what you offer.
Really enjoy watching these fittings. Couple of questions. Do you not stock Ping. Do you ever ask what ball people play or do you tell them to bring their game ball. Surely different balls can add or lower spin ?
Thanks Baz. And no we do not stock Ping. They are extremely hard to do business with apparently!! 🤦 But their loss! And I don't recommend balls when doing driver fittings really, only because the ball will make waayyy more difference to the irons and wedges, it will only make a very marginal difference to driver (most people wouldn't notice it at all) so without analysing their irons/wedges I don't want to recommend something that could be detrimental to the rest of their game.
Good to know thanks. Only asking as I'm going for a driver fitting and was wondering if I should take the ball I use. Wouldn't hurt I suppose. Wonder how many people have got great numbers with a pro v1 in a fitting then got on the course and pulled a srixon distance out the bag 😁 Keep up the good work love the videos 👍
@@Baz303 yes always a good idea to use your gamer ball for sure. Again with driver it really wont make a huge difference. But if you're doing an iron fitting though, that's where I really make sure the ball is taken into account
Great fitting to see the process and almost going away from the Titleist to confirm how good it was! Would you not have considered the TSR1 to go with the lightweight theme…or would that have spun more? Also is there a ‘blank’ to cover the weight port having removed it on the 3?
Yeah the 1 would have just spun a lot more. And we made the 3 into a 1 anyway by removing weight. 👌 No blank needed with the 3 as it's a weight track and not a specific hole 👍
Great fitting, I am finding the TR Red is causing more spin with the driver..why didn't you try the hzrdus red with other heads?
Go try get some proper data on quad before buying a new shaft, shafts really don't change spin much, I did do a comparison of the Black Vs the Red on my channel. And the HZRDUS Red is a stock Titleist shaft and is not stock in for anyone else.
its interesting that if a shaft isnt a stock shaft in a brands driver you could be a paying a serious up charge to move to it. @@epgolfstudios
Great content, and her swing speed is similar to mine as I’m now clearly a senior golfer; thus this very relatable for me. What was the final swing weight was for her new setup?
I just took the sliding weight out of my TSR3 to see what it does to swing weight. It is an 8gr weight and moved the swing weight from D5 to D1.
@@PauloG100 thank you for that info. If you decide to try to play it that way, I would be very interested to know how impacts everything-ball flight, dispersion, distance, feel, etc.
@@billg3535 I will try it on the course.
I did experiment on a launch monitor today and I was not sure either way, but I didn’t feel I was fully ‘on it’ so I am not writing it off just yet.
What was the swing weight of the final fitted set up?
does trackman generally inflate smash factor because those numbers and strike look great, but she is still rarely over like 1.42-1.44.
i havent done that much testing but after 5-6 sessions (all on trackman) im very rarely under 1.47 with an average of 1.49 so thinking they are abit different.
Otherwise my numbers are close to identical to megs except im a little more in-to-out so really fun video to watch.
Main difference is i look like i swing at 95%, while meg looks like she swings at like 50% with that buttery smooth swing
Yeah she does swing it very smooth! And Trackman and GC Quad measure swing speed differently, GC Quad measures swing speed higher than on Trackman, hence why the efficiency or smash factor numbers are different
The two recent fittings I’ve seen end up with drivers without the weight added. Do you find this regularly? Another impressive fitting 👍
Thanks Barrie. Not that often with the weight completely out but I will very often put lighter weights in the head. 👌
Is there any way you can film someone between 100-105 club head speed🙏🏾… would love to see the different combo you have that golf swing with
I'm sure we will have someone at that speed soon! But always remember speed is far less important than how you deliver the club, so if I fitted someone at 100 - 105 club speed for a combo you could end up with something completely different. All depends on how you swing it 👍
My question is this, the Hzrdus Red CB produced the best numbers for Meg so why didn't she test it in all the heads she tried. Was it a head/shaft matchup?
Interested in learning where are you located specifically. Maybe I can take a trip for a fitting. Thanks
Hey Donnie! We are located in Newbury, Berkshire 👍
What was thought behind taking the weight out?
No Tsr1 for her to try? Hugely underrated that head and works for the lightweight set up
her spin numbers were spot on with the TSR2. i’d be surprised if the TSR1 would have been better
Goes to show good fitters get it 80-90% right on their first pull...curious as to why no CB shaft options in the other heads?
The C6 Onyx is the Stealth 2 is slightly CB. But the HZRDUS Red is a stock option in Titlesit but not in anyone else, so if it works in the Titlesit then that's by far the best option, and it stood out head and shoulders above the rest 🙌 plus there's not actually many CB shafts out there tbf. Not proper ones anyway
@epgolfstudios not proper ones is the key word hahaha
Being a fitter, I feel he should have put the Hrdz red in the other heads, especialy the Stealth 2 because the customer prefered the look and feel of the head.
Taylormade dont offer that shaft unfortunately. And with it being a stock shaft I don't have the universal tip on it. Plus the amount extra it would cost to have that shaft in the Taylormade head it would be a pretty easy win for the Titleist anyway as we were getting everything we wanted out of that head. Plus I just think it's a better head anyway 😂
I have the Stealth 2 with stock shaft Hzrd Red 5.5. In North America. My gamer with 90 to 92 mph ss.
@@danielfrancoeur8345 that's awesome, ultimately it's just about what works best for you 👌👌 and I assume it's the old RDX not the Gen 4 CB? They did the RDX but not CB
I wonder if I might get an answer to a question here that I've been pondering for a while now. I didn't know what a fitting was and last year I ended up with 3 drivers. Now that I've seen a number of examples of what can be accomplished through a good fitting, I am interested but there is no way in the world I am going to buy another driver. So, would it be possible to get a fitting where all I am looking at is the best possible combination of the 3 adjustable drivers I have and with the option of buying a shaft for one of them? Or is that not something a fitter would do? Not that it matters but my numbers are similar to this person's and I would also be thrilled if I could drive the ball 230-240.
Yes that is absolutely something that can be done 👍👍
Did you try the TSR1 driver on this test and how do you think the TSR1 would compare across different swing speeds
TSR1 just spins a lot more than the 3 so it would go a lot higher and nowhere near as far. Clubs need to be fitted for the delivery, not the swing speed👌
For her club head speed, 90ish, below 2500rpm spin is trouble. She needs spin to keep the ball in the air. My daughter is 12, swings her driver 90-92, it seems optimal for her is around 3000 spin at around 12-13 degree launch angle
According to trackman carry optimizer, 90mph clubhead speed at +5 angle of attack, ~2,600 spin is optimal. If trying to max out total distance, it’s closer to 2,000
@@alexshearer3227 I agree, but at 2000 spin the misses would be punishing
@@mattmoore9790 agreed. Very consistent striker might be okay tho.
When Meg middled the TSR3 it was 15 launch and 2500 spin. Perfect. Again it's not about speed or the loft of the head, it's all about delivery. Everyone will have differently optimised numbers because of different delivery. And yes correct if a very straight player wants to play a bit closer to the edge to get more distance then they can play a little lower spin. Yes miss will be a bit worse but if you're hitting it around 220/230 and you're a good player it's far less likely you will be in trouble that often
@@epgolfstudios completely agree, it’s why my 290 drives end up in the rough way more often then my daughter’s 220 drives. Or maybe I’m just getter old and she’s getting better lol. Keep up the good content, it’s enjoyable
Any reason why the Ping G430 Max or LS were not tried?
Don't do Ping
Ridiculous results!
Was the HZRDUS Red CB 5.5 the 50 (54 gram) or 60 (58 gram) ?
50 👍
My swing speed is the same yet avg 202 carry....im of for a fitting
When you found a good start with the Titleist TSR2 & HZRDUS Red CB shaft, why did you try totally different head/shaft combinations? Instead, why didn't you try different heads on the same shaft and/or different shafts on the same head? Or try different length/SW combos? Basically narrow down an already good combo to make it great? Instead, you spent all your time trying very different combos and only tried the TSR3 at the very end when she was likely tired and she wound up with a good, but not a great fitting.
You need to watch the video again. I thought it was a great fitting. I like that a fitter would try get something better in my hands after the first try. He likes to go extremes. He explained everything very well. Wish there was a fitter around me like this guy.
Most enjoyable aspect of these fittings are the countless experts giving advice to the professional fitter!!!
🫣🫣😂😂👍
Thanks Glenn 👍
Too bad these types of fittings are not what you get at 99% of golf shops. Generally it’s find the club you like the most and the salesman sells it to you. Even fittings you pay for are limited to what the shop sells and that what its all about. 😢 if it was local I’d sign up today !
With her clubhead speed, why didn’t you try the TSR1 head with like an Autoflex shaft?
He is working with the shafts that are options with the various heads, putting autoflex in any of those heads would probbaly up the final price by £500.
And the rest 😂
But the set up you refer to would have been very close to the Aerojet with Brava shaft. That shaft was brought out to rival autoflex. Probably could have taken even more head weight out and tested that but honestly the numbers we were getting from the TSR with a stock shaft never would have been bettered with the autoflex. Plus the only reason for TSR1 is low headweight but I adjusted the head weight anyway. So the TSR1 just spins a lot more than the 3 so would have lost distance
@@epgolfstudios Makes sense. I know not everyone is going to want to or can pay the price of an Autoflex shaft. I was more interested in the TSR1 head as it is light and really good for slower swing speed players. I am 76 years old, still play at a scratch hndcp and got a TSi head with an Autoflex shaft about 2-3 years ago or so and picked up 15 yds carry and have NEVER hit the ball straighter in my life. Since then, 4 of my friends have tried my club with similar results and got the same club. You did a great job with Meg (man she’s cute). I’m sure she is over the moon picking up that kind of distance. That’s really hard to do when you are already a really good player! Well done!
@@razor7241 the TSR1 is lightweight yes but again when you can take weight out of the 2 or 3 head then that just matches the same weight as the one. Then it's all about the best spin profile for you. If you are someone who hits up on it a lot then the lower spinning 3 head will help increase distance a lot. If you need more spin then the 1 head will be better for you 👍
Would love to see the tsr1 with the same shaft. Nelly Korda set up before moving to taylormade
It would just spin more. Prob be a little more left biased too. So neither great for Meg 👍
I am using one now and compared it on the course to the Stealth. Distance was about the same but accuracy was much better with Titleist. I may try a used TSR3 this summer@@epgolfstudios
Not sure why you don’t find a shaft that works first and then swap out heads?
This is just how I like to fit. Test more variables this way. Plus head is really more important than shaft so you'd prob do it the other way around if anything.
Becuase if that shaft isnt a stock option with the head its going to be a high upcharge.
Moral of the story. She went from a heavy 10.5-degree driver to a stock lighter 9-degree driver and picked up distance. She needs a shorter shaft as well.
Whys that
Because she's pushing and pulling drives. A shorter driver will straighten her out.@@epgolfstudios
@@alarmservicepros the high majority of shafts in there fitting were shorter, but if anything they were worse
@@alarmserviceproslooked like she was hitting it very straight in the fitting I watched. 😂⛳️🏌🏽♂️
With her swing speed, why not the TSR1?
Because it's a much higher spin head than the 3. Plus we reduced the head weight anyway and thats only positive of the 1, unless you need more spin
How is she reaching these distances with her slow swing speed? I should be able to get 300yards on my 100mph swing speed on my tsr2 but i don't 😅
Meg hits up on it quite a bit and normally hits a bit of a draw too so that's a very good delivery to optimise distance. With 100mph normally around the 270 mark is optimal. But again there are lots of variables in there.
I saw a video recently by Matt Blois (now called Golf Liberty on YT but used to be at TXG) who suggested roughly 2.4 yards carry per mph clubhead speed. On that basis, I don’t think 300 yards is realistic at 100mph - 250 carry, 270 total perhaps.
@@johngibson2639 absolutely correct John 👍 really for 300 outside I would say you'd need to be close to 110 on quad in all honesty. Depending on where you are in the world of course! Here in the UK in winter time with zero roll out you probably need closer to 115 😂
Oh wow you guys sre spot on! I think that's my exact carry.. Then how fast should my speed be too reach 300yds? What about 300meters?
You told her 45.5 inches is probably too long for a lot of people, yet the first shaft is 45.5 inches.
True and true
Why would you go with 9° instead of 10.5° head, slower speeds usually need more launch angle?
You would lose distance because 10.5 would spin too much
Lots of LPGA pros use lower lofted drivers because they hit up on the ball more than the PGA tour guys.
Hard to judge when she keeps hitting it too high on the face with some setups. Seems like distance is all about less backspin
Excellent fitting job. Can you open an office here in Montréal, Canada. Too much equipment SALES persons down here….sales sales sales…..money money money….next next next….majors golf equipments should be worry about the chaos in this fitting ‘’industry ‘’…they ruined their equipment reputation.
Maybe one day!! 😂👍 Yeah that does suck. Sorry to hear you have nobody around you that is trustworthy. Unfortunately there are plenty of places around like that and they don't help the reputation of the industry 😓
If she is consistently out the heal, her club ball setup should be adjusted, centre club with ball should be reset 15mm to the inside of the ball, would create a centre strike,
Move back from the target slightly, the club would be closer to the horizontal centre rather than high face,
I'm so glad women started wearing Leggings.
No more than 45”, not less than 10.5, than find a shaft
What 😂😂
@@epgolfstudios I get that a longer shaft, less loft will produce longer drives… but on the course this build brings in the possibility of wild misses. I like seeing you take the people through the trial and error of finding the right fit.
@@mattmoore9790with swing and delivery as neutral and consistent as Meg’s, wild misses just aren’t going to be an issue IMV
Did you even watch? What wild miss did you see? 😂⛳️🏌🏽♂️
@@glenburr6755 in one fitting, indoors, saying that’s the club she should be in? Play a few rounds with it. There’s a reason why the best players in the world don’t play with lower lofted drivers.
That’s how far I hit my 5 iron. I don’t understand why she doesn’t swing faster? Most women should get at least 230 yards. She looks young and fit. Or is this normal?
Average drive for women is around 150 - 175 yards.
Lpga players only hit it around 260-270 with a few exceptions. Most average male golfers will only hit it about as far as Meg did. So many players have never been on a launch monitor so couldn’t really say how far accurately they hit it.
9 degrees is way too low, it’ll make her good ones better, but her misses will be erratic. Less than 1% of lpga pros will use a driver with that low loft
The loft of the head is irrelevant, it's the loft at impact that matters. 9* TSR3 gave perfect numbers when hit well
I see a loft of “what’s in the bag” of LPGA players, and a lot of them use lower lofted drivers…
