I went to get fitted for the TSR today, I figured I'd be fit into a TSR2 since I'm a new golfer. But I ended up with the TSR4. Yeah my contact was all over the face, but the 4 stayed in the fairway and the 2 would leak way right on misses. The TSR4 dispersion was very low. I used a Ventus Black 6X. Even though my smash factor was a little lower with the 4 the ball speeds were up and the carry was up almost 10 yards over the 2. The std dev. of the carry with the TSR4 was about 5 yards and the TSR2 was like 15 yards...
I watch a lot of your videos and I didn’t notice too much difference between the new heads vs your gamer (TS13). Maybe the maintenance of ball speed on off center strikes is better, but spin and carry distance appear similar.
I've noticed in some of your latest videos that the sound is noticeably louder on the left side vs the right side when listening through headphones. Not sure if it's your recording equipment, or post production, just FYI.
Just play the tsr 2 , The most forgiving driver ,out of 10 shots he should hit 8 fairways and maybe give up 10 yards at the most ,while trying to wrestle with a tsr 3 or 4 ,
I thought you would have tried a couple more shaft options. But then again, you know what tou like. I always thought everyone wanted to see spin around the 2200 but all yours were higher. 🤔🤔 is that okay then. Low spin high launch. Would another shaft option offer that for you.
The problem with a driver fitting like this is that you’ve hit a bunch of drives in a row. On course you’ll use driver one time and then wait around 15 minutes until you finish your round before you hit another drive. I would argue that the TSR4 won’t give you the confidence like your trusty fairway hitting Ping G400. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah you can only ask for so much. Once they're released you can get a demo or something at your club but this will help you determine which one you demo.
Mike, do they have a weight kit that offers something other than a 3 gram and an 11 gram weight? For instance, could you have put a 7 gram in the front and a 7 gram in the back?
Hi Steve. The clubs don’t come with a weight pack but during a fitting you can alter weighs to suit feel, flight or swingweight if changing shaft length etc. Pretty sure you can’t buy extra weights from Titleist but could be wrong.
What a poor fitting, gave you one shaft to try and that was it, horrific. You want to try somewhere like golf principles in basingstoke for a fitting will open your eyes to how bad this was.
Unreal, it didn't matter where you struck the ball the ball speed barely moved. Excellent work by Titleist. Can't wait to hit them.

How did your confidence factor play into it with the smaller head?
what swing speed do you have?
I was shocked I hit the TSR4 best as well. On my miss hits with the face open my spin rate stayed a lot lower too.
That TSr4 looks amazing. It looks like Titleist finally got the heel to be as hot as the rest of the club.
TSr 4 for Michael on order! Informative video Micheal thanks
Awesome fitting video and I can’t wait to test these drivers on Sunday
going for Titleist fitting next Friday , look forward to trying these,
Great thing is its a good time to pick up used tsi clubs.
"I don't play a great deal...give me the TSR4." - Michael Newton
Ugghhh, right when I was getting used to my tsi3…well, time to drop a few hundos for a tsr4!
Nice!
Titleist just might get me this year. Hit all 3 last night.
I play tsi3 with the sfw stiff shaft. Love it idk if i can justify upgrading yet.
Awesome video.

Ive got a TSR2 on the way.

I would have done TSR3, keep the weight in the heel, turn the loft down to 8.25 with the Tensei 1K black
It would been very interesting to see what would have happened on a higher strike, would spin dropped way too low?
with the same face as the TSR2, the TSR4 is actually more forgiving than the TSR3?
this fitting is about the head. Keeping the same shaft will tell the difference among the different heads.
If you could just hit the ball Above center and on toe side Your spin Would be a lot lower and it would be going a mile

That’s what every driver fitting is

I notice you consistently hit the ball in the lower part of the face.. Try fixing that first ?? Will certainly change your flight ..
Dispersion comparison??? These vids always leave out the most important data.
