Okay I'm a retired male and currently living in Valencia, Spain. Actually, I moved out of the US nearly 10 years ago. First moving to SE Asia. Since this channel is primarily focused on Black females, I was wondering if any one knows of a similar channel dedicated to Black male expats? I've searched online and all I was able to find were a few sites dedicated to Black males traveling abroad. I'm way past that stage. I've seen other channels and groups that are Black female oriented. You sisters are way ahead of the game. I'm thinking that perhaps I can start something for the brothers on my own. Or join the sisters. What do you think?

Hi Stephanie! I enjoy watching all your videos although you know I made my leap to Tulum about 6 weeks ago, which was short lived (I needed a place with more infrastructure). So, I connected with another sister from the group who lives in Merida. I quickly moved there, found a lovely apartment, and loving the start of my retirement or what I like to say my "Re-wirement😉! Several people have prompted me to share my journey via a RUclips Channel, which I probably will soon( I have several platforms already in play, so I'm deciding how to consolidate my message/niche. Thank you for the ongoing work you do... It reignited my passion to get back to traveling and living abroad, a lifestyle I had many years ago!

Hi ladies, thank you Stephanie for stepping out the box and being courageous! So many don’t see us as important women, let alone black women. Yes, when we move about locally, nationally or internationally people don’t know how to act towards black women. I travel locally(Us) and are treated differently in many US states, I can only imagine different countries. Your interviews are absolutely amazing. Thank you for bringing the truth from personal perspectives. No one can deny personal experiences. The practice of prejudice is real. The act of ignorance is profound. Thank you

Hey, I missed the live chat, but I had something to say about Norwegian people. Although I found it easy to meet men, 8t's hard to get past the initial conversation. One American I met who had been working there, said that Norwegians are very reserved. It is hard to make friends, but once you do, you have a friend for life. What will happen a lot is making an appointment to meet and then being stood up with a lame excuse. They are getting used to dark skinned people immigrating. There are lots of Ethiopians in the cities.
Denmark and Norway are lands of the Vikings. Women fought with the men in battle and have their own voice. Women from other countries have less problems than the men. A man can easily be deported if there is any kind of problem, especially with women. There is more equality for women, no matter what country you are from.

@@StephaniePerry so like alot of women my family home is getting ready for sale, and I need a change. I have no family entanglements but it's a good idea to have my child go to school abroad. She is resistant to change , which I get. She could stay with her dad but I'm more fun. LOL. I'm 51 and I still have life in me and I do want/need to start over. I've traveled the US and I got the travel bug since I was 10. I wanted to stay in Brooklyn/NYC but the amount of rent over even a yr is nuts! This info is great especially for BW, we need to learn there is more to life and we deserve to have the best lives possible . Once I realized I deserve more than I'm getting thats when I thought I can do this. I appreciate you putting this info out there. I just happened upon this on You Tube and just started to listen. Apologies for the length of this. Thank you.

My problem is I dnt know how I wld be able to work for myself abroad?I've been in the medical field as a phlebotomist for over 13yrs and now am a CA Claims assistant for a health care company but I get alott of push back from this company when I mention working remotely. Being a CA isn't something I want to do forever, rather boring. So idk wht to do? I dnt think I have any other skills..besides communication..but no degrees like most blk women. Mayne interested into being a doula or midwife someplace in Europe but again, how?...I'm not a numbers girl. Not very good with math & calculations to fig out budget before I can quit. My debt isn't very much..under 23k. I signed up for House sitting like Stephanie Perry suggested but still haven't found a house sit yet..just feeling bummed and alone on this. You have to pay in order to get answers to anything. I'm not sure if thats the right way to go for answers that should just be free. Ty anyways. This just cnt be my life man. It cnt

Hi Aimee! BlackDoulas.org is doing online doula certification. They also have business coaching to help women grow their doula business.
And to book your first house sit, make sure you download the TrustedHousesitters app and set an alert so you get notified when a sit is posted where / when you want. Being first to apply is important when you're new. Summer house sits are being posted now, so keep trying. And consider also looking for your first sit close to home.
