      😂 Sounds like you’re living in a Bizarro World of alternate reality!… You’ve been brainwashed with victimhood lies spread by the leftist controlled U.S. mainstream media!… Black people in the U.S. are the most privileged and entitled people in the world and 9 out of 10 Central American or sub Saharan African would trade places with you in a New York minute!… Yeah, that privilege you get carrying that USA passport is unparalleled compared to say the Mexican or Kenyan passport!… Just be grateful that you are privileged enough to be a citizen of the least racist country in the world and the greatest country in the world!… Love it or get the fcuk out as they say!… You won’t be missed and you will be replaced by someone grateful and appreciative in the blink of an eye!

    Facts💯 I’ve lived in Jamaica for fifteen years and the culture shock was unbelievable. I went there with my New York aggressive behavior blowing the car horn without patience, they don’t blow horns there unless it’s extremely necessary, then their lay back way of life was hard to get use to, I was always telling them I was in hurry if they could speed it up they would look at me like I was crazy. Eventually I had to learn to calm down bcaz everyone was so chilled, on coming back to the states to visit I couldn’t wait to leave it was erratic fast pace and noisy, gives me panic attacks.

    I’m in Mexico. I’m not in a tourist area, so I get stares but a lot of friendly stares. There are people here who have never seen a black person in real life, so I’m used to that for those who have never met me. I left Sally yesterday with items in my hands because I didn’t purchase a shopper bag. There were no issues with anyone suspecting if I stole. If I could get my parents to move here, I’d never go back to the US. Omg about storage facilities; that is soooo true! And the conversations, omg so true. I heard a loud American in a spa discussing only work. It made me realize what life outside of the US is all about. You make me want to vlog again.

    • @DanielPe322
      @DanielPe322 3 года назад

      This is so true we don’t have black people in many areas of Mexico and the stares are definitely out of curiosity we are a very curious people in general. I’ve never felt like people stared at me in stores. I don’t know how I’d react if someone assumed I was stealing. 😳

    Stephanie: you speak truth!!! I decluttered about 10 or so years ago and it did feel good. I mean it felt SO GOOD!
    I just did it again as I've sold my house and living with my sister before I start my around the world travels. I know your main target is for black women but, as a black male, I find your information valuable, truthful, and trustworthy!
    I remember some years ago my car broke down and my parents offered me their car to get me through the day or two that I'd be without (to get to/from work etc.), but I declined. I had figured out the local bus and I could get to/from work AND to/from my mechanics place (with a little bit of a walk down the street). Funny, but it was as if my mother was slightly offended. But yes, it was empowering and I love to walk. Currently I cannot drive due to shoulder surgery and I'm back walking/taking the bus to/from physical therapy :)
    I love how you're living life and sharing your thoughts and ideas! Thank you so much.

    I was in Europe for a week and enjoyed not being rushed during dinner. When I Got back my friend and I sat in a restaurant. We had not seen each other for three months. She also had got back from Europe. When we went to a restaurant in New York the waiter kept checking in on us and would not leave us in peace. At one point he took the meal away but we cannot even finished. It was quite a culture shock.

    I returned from overseas after one year away. As an Aftican American US citizen, it was a difficult transition. I had to get used to the microaggressions that you mentioned. Truthfully, I would compare returning to the states to someone having to put on an ill fitting, oversized heavy coat that you didn't realize you were constantly wearing until you had the opportunity to take it off when living elsewhere. It's an oppressive feeling to have to mentally prepare to function in a society that is not particularly welcoming and in the case of police, downright hostile. Family situations preclude my departure, but I wish I could leave.

  • @christina9238
    @christina9238 2 года назад +1

    I just completed a return and then a ( woohoo ) depart of the US. One thing that stood out to me was the annoying small talk and fake "how are you's" that come at you when you're trying to check out with your items in a store or what have you. The dining experiences were def a huge shock as well, between the poor quality, XL price AND 20% tipping expectations, and like you mentioned the lack of peace from the server. Also, how we ignore one another when passing by. In Mexico, a casual greeting would typically be offered.

    14:45 oooh, that explains a lot. I dated an african american man once, and whenever we would go out, as soon as I put down my cutlery, he would ask me, do you want anything else? If I said no, he would call the waiter for the bill immediately ... I was like.. ehm, are you on the run? 😆To me it felt very rushed. Because usually we would sit and talk after finishing our meals over here in Germany and the waiters would come and ask you would you like something else.. of course you wouldn’t just sit there for 2 more hours without ordering anymore, but don’t rush me 😄

    Thank you so much for talking about Mexico, I always wonder why a lot of blacks are gravitate towards Mexico, and I must say I was busy looking at the part that is violent, knowing that not every part of Mexico is like that, even though here is America they always show the negative part of any other foreign place because of the racism that we experience our self here, but I knew it was something good about it because I hear a lot of blacks saying how much they like Mexico mainly black women, now I have an interest in going to Mexico but what I like to know from you is what part of Mexico is the best place for black women and black men because one day I would like to vacation there, and I rather get my information from you because you were straight into the point, and you I know it would not give me any pet advice, that’s how much confidence I have in your word, I’m new to your channel but you are a straight shooter, so you will listen too, so thank you for all of the information that you have been giving I’m still trying to catch up with a lot of this information that you were giving, I find it very intriguing even though right now I can’t be moving around abroad like that, married husband is not interested in moving around going abroad, but if anything ever happened in our life and he leaves before I do and I’m not too senior citizen to do anything I’m very intrigued.Laugh out loud God for bid anything to happen, but you still need to plan so I find the things that you Saying very intriguing call mom so I put that on my bucket list, so thank you so much for your information and have a wonderful weekend and once again thank you for your unapologetic honesty. Happy travels and BON VOYAGE!!! I havnt been since ‘90, but... if you like ruins or temples seeing TULUM is a must. Most check out Chitzinitza, but it’s hours on a tour bus, in JUNE little AC, and your directors are BORED/boring! TULUM tours better. If you swim; cenotes’ are a dream. If you dance or party or club hop it starts really late, 1am lol. Have the best time ever!!! Imma retired bartender, and the alcohol content of most all their liquors is WAY less than ours ie. ours 80%, theirs 40%! So if you drink....❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻

    I used to live in the USA but now im. In Mexico. But I do speak spanish. I would def recommend learning Spanish.
    All the places youve mentioned are where predominantly english speakers are. So you dont really get the feel of the heart of Mexico. Plus you also get to see so many cool things that you wouldn't be able to see with only knowing english.
    Plus you get to connect with cool ppl and get inside info on anything you need. Where as the info you get from mainly english speakers can be a little outdated at times.

    Mexico sounds like my kind of town! I hate how we Americans size up one another by their titles and education. Can you image the looks here if your response to work? As little as possible... I love that response.

    Sherry, I sooo appreciate your time and knowledge, I subbed and go to look at your roster and I’d been I UNSUBBED😡 just wanna stay here dagnabbit!!!! Lol silly RUclips’s! I share an understanding of loudness in certain scenarios and locations. It’s vitally important. Retired bartender in resorts with loud live music has taken its toll on my poor ears. I’m loud now not on purpose it’s embarrassing beyond! I’m constantly conscience of surroundings. People deserve peace and quiet, even me lol❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹

    I really love your videos. It's been my dream to live aboard for the last 5 + years. The dream has gained steam since my divorce 2 years ago but I would really love some information on healthcare for things like dental service female issues how do you go about finding a doctor and paying for these services. And is the healthcare as good as what you would receive at home in the states

    I once visited LA and my brothe who I was visiting at the time needed the car, so I just went for a stroll down the street (residential). No more than 5 minutes in, police car stops and 2 policemen come up to me and say someone called police because they saw suspicious activity (me walking on public sidewalk). I had to explain I am from Europe and just went for a walk. They looked at each other not understanding, they asked me where is my dog (if you walk, it must be walking dog situation only) LOL It was super weird.
