Would you guys agree with how I described the Klaww gang's master plan? I think some of you will say the plan was to gather the parts. Well think of it this way, why would the members use the parts to their advantage only for a limited time? As Arpeggio pointed out, they all used them for their own personal schemes implying that none of them except Neyla knew of Arpeggio's true intention.
Dimitti boss battle was best bc you dodge a few hits and then just hit him very much. I hate when in sly 4 you had to do things and then you can hit few times the boss
Yeah, I was so happy about that because all these guards be acting like you don't exist sometimes. I don't know what the Cooper gang was thinking with that last second plan. 💀
Dylan Conner To Sly's family, unless the idea of a robotic owl just sounds nice to be on display. How did the public even come across Clockwerk, do they know Sly's private life to the extent of knowing the family stalker?
What if Carmelita had it set up that way to catch Cooper? She is aware of Clockwerk's personal connection to the Cooper family, and she and Neyla did ambush Cooper at the exhibit. It would have been the perfect trap if the Klaww Gang didn't intervene.
Dylan Conner - You know, I didn’t think about it, but who discovered the Clockwerk parts and put them in a museum? They were left to burn in the volcano at the end of Sly 1.
StruttinStrayCat To be fair, Clockwerk’s hatred somehow kept him immortal and at the end of Sly 2, all his remained in good condition even after he was blown up again, until his chip was smashed. That same effect likely allowed the parts to survive the volcano
Wow! 🤯 I never realised that the Klaww Gang was started without Arpeggio! I always assumed that he was the Founder, same as Clockwerk for the Fiendish Five! It’s amazing how these small, very important details are still being discovered well over a decade later
I wouldn’t be against Clockwerk having hypnotized the Fiendish Five with his eyes. He probably didn’t have to since they all grew into criminals on their own, but as far as being persuaded to follow his orders and not try to lead themselves, I think his eyes are a good explanation.
Another great video. The fiendish five was cool as a group of big bad guys that pose as a threat from the start with the murder of Sly's parents. They definitely were scarier from the start. Another advantage the fiendish five has over the klaww gang is that clockwork served as a much better gang leader over arpeggio. But overall, I like the Klaww Gang more because they had an ongoing plan that involved each other. The fiendish five just had each member steal parts of the Thievius Raccoonus, but they did not have an ongoing and interactive plan the way the Klaww gang did. I know you did explain that the fiendish five did mention each other's names, but there was no master plan or interaction, like you also said. I'd rather not change the topic, but this argument of evil groups is a reason for why I like Sly 2 more than Sly 3. Sly 3 had no group. It felt like a bunch of random bad guys that had absolutely no connection with each other. Sure some of the characters were cool, but I felt like the plot was missing something without a connection between the villains.
@@akirachaossuta I think, when we encounter The Fiendish Five, they were already at their height. They had everything they wanted, with Ms. Ruby even stated to be retired. And it could also be, that the ratting out was done in hope that the next one would kill Sly and avenge him.
@@aureliodeprimus8018 I never actually thought about that. I mean lot makes sense, when we see Muggshot he's pretty pissed at Carmelita just for arresting him, imagine how pissed he'd be if he actually saw Sly again. Panda King was also apparently still angry with Sly for ruining his reputation and honor and still seems to be bitter about it even while his gang is helping him.
Funny cause both groups shared 2 same voice actors David Sculy-Sir Raleigh, Dimitri and Rajan(he also voiced Octavio and Lefwee in Sly 3) Ross Douglas-Clockwerk and Jean Bison
I am a huge fan of the second game. I found that the Klaww Gang was super interesting, here is my take on it. I believe that the Klaww Gang was founded by Rajan, ever since he was little he was selling spice in the black market. I think Rajan later wanted to expand his drug trade so he hired Jean Bison, who transported the illegal spice all across North America which increased profits, this could also be a reason for Rajan and Jean Bison to seem close to eachother in episode 2. They later recruited Dimitri in an attempt to sell more illegal spice through his nightclub. Dimitri was a typical drug dealer as noted by sly with “And shady back alley deals”. The profits then increased from this. Then possibly the Contessa, who has been “rehabilitating” people found out about the effects spice has on hypnosis so she reached out to Rajan and they made a deal. Rajan would supply her with spice for the hypnosis and in return she would keep them out of the public’s eye. The Contessa also probably shared part of her earnings through the clinic with the other members. Then finally they recruited Arpeggio for his expertise in expanding the business and making it more efficient. He found out about the Clockwerk parts and decided they could help with the Spice, but he has his own agenda
This is a good theory that makes sence. But Arpeggio would eventually become the leader of the Klaww Gang, since Rajan complains over the safe house speaker in episode 3 that he should be the leader of the Klaww Gang, confirming that he is not the leader anymore. Dimitri is clearly not the leader, and was simply following Arpeggio's orders like the Contessa, Jean Bison and Neyla. Also, one of the loading screens in Sly 4 states that Arpeggio was the leader of the Klaww Gang. So Arpeggio, with his genius intellect and calm charismatic personality, eclipsed the title of leader from Rajan when he joined as chief inventor.
To you think it is possible that Clockwerk possessed a second or spare bodies. In his shadow figures in the Thievius Raccoonus he appears to be different sizes. He even stands on a wire in one of them which would be impossible for his well known large robotic frame.
its my personal headcanon that clockwerk formed the Fiendish Five deliberately to kill Slys dad. Thusly each of their "peculiar" skills (dedicated mechanist even tho clockwerk exists, enforcer, voodoist) each was needed to counter some defense set up by mr.cooper seeing as in sly 3 his part of the vault is very tech focused
I theorize that Arpeggio was the one who insisted the Klaww Gang steal the Clockwerk parts from the museum under the ruse of using the parts to improve their spice production. So the Gang only knew of it from that angle, completely oblivious to Arpeggio's reassembly/immortality plan. When you think about it, Arpeggio was the one who accommodated the parts to fit what each member wanted (so he had to have been the one to turn the organs into train engines, the heart into a pump, etc.) so Arpeggio HAD all the parts at one point in time, but he still needed the Gang to do the rest of the work for his plan: make the spice, distribute the spice, get the northern lights, get the hypnosis machine. So despite having all the parts at one point, he allowed the members to use them in the meantime, then just waited for Sly and them to gather the parts back for him unknowingly. Honestly, the only part that confuses me is, what was Arpeggio's plan for getting all the parts had Jean Bison not captured Sly and them? Was he expecting the Coopers to come after him on his blimp for the brain and ambush them then to get the parts? Did he have some other plan? Jean Bison's deal was clearly a convenience thing Arpeggio couldn't have anticipated. So I'm curious about that. I also don't really believe Arpeggio is the leader so much as the Bentley of the group: he devises the plans and organizes things. Cause no one else really seems like the type to come together and cooperate without someone telling them to. I don't think so, anyway!
Very well put theory! If Jean Bison hadn't found the gang and their hideout, I would think Arpeggio would try and come up with a different plan by also keeping his true intention subtle. Eventually, a time would come where Arpeggio would realise the pieces are with the Cooper gang, he'd pay someone tons of money to get those pieces. As for the gang going after Arpeggio? Well he did come and pick up the battery, the Cooper gang would have gotten curious and followed him I'd say.
I don't think Arpeggio knew Jean Bison was going to capture the Coopers, since predicting that would have been super convenient aha, so I do wonder what his original plan was! I mean, Bentley mentioned them forming a plan to get the Clockwerk brain in Jean Bison's second level, so either way they were going to have to go on Arpeggio's blimp, and I think Arpeggio was aware of that. But also, Arpeggio DID know the Coopers had the parts from the beginning. That was his plan! Since Sly said to Arpeggio "You had Neyla put me on the scent back in Cairo, then waited while I stole all the parts... without arousing suspicion that you were behind it all". Clearly Neyla seemed annoyed at this in some way since she mentioned "I was overjoyed when Arpeggio let me toss you in jail". I guess if the Klaww Gang members hadn't been disposed of they would probably try to stop Arpeggio? Not cause of the immortality scheme, but just cause they'd be angry with him backstabbing them. But clearly that shows Arpeggio isn't an all-powerful leader (like Clockwerk) because otherwise they would obey him and just GIVE HIM the parts, like how you mentioned! So I can't imagine they had much respect for him at all, thus making his leadership position uncertain for me.
I'm very glad that people still care about the Sly Cooper series. Sly 2 was the first game i played and I still enjoy it to this day! Thanks for keeping me hyped up man it means alot.
To be honest the KLAWW spice plan seemed to only be a means to make money. It was only Arpeggio and Neyla who had a bigger plan. The other members were unaware of Arpeggio’s main goal and seemed like they were a means to an end. It likely that Clockwerk used the Five as means to an end as well.
I thought Arpeggio just wanted the Clockwerk parts so he could fly since he wasn't able to do so naturally. He wasn't seeking immortality, that's just a bonus.
the fiendish five and the Klaww gang both had their eyes on diffrent prizes, the fiendish five wanted to end the cooper line for good, while the klaww gang wanted to put clockwerk back together and didnt even try to stop cooper in the process. also the klaww gang had more than the fiendish five, but the fiendish five was able to do something witch was to take down all of sly's family. also the klaww gang had diffrent intentions with the parts besides jean and arpeggio when the fiendish five wanted to tear coopers family down and make sure the book was never seen again.
@@VtnVivi i believe the fiendish 5 wanted to get rid of the gang, but you could be correct, but clockwerk really despised the cooper line, and we know this from what clockwerk really said in the first game, and you gotta remember slys point of view of the story, he said that they ramsacked the place until they found the Thievius Raccoonus so they could tear the book into only pages. also Sir Raleigh mentioned that "they should've stuffed you (Sly) out as well"
Anyone noticed that in each game these were realistic crimes committed Sly 1 had realistic piracy, gangsters, manipulation to make an army and genocide Sly 2 had counterfeit, drug shipments, crime against police and thieves alike, civil war, destruction of entire ecosystem and hypnotic crime against humanity Sly 3 had pollution, illegal dogfights, forced marriage and more piracy Even trough Sly Cooper is all cartoony and for kids they wanted to give series a realistic feeling
A couple thoughts. The way Neyla name drops the Klaww Gang at the start of Band of Thieves makes it sound like they are a long standing organization. As such, their members would change over time, which would allow some one like Arpeggio to eventually become the leader. Also, as we have seen in Thieves in Time, Clockwork isn't the only person with a vendetta against the Coopers. It's possible that all the other members of the Fiendish Five were also jealous of the Coopers and banded together to steal their secrets for themselves.
The Klaww gang was active even before acquiring the Clockwerk parts, those pieces just sped up and increased spice business. In the end, they all wanted to keep those pieces for their own advantage until Bison sold them all. Hmm... To me the Fiendish Five didn't seem to care about the pages really, they were just ordered to do it in exchange for I guess rewards.
One thing I'd like to know about the Fiendish Five is did the other members know what Clockwerk's end goal was? Okay more than one thing I guess. Did the rest of them want to prove their selves as the best thieves or simply make money? If they did find out would they have even cared? How did they make money as a group? Why didn't any of them put the techniques in their respective pages of the Thievius Raccoonus to use?
Money. They knew Clockwerk hated the Coopers, that explains why they were hired to kill the parents and rip pages. They all went off their seperate ways after. I think they didn't care of what Clockwerk would do next, they simply had a deal and that's that.
About the "leader" of the Klaww Gang part, I think there's not a REAL leader, but perhaps someone who created the gang, then they decided to keep it like a team cooperation, ignoring the idea of a leader. Since, correct me if I'm wrong, every single memeber NEEDS one or another. Dimitri needs Jean Bison to receive the spices, who needs Rajan to produce it, who needs the Contessa to (dunno actually) keep his work undercover from Interpol. Maybe, the one who created the Gang itself is, in fact, Rajan. Not only because he is well known to have a spice selling empire, but because he is heart of the whole production. He needed someone to sell his spices right? For Arpeggio, I think that he was just one of the last to join (if not THE last), since he does not have any real connection with the spice business (outside of the whole hate hypnosis thing, but it's undercover so...). Maybe he joined the Klaww Gang in order to have someone to steal the Clockwerk parts for him, convincing the rest of the members that they granted benefits for the spice operation. He used the various pieces of Clockwerk to "update" the machines needed by all the members (this also explains how Jean Bison has all those technologically advanced trains even if he is not really up to date with technology) and then started his plan with Neyla.
"Clockwerk looks like the type of villain who would kill anyone who refused to follow his orders" Now I feel like the Fiendish Five might have been the Devilish Dozen at one point.
The Klaww gang were more compeling for the simple fact that they were more than just chapter bosses. The Fiendish Five aside from Clockwerk only appeared in bosses and occasional dialogues in levels. BUT to be fair that's because of how Sly 2 used a completely different gameplay formula than Sly 1. If Sly 1 used the same formula then the FF would've had a lot more sceentime and development than what they got.
They both had the same concept though. F5 and KG wanted to take over the world. Remember in Haiti how Mz. Ruby was going to take over Mexico.? It's like they each had their own territory in which, in theory, they wanted to expand. Arpeggio wanted to use the clockwork body to engulf the world with hate. The KG was a little more independent with what they were doing. They had spice as a focus while arpeggio hahisbown plan behind the scene.
Well Arpeggio we don't really know what he was planning after entering the frame which he didn't. We do know that he spread hate across Paris to fuel the hate chip. Did he have any idea the the chip would need more power afterwards? Who would give the spices? Production stopped.
You know I never much thought of the Fiendish Five or the Klaww gang when I played Sly 1 and 2, but this video really made me see things differently ^^ funny that Sly 3, there wasn't much a gang of baddies as Sly 1, 2 and, KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!
I would like to compare Panda King and Dimitri since they were both former artists who turned to a life of crime because they were rejected by a bunch fo stuck up snobs, and they ended up joining the Cooper Gang for the Vault Job.
I always wondered why clockwerk was just a bird. A giant mechanical bird but just a bird. Not anthropomorphized at all. My theory is maybe cuz he’s so ancient he’s from before these animals evolved to be more people like 😂 but for real how does he fit into the world there? I mean I’m sure they wanted to make him a bit larger than live but he’s literally just a giant bird. Idk how that works there.
I have a suggestion VTNVIVI. Could you also compare these gangs with Le Paradox's gang in another video? Because that was also a gang, where all the villains were connected.
Honestly the Fiendish Five kinda just... Killed Sly's parents, split the book amongst themselves, and went their seperate ways most likely. Its been YEARS since they did the deed by the time Sly 1 starts so they probably don't work together anymore. Hell, Muggshot wasn't too thrilled to receive his page of the Thievius Racoonus cause he flat out couldn't understand it. Meanwhile the Klaww Gang felt like a real criminal organization thanks to the spice dealings. Everyone had their role to play in terms of the spice: Rajan made it, Jean Bison transported it, Dmitri served it at his nightclub, Contessa made sure they didn't have Interpol on their back, and Arpeggio likely told them about the Clockwerk parts and how it could help the trade, even if he wanted to use the parts for himself, and even then he likely did some stuff for the group beforehand to earn their trust so they'd believe him when he talked about the Clockwerk parts. Neyla is the odd one out, maybe she had a similar role to Contessa but Neyla also backstabs quite literally everyone so I'm not sure.
Amazing comparison VTNVIVI. I always thought that something happens to the fiendish five. Like when Sly's dad went around the world and stole something from each of the fiendish five. And when Sly's dad retired, the fiendish five came in and kill Sly's dad and stole something of his. I mean, hey, it sounded like a plan. Because Clockwark knew sly was alive, he just wanted to end the Cooper timeline. Something gotta happen to each of the fiendish five, and why goes after Sly's dad.
Sir Rolly, mechanic of the Fiendish Five, proceeded to fight you as a bloated bouncy ball with tongue sticking out. If they remade the game, I hope they revamp his boss battle.
0:17 - So many would say the Klaww Gang have more superiority over the Fiendish Five on account of how they stay connected to execute their plan after stealing the Clockwerk parts, I honestly would've prefered the villains of the 3rd game simply because they're not part of the same organization which is great because there are no higher ups in that game. 0:36 - But they were all part of a bigger plot compared to the Fiendish Five. ;) 1:23 - Maybe not! Remember he knows Flame Fu so that makes him a "Flame Fu" master. ;) ;) 1:38 - Either that or it was all about the power he had, power that others would seek for themselves or just respect. 2:17 - Maybe there was another leader of the gang but was taken out due to unforeseen circumstances and so that was how Arpeggio came up on top? That's just one guess. :/ 2:25 - Hey I know that guy! :D It's been awhile since I've last been on the wikia so I wouldn't know too much. 2:34 - It was either someone who had very close relations to Arpeggio and had willingly passed his place to him after he was getting old or maybe sacrificed himself to save him or maybe Arpeggio had betrayed him to gain the position. 2:49 - And that they are both cold blooded creatures who are also the only females of their own gangs. 2:54 - And in some way American. 2:59 - And had monkeys as guards and were in some way foreign. 3:07 - How about the fact that both were voiced by David Scully? ;) 6:19 - I'll personally go for the obvious choice and say that the Klaww Gang were better because they had a master plan which included all members. 6:24 - Always happy to watch. :)
Hey VIVI, I love your videos and I am a fan of what you do. I think a great video would be to rank your favourite games in these franchises (Sly Trilogy (and Thieves in Time), Ratchet and Clank Trilogy, Ratchet and Clank future, Jak Trilogy) I think that would be awesome to see your opinion.
Clockwork wanted to run an Empire and maybe world domination but after I kicked his ass the fiendish five was dissolved and the claw gang wanted to run the crime syndicate themselves arpeggios plan started at the very moment neyla told me about the claw gang back in Cairo
Hey vtn vivi I have this weird thing about the cooper gang is u know how Conor,dr m, mc swinee are the first master thief, the brains, and the muscle and the first cooper gang cause I was thinking is the same fate going to happen to sly Bentley and Murray
I would say in the functional and purpose wise Klaww was a better gang as it has clear motives and a business that all it's members kept up even that they had their own things in the side of it. But I can still imagine Fiendish Five being in contact with each other even after when they stole the pages of Thievius Raccoonus. But when you play the game it seems as if they have not been in touch for a while. Also, wouldn't it be funny if Neyla was actually the secret leader of Klaww but no one in the gang never knew about it. Tho that would be utterly stupid.
Just gonna sly 2 with the whole "drive paris insane" (no offense) cant even come close to that church scene in kingsmen I know sly cooper is aiming for a not so big audience just saying
I think Arpeggio formed the Klaww Gang and had always been the leader. My guess is the "Arpeggio was hired by the Klaww Gang.." thing was just an oversight by Sucker Punch.
Determining which gang was better is subjective since the fiendish five was sort of the template for the other gangs while the klaww gang was a legitimate criminal organization. We really don't know why Sir Raleigh, Muggshot, Mz Rubie, and Panda king joined Clockwerk or how he came across them all, as for the klaww gang it's questionable on who actually started the gang because the game never definitively stated who the leader was. The klaww gang made money through the illegal spice trade, which Rajan produced & sold making him a vast fortune with help from Jean Bison to transport it across North America. Though again, it's questionable on how they all met since Rajan was likely brought in since his spice operations was vast and Jean Bison had a trio of trains to transport spice across North America to make even more money. As for the Contessa, likely she heard of Rajan and instead of bringing him in she uses his spice to steal from other criminals and provides a cut of their loot.
Maybe Contessa was the leader. I mean she has the hypnotic abilities and technology to brainwash and refine her minions in her arc. Not only that, but she is a secret member meaning she can use Arpeggio as a figurehead, and not to mention this has to come from somewhere and considering nobody else except Neyla seem to have the qualifications of being leader? Who’s to say she can’t manipulate the rest of the Klaw Gang?
But great theory video anyway and I just got into sly recently and beat the original after an indescribable amount of pain I swear to god those rings would be better in hell
Well, Fiendish five have a Frog that can create machines and dominated the Bermuda Triangle pulling down in to the ocean over *50* ships per *day*, a gangster so strong that he walks on his arms and break walls with his punches, a giant Crocodile that can resurrect skeletons, ghosts, and evocate giant monsters and a fokin 30M long snake/dragon, then we have a fucking panda that can throw fireballs, use kung-fu and destroy mountains, and at the end we got an immortal, gigantic owl made of iron that literally built a death ray. In the Klaww gang we got a bird with handicaps, a bisont from the 1800 that can't do 1+1, a huge black widow that can hypnotize, a tiger-drug dealer that knows how to fight a bit, and a purple Chameleon that spits in your eyes and sells drugs to the teens.
VTNVIVI the the fiendish 5 were good villains but their motives could have used more...weight. like they felt disjointed and not all that big a issue in the grand scheme.
This comment is in reference to a different video about Clockwerk. When the hate chip was destroyed wouldn't the age have caught up to clockwerk's brain too? so the brain would have been destroyed as well. did you realize that? or were you ignoring that?
The brain is something we aren't too sure of as we've never seen it. Hey you could absolutely be right about the brain withering as well, it's something I have thought of but did not bring up. The brain we can say was his soul aka his mind, was his soul ready to give up? I always had this theory that dark magic was also involved with Clockwerk, I mean how do his parts magically wither away after the hate chip got destroyed?
@@VtnVivi a good point and one i can agree with but the chip powered everything including the brain so the likely hood that it withered away too is pretty high
hay vtnvivi I just got a wild idea sly got stranded because of la paradoxes time machine right well what if sly found a time portal think about it in the sly cooper games sly and the gang would encounter the supernatural like Mrs ruby who used voodoo or the spider lady who used black magic so if the gang or sly cant use a time machine what if they use a more paranormal solution Bently would use a special type of magic for time travel or a ritual that would open a portal or sly can track down clockwork what if clockwork came from the future and went back in time to hunt the coopers but did not go back far enough to do much which explains why he showed up in the prehistoric point in time in the episode clan of the cave raccoon if he used a time portal sly would get home but a portal is not a time machine if sly tract clockwork it might be when he first came in. the portal might work at random so if sly went in he might end up in a different time period altogether at random. so vivi what do you think.
I guess my theory about arpeggio being chief inventor before I guess he was the replacement of Raleigh When Raleigh was sent to be killed off because of his failure I know that sounds very dark now that makes me wonder if arpeggio was activating the devices in clockwerk’s lair after clockwerk was destroyed arpeggio desides to go get some of the clockwerk parts with one of his devices the goes to the claw gang he comes up with a plan a the other villains were interested but then neyla was jealous of arpeggio’s plan to rebuild clockwerk’s body then the rest of the team votes for who’s plan is better and who is the newest leader arpeggio wins and neyla was disappointed so she wanted to aim for the parts her self for taking revenge on arpeggio and kill him That was my thought of arpeggio Even though arpeggio was killed already that was my theory
What if clockwork made the claw gang as a back up group i mean think about it how would they know about clockwork even the claw gang symbol looks like the wings and talons of clock work and what if arpegio was clock works protege and he was jealous of clock work because he couldn't fly yet his teacher could. That would also explain the hypnotic light show of hate from the blimp it would extend clockworks life if we didnt beat him in sly 1
Great video vivi glad people Still talk about sly I'm 22 been playing it since I was ten love the series if we don't get anymore sly games to me that ok we have great 4 games sly 2 will always be my favorite game ever nothing can top that game I'm just glad my favorite series is not miking it, it's a good respectful series
(know this is late) Will just say Clockwork orchestrated this cause what all did Clockwork say before he said that he will be back. Cause I recall it involving flowers, kind of like what the spices look like in there plant form. And since Clockwork's plan was to kill Sly in the first place making his source of hatred go away. That would mean he would need an alternative fuel source to keep himself going and the spice being the key to it since it works with the logic of how his brain is set up (since destroying that piece made his body dissolve killing him finally). The Klaww Gang worked before they went to retake Clockwork with them finding alternative ways to use hid body parts before reassembling them. And to look at one more thing is that what restarted Clockworks body was the life of another person, now explaining how or more what that process did to the host upon merging with the chip you could argue that Clockwork deleted himself but not his festering anger since it's tied to his immortality program since that is Clockwork in the end even if another user takes control of his body. But i am a bit rusty with this since it's been awhile since i'v played any of the games (and would have preferred him coming back in 4 since he was watching that all conspire in the background with the same cooper popping up 3 times in different time periods than that flop of a skunk that wasn't on the radar for him to kill like the Cooper family line) and i have yet to read the comics to know if that could explain any of it. But now to see what happens next with the franchise if there a 5th installment in Egypt (Which kind of make prehistoric Cooper's chapter even more irrelevant especially since he's not apart of the vault unlike the dozen of other coopers they could of used in the story. And i hope they don't do Clockworks origin story in the process).
Thank you for sharing you in-depth analysis! Clockwerk is a computer right? His brain, whatever happened to it, well it's the source of his mind or soul. Without it, his body is a mere shell which can house the mind of another in this case Neyla. If the brain was destroyed, I'd imagine his mind got backed up somewhere, they could use that as a future plot point. As for his origins, I'd expect Sly to at least stumble upon organic Clockwerk in Ancient Egypt before his whole madness. But as for a bigger take on on his backstory, I'd love that to be part of a new game.
@@VtnVivi I would say that present Clockwork is dead period with the only theory of a backup of his "brain" would be at Raleigh's place since Clockworks base melted into a volcano an if Arpeggio had it, it would have been destroyed along with his base. And after thinking about all the engineers through the game it wouldn't surprise me if Dr. M was the Doctor who proceeded to upgrade Clockwork to his modern body. After all, he does know how to create hybrids with mechanical parts for him to plug himself him. Ill just weave a silly theory about Jealousy and cutting a deal with the Devil. When Sly's father retired Dr. M grew with envy for the treasure that the Cooper family had that he was willing to go to the end of the world for. With Clockwork swooping on that offer, Clockwork get's a new body with is knowledge and Dr. M gets the location of the Cooper Vault to endless fortunes. And an even more silly theory is that one of his mini owls had his actual brain and the one in his body was just a hollow copy that was swapped out, after all his body was submerged in a volcano for a period of time an was able to survive that until being salvaged by authorities to be shipped back to his home in Egypt.
The Klaww Gang had a plan even if it wasn't Arpeggios full intentions. The Fiendish Five had no plan for world domination or anything. It's like Clockwork just gathered them up just to put a hit on Sky's dad. Plus the Klaww gang felt like a national super villain organization. Just like Marvel's Masters Of Evil or DC's Secret Society Of Supervillains. Plus each Fiendish Five member had betrayed there loyalty to each other. They completely ratted each other out to Sly after he defeated each member. Starting with Ralith who told Sly exactly where Mugshots base of operations and each member did the same thing to the next member. Why not just give Sly every members telephone number and social security number? 🤦♂️
VTNVIVI There's one reason I love them, Clockwerk. He's ultra smart, has a completely advanced lair, he created robotic and genetically modified minions, has cool weapons, and has an overpowered Death Ray. I do have a theory about his Death Ray though. I believe that Clockwerk was going to modify it to fire at certain locations around the world and he would probably take over the world. According to the Sly Cooper Wiki page, it mentioned it was still in construction, which means Clockwerk was still adding a couple of adjustments to be fully devestating. Although he wanted to be a master thief, Clockwerk most likely had plans to to terrorize the world and take over, despite being hell-bent on wiping out the Cooper Ancestry line. But other than that, I love the Fiendish Five primarily because of Clockwerk. Say, do you think you can do theory video about his Death Ray, I'm just curious what his true intentions were other than using it as a means to defend his fortress and destroy the Cooper gang.
I know this isn’t a theory, but please take this as constructive criticism. I feel as for the majority of your theories, you’re really on to something but end the video short of a masterpiece theory. Please re-evaluate how you end your videos. Otherwise great content as always.
VTNVIVI I would love longer videos actually, more content for me to watch! I’m no RUclipsr, and I don’t know what goes into producing your videos, so I really cannot make an informed suggestion. Just keep on improving! A lot has improved since I first joined the channel (somewhere around 5K).
VTNVIVI i agree with ya that the parts.
ay congrats on 15k! :D
I thought you broke down the plan pretty well
Thank you so much!
:D
Klaww Gang has Dimitri so it wins.
So did the cooper gang at one point
Well he's literally the best character in the franchise apart from sly so you can't argue with that logic.
Dimitti boss battle was best bc you dodge a few hits and then just hit him very much. I hate when in sly 4 you had to do things and then you can hit few times the boss
Fiendish five has the panda king so it wins
I wish we could of had Jean bison along with Dimitri in sly 3. Just felt so bad for him being frozen again but he was my second favorite
I wouldn't say jean bison had limited intelligence because he didn't get fooled by those disguises in sly 2.
He was pretty clever there!
Or too dumb to fool
Yeah, I was so happy about that because all these guards be acting like you don't exist sometimes. I don't know what the Cooper gang was thinking with that last second plan. 💀
He's just stuck In the past
Just a thought. Isn't kind of silly that the pieces to one of the most dangerous villians in history are just left in a museum to possibly be stolen?
+Dylan Conner Hahaha exactly.
Or they were promised a fortune.
For the Fiendish Five mentioning each other, I always saw it as ratting each other out. The whole, "If I go down, we all go down." mentality.
Funny cause both groups shared 2 same voice actors
David Sculy-Sir Raleigh, Dimitri and Rajan(he also voiced Octavio and Lefwee in Sly 3)
Ross Douglas-Clockwerk and Jean Bison
Ahhh well what do you know :D
01:21 Uhm excuse me... It's in fact FLAME-FU
Haha
Congrats on 15K subs dude!
Thank you dude!
Nyela was my favorite villian and I wish they used her more
I always wonder if she survived...
she was in like almost every episode lol. If anyone Arpeggio needed more screentime and a role.
Ahh very nice way of putting it!
I really wouldn't be surprised if Clockwerk's mind was backed up somewhere, he is basically a computer after all!
its my personal headcanon that clockwerk formed the Fiendish Five deliberately to kill Slys dad. Thusly each of their "peculiar" skills (dedicated mechanist even tho clockwerk exists, enforcer, voodoist) each was needed to counter some defense set up by mr.cooper seeing as in sly 3 his part of the vault is very tech focused
also def lean on rajan being the og gang leader. klaww gang, tiger, claws, you know
I theorize that Arpeggio was the one who insisted the Klaww Gang steal the Clockwerk parts from the museum under the ruse of using the parts to improve their spice production.
No problem thanks for the support!
Clockwerk for sure used the Five as means, i wonder if he had a most rusted ''side-kick''.
The fiendish five were Clockworks inner group The Claw gang worked for work
I thought Arpeggio just wanted the Clockwerk parts so he could fly since he wasn't able to do so naturally. He wasn't seeking immortality, that's just a bonus.
He surely could've figured out something else in order to fly.
Heartless214 Uhhh...:
Sly: All this because you can’t fly.
Arpeggio: Immortality is what I seek!
He wanted to fly AND have immortality, he said so himself. The Clockwerk Parts let him have both, so that's why he sought them out.
You forgot to mention that Dimitri became a future ally just like the Panda King.
+CrashSlySonic 777 Oh yeah slipped my mind heheh.
the fiendish five and the Klaww gang both had their eyes on diffrent prizes, the fiendish five wanted to end the cooper line for good, while the klaww gang wanted to put clockwerk back together and didnt even try to stop cooper in the process. also the klaww gang had more than the fiendish five, but the fiendish five was able to do something witch was to take down all of sly's family. also the klaww gang had diffrent intentions with the parts besides jean and arpeggio when the fiendish five wanted to tear coopers family down and make sure the book was never seen again.
I feel the Fiendish Five got involved simply for the money. Were the Fiendish 5 really expecting Sly to come after them?
@@VtnVivi i believe the fiendish 5 wanted to get rid of the gang, but you could be correct, but clockwerk really despised the cooper line, and we know this from what clockwerk really said in the first game, and you gotta remember slys point of view of the story, he said that they ramsacked the place until they found the Thievius Raccoonus so they could tear the book into only pages. also Sir Raleigh mentioned that "they should've stuffed you (Sly) out as well"
U r the reason i still have help for the sly series
:D
Im a simple Sly Cooper fan, I see Sly Cooper thumbnail I click, like and subscribe.
I appreciate the support!
Anyone noticed that in each game these were realistic crimes committed
Sly 1 had realistic piracy, gangsters, manipulation to make an army and genocide
Sly 2 had counterfeit, drug shipments, crime against police and thieves alike, civil war, destruction of entire ecosystem and hypnotic crime against humanity
Sly 3 had pollution, illegal dogfights, forced marriage and more piracy
Even trough Sly Cooper is all cartoony and for kids they wanted to give series a realistic feeling
Agreed!
Don't ask why but I always thought that arpeggio was clockwerk without the armour and that's why he wanted the clockwerk parts
Oh you upload on my birthday
Happy birthday!
VTNVIVI thank you also your theory video are inresting
Congrats with 15K Subscribers! :) Good Channel mate! :D
Thanks a lot :D
Your welcome mate :D and thanks for loving my comment :D
Definitely some points to consider!
"Clockwerk looks like the type of villain who would kill anyone who refused to follow his orders"
Now I feel like the Fiendish Five might have been the Devilish Dozen at one point.
Thanks for sharing!
*had his own plan
Well Arpeggio we don't really know what he was planning after entering the frame which he didn't. We do know that he spread hate across Paris to fuel the hate chip. Did he have any idea the the chip would need more power afterwards? Who would give the spices? Production stopped.
Are Pedro might have worked together with Clockwork but they separate their different way forming the clogging and the fingers 5
i miss this game :(
personal theory clockwerk first founded the claw gang and gave it to Arpaio seeing a bit of himself in him
You should make a schedule for uploading sly Cooper videos
I always thought of schedules to be honest. But knowing me, I might not follow it lol.
Glad you enjoyed it thank you!
I would like to compare Panda King and Dimitri since they were both former artists who turned to a life of crime because they were rejected by a bunch fo stuck up snobs, and they ended up joining the Cooper Gang for the Vault Job.
I have a theory maybe the original leader of the claw gang name wasn't mentioned because their setting him up to be the main villian in sly 5
VTNVIVI: One word to describe Neyla: A manipulator
Me: Buddy, that's 2 words.
No hate, just thought that was funny
Hehehehe
I love your Sly Cooper videos
Thanks!
I have a suggestion VTNVIVI. Could you also compare these gangs with Le Paradox's gang in another video? Because that was also a gang, where all the villains were connected.
Hmm... I could.
Klaw gang is everything the fiendish 5 were trying to be. They were actually all pivitol parts in 1 machine
Thanks for sharing!
Amazing video VTNVIVI
Sir Rolly, mechanic of the Fiendish Five, proceeded to fight you as a bloated bouncy ball with tongue sticking out.
If they remade the game, I hope they revamp his boss battle.
Boss battles in Sly need a good amount of spiciness. I want them to be bigger!
congrats on 15k! Also another great vid VIVI
+FightDracoFight _ Thank you so much!
hi vtnviv do you think there are coopers who weren't told of in the thievius raccoonus family members who went rogue.
I'd like to believe so! Siblings that either refused to follow their legacy or just turned their backs.
What about Le Paradox's gang?
Ahhhh! I decided to leave that one out to be honest. I find these two the most interesting.
Sly 4 doesn't count ^^
VTNVIVI I defiantly agree with you there. Sly 4 was great but story wise it was weaker than the others
hahah
I agree with you really described it all really well I think
Oh thank you :D
5:40 had a perfect chance to pickpocket lol smh
smh
I think the klaww gang is just a better group due to the fact they all seem like an actual team
0:36 - But they were all part of a bigger plot compared to the Fiendish Five. ;)
1:23 - Maybe not! Remember he knows Flame Fu so that makes him a "Flame Fu" master. ;) ;)
1:38 - Either that or it was all about the power he had, power that others would seek for themselves or just respect.
2:17 - Maybe there was another leader of the gang but was taken out due to unforeseen circumstances and so that was how Arpeggio came up on top? That's just one guess. :/
2:25 - Hey I know that guy!
3:07 - How about the fact that both were voiced by David Scully? ;)
6:19 - I'll personally go for the obvious choice and say that the Klaww Gang were better because they had a master plan which included all members.
6:24 - Always happy to watch. :)
Leader was Clockwerk, the brain.
Man I hope we get Sly 5 soon!
That'd be something wouldn't it?
Hey VIVI,
I love your videos and I am a fan of what you do.
I think a great video would be to rank your favourite games in these franchises (Sly Trilogy (and Thieves in Time), Ratchet and Clank Trilogy, Ratchet and Clank future, Jak Trilogy)
I think that would be awesome to see your opinion.
Thanks a lot :D Your ideas sound pretty cool!
VTNVIVI
I am glad you liked it. I would definitely be keen to watch those videos.
Clockwork wanted to run an Empire and maybe world domination but after I kicked his ass the fiendish five was dissolved and the claw gang wanted to run the crime syndicate themselves arpeggios plan started at the very moment neyla told me about the claw gang back in Cairo
Thanks for sharing Sly-san.
your welcome VTNVIVI-san
Bro nice vid but all I hope for is for a remaster of sly trilogy and sly 5 to get announced this psx
That would be sweet! And thanks :)
Hey vtn vivi I have this weird thing about the cooper gang is u know how Conor,dr m, mc swinee are the first master thief, the brains, and the muscle and the first cooper gang cause I was thinking is the same fate going to happen to sly Bentley and Murray
I wouldn't think so, seeing as how Clockwerk will just be dealt with.
"Not in touch for a while" Clockwerk still supports the rest with his machines but that is the only evidence of the contrary.
Could be going with the most obvious reasoning.
Ooh sweet a comparison.
Vivi what are your thoughts on Dragon Ball? :)
Used to watch it, didn't get into the new one.
VTNVIVI Oh thanks for letting me know. I grew up with Dragon Ball, and continue to watch every single episode since. ☺
Interesting for sure!
Wait if clockwerk's eyes can hypnotise people then how does sly not get hypnotised while fighting clockwerk
But great theory video anyway and I just got into sly recently and beat the original after an indescribable amount of pain I swear to god those rings would be better in hell
I would have no problem with this if the contessa couldn't use clockwerk's eyes to hypnotise you
I believe Clockwerk simply didn't use his eyes during his fight with Sly.
Interesting way of putting it.
The Klaww gang overall had a better overarching plan.
Definitely!
Great video. It was very interesting. I'm not a sly cooper person just ratchet and clank... Sorry... But like all your videos☺☺
Thanks for the support!
VTNVIVI your welcome anyway when is there going to be a ratchet and clank video. Just asking. I find those most interesting to watch when I'm bored
I have plenty of ideas, I just have to balance the content :)
VTNVIVI ok thx can't wait
Imagine klaw gang plus fiendish 5 against sly minus panda king of course also any updates on a sly 5 or the series
I could imagine characters coming back.
Fiendish 5 is my fav
They could've done so much more!!!! Did Clockwerk have a favorite ally among them?
hay vtnvivi I just got a wild idea sly got stranded because of la paradoxes time machine right well what if sly found a time portal think about it in the sly cooper games sly and the gang would encounter the supernatural like Mrs ruby who used voodoo or the spider lady who used black magic so if the gang or sly cant use a time machine what if they use a more paranormal solution Bently would use a special type of magic for time travel or a ritual that would open a portal or sly can track down clockwork what if clockwork came from the future and went back in time to hunt the coopers but did not go back far enough to do much which explains why he showed up in the prehistoric point in time in the episode clan of the cave raccoon if he used a time portal sly would get home but a portal is not a time machine if sly tract clockwork it might be when he first came in. the portal might work at random so if sly went in he might end up in a different time period altogether at random. so vivi what do you think.
I guess my theory about arpeggio being chief inventor before I guess he was the replacement of Raleigh
When Raleigh was sent to be killed off because of his failure I know that sounds very dark now that makes me wonder if arpeggio was activating the devices in clockwerk’s lair after clockwerk was destroyed arpeggio desides to go get some of the clockwerk parts with one of his devices the goes to the claw gang he comes up with a plan a the other villains were interested but then neyla was jealous of arpeggio’s plan to rebuild clockwerk’s body then the rest of the team votes for who’s plan is better and who is the newest leader arpeggio wins and neyla was disappointed so she wanted to aim for the parts her self for taking revenge on arpeggio and kill him
That was my thought of arpeggio
Even though arpeggio was killed already that was my theory
Arpeggio is in jail, we even saw him in comic issue 2 briefly behind bars. As for him breaking out afterwards who knows.
Well to be technical the Klaww gang symbol is basically Arpeggio's claws. But hey, I'm a fan of deep theories ;)
What’s your favorite sly game?
I remember enjoying Sly 4 the most to be completely honest.
I love sly cooper

Thank you! We got the TV show to look forward to don't forget.
Love the video
Nice and clockwork put up a fight and arpageo didn't fight at all
That too. Arpeggio is just not the fighter type.
Nice analysis :)
@@VtnVivi Thanks. :)
I like the Fiendish Five better.
Hmm...Which one do I prefer? Klaww simply due to more screen time.
YO U GUYS JAK AND DAXTER WAS LEAKED/TEASE ON PS4. NO BS U COULD SEARCH UP A VID "Jak and daxter bundle ps4 leaked"
I think the Klaww gang would win.
Ja grajem w sly2 demo
I know this isn’t a theory, but please take this as constructive criticism. I feel as for the majority of your theories, you’re really on to something but end the video short of a masterpiece theory. Please re-evaluate how you end your videos. Otherwise great content as always.
I appreciate the feedback! I also am careful not to make it too lengthy there's that.
VTNVIVI I would love longer videos actually, more content for me to watch! I’m no RUclipsr, and I don’t know what goes into producing your videos, so I really cannot make an informed suggestion. Just keep on improving! A lot has improved since I first joined the channel (somewhere around 5K).
