Would it be interesting if all members of the Cooper clan had a thing for law enforcers? Imagine if all Coopers eventually married the one person trying to stop them. Riochi with a kunoichi trying to bring him to justice. Galant with a female Joan of Arc-like character. Bob with an environmentalist who wants to protect the pterodactyls. Henrietta with a British navy general sent out to capture pirates. Connor with a police/investigator.
Maybe his Father felt the museum 'stole' the diamond from wherever it came from, in the real world some people have issue with how Museums obtain their items from their native lands, so maybe Sly's Father just applied that to his rule of stealing from thieves and considered the museum people thieves for having the diamond.
In some sly 2 cutscenes, sly showed up stesling a golden violin, some paintings and other stuff So Connor not just stealling from other thieves, it's not a big deal
they hid them because its pointless charactarisation keep it mysterious, that's what makes it so interesting to begin with. you know, leaving something to the imagination.
Theory, Connor faked his death to save Sly from a life of thieving and ripped his face off all paintings and pictures so it’d be assumed the Cooper name died with him and Sly couldn’t find him to learn more about the family.
2:40 Answer to that theory with another one i think McSweeny took the remains of the Painting back to the cooper vault following Connor's Death as sign of respect before he turned himself in to the cops, why was it damaged,Answer:Clockwerk was Salty.
Maybe Le Paradox wanted the canes because of the cooper vault, he may didn't know that it collapsed, or he wants the cane because it's the commun point of every cooper and he wants to humiliate them by stealing their most precious object
He explained it in the end, he wanted to be known the best! Stealing their ''valuable'' item to him made it seem like he was the best. He just cheated his way and was a coward.
About where Carmelita's origin. Not to go on stereotypes, but with the name Carmelita Montoya, I'd assume she'd have Spanish origin... Which is boardering France anyway so.... Also a paradox is a statement which, though seeming true, is self contradictory. And the butterfly effect is a concept that states that *changes* to the past should impact the future, not that happens in the past by default.... Good video none the less
Here's, I think, a better definition of a paradox: an infinite loop caused by time travel. For example, the one theory that Sly is his father. That is an excellent example of a paradox. There's also the killing your father/grandfather paradox for those that have heard of that.
1: When I first played Sly 3 and I heard from Dr. M I thought that maybe Connor Cooper was an ass but the more I think about it I'm not sure. I think Connor Cooper definitely had the ability to care. He seemed to care for Sly and Sly's mom. 2: Personally I just want Sucker Punch to retcon Thieves in Time. If not I'm hoping it's just brainwashed because the Penelope in 3 was not the one in 4. Then again very few of the characters acted the way they would have in Sly 4. But yeah I think after the pirate arc and the increased self-confidence Bentley had yeah I think it'd be stupid for her not to be redeemed and get back with Bentley. 3: I think Carmalita's just a cop, fourth in her family. As for why she was at Clockwerk's fortress I think she was able to piece together where he was headed or was kidnapped. 4: I don't think that a time travelling Sly would cause the beast that was Clockwerk because if that was the case Clockwerk would have been a lot more hateful towards Sly in particular.
I feel as if all the coopers married lawmen/women, Tennessee only said she reminded him of someone, so what if that was the woman he married, maybe she was a bounty hunter and finally caught him... TENNESSEE KID IS MY FAVORITE ANCESTOR
Chances are that sucker punch productions originally meant to reveal a lot of things in later games but since Sanzaru now owns the game, it's questionable whether a new Sly Cooper game is ever going to happen. I don't believe that Carmelita was an orphan like Sly but the silhouette of Sly's mother looks very much like Carmelita. Maybe that comment Tennessee Kid Cooper made could've been one of Carmelita's ancestors he came across, who may or may have not desired to become a sheriff and catch crooks like him. Perhaps Carmelita came across in her family tree and saw some of her ancestors were cops and wanted to carry on that, similar to how Sly carried on his family tradition.
My wildest theory is this, Penelope is involved with Clockwerks origin. She hated Sly for ruining Bentleys potential. And do you think Bentley told Penelope all the background to his injury and who or what clockwerk was? Thats unsure, there is a chance, but if Bentley was a bit superficial with his explanation, penelope wouldnt know anything about Clockwerk, so if she goes back in time, she could he the maker of Clockwerks hate chip, or just make all of Clockwerk, that would make an insane time loop. Penelope helps some Owl, Owl turns into clockwerk, clockwerk kills slys dad, and injures bentley, they beat the Owl, and then they meet the creator and Bentley dated the creator of the Machine Owl that injured him, while they dated they made a timemachine, which allows penelope to build Clockwerk. Thats an Insane loop. Imagine in the 5th game the hatred for The cooper Clan comes when WE playing as Sly or another ancestor, beat some Owl boss, and then Penelope shows up after the fight to fix the owl, and uses the hatred as fuel.
Yeah a common time loop I hear floating around. Speaking of which, another ''time loop'' example would be Sly influencing his Egyptian ancestor to start the Thievius Raccoonus. And yeah, we wonder if Bentley ever spoke of Clockwerk while he was dating Penelope.
My personal theory is that Penelope is clockwork. She will be the main bad guy in the 5th game. At the climax of the game they had a big fight scene n some how got Penelope stuck in the past. With such hate she was able to make a hate chip
My Penelope theory is that she wasn't brainwashed she was hypnotized and force-fed the spice drug from Sly 2, hence why she was aggressive in Sly 4 than she was Sly 3 And I think Sly is Slytunkhamen I and he's the one who trains Slytunkhamen II, doesn't mean he stays in Egypt I'm just saying he trains the second and the second takes his name or what he thinks is his name.
Long shot is that Penelope is redeemable and that she is been threaten by a BIG threat than La Paradox. It maybe an ancestor of Clockworth that is threaten her and the gang and this ancestor has time-travel abilities that are the original source for La Paradox. She was coned into doing this and trying to trick the guys into think she was bad. She so deep undercover that no one knows her true side even though deep down Penelope does care about Bentley and the others and wants to keep them safe.
Ancestor, so someone that came before Clockwerk. A descendant wouldn't be possible because Clockwerk never had children or did he before he turned metal? Well Penelope tried killing Sly, I wouldn't take that as a trick. I think she might be working for someone other than Le Paradox, maybe she brought back Clockwerk in secret and made him stronger. NOW that's a story I'd like to see.
Regarding that scene with Tennessee, I think it would be very interesting if perhaps Sly and Carm's ancestors married each other, as weird as it sounds XD I know that some of Sly's female ancestors have been mentioned as raccoons but I think it would be cool if some of them were vixens instead. Then again that could means that Sly and Carm would be related and that would be weird!
I think Penelope could possibly return to the gangs side given she sent Bentley post cards on where she’s going I think she would likely find an artifact in Egypt on which one it is like which era of the three Slytunkhamen since likely there are three of them which could get confusing for the gang to know which timeline in Egypt Sly is in like Slytunkhamen the 1st timeline Slytunkhamen the 2nd timeline or Slytunkhamen the 3rd there has to be a specific artifact to know which Egypt he’s in correct
I think Penelope can be redeemed... I believe she was corrupted, not exactly possessed but corrupted. I believe this corruption originates from clockwork parts... Specifically the clockwork eyes found in Penelopes stage. It would make sense for Bentley to have any surviving parts and if Penelope was vulnerable then it would make sense for her to go off the rails over time... This can also be seen with Nyela after all. She clearly wasn't well and had a similar thought process to the cultists from Dead Space and her almost insane desire to make clockwork whole again. Perhaps all penelope needs is time away from the clockwork eyes.
@@VtnVivi Honestly while it probably seems like a really cheap cop out to say "Penelope is good again because she was brainwashed the whole time" I would love to see this concept really expanded upon... Really making us second guess whole portions of the old games, specifically the second one. Maybe the claw gang wasn't evil, just misguided and misled by the corruption of the clockwork parts.
Great video... you made me wonder why did none of the ancestors except Salim with the 40 Thieves and Sir Galleth with the knights... why didn’t any of the other have a gang or a group? Were they so good at what they did that they didn’t need a team? 🤷♂️
One theory I have is that when sly got in Egypt at the end of sly 4 the blimp actually crashed instead of going to Egypt and put sly in a really bad coma and he’s dreaming cause of all of the time traveling he’s been doing
Time travel needs to be erased from this series. It always leads to convoluted plot twists with inconsistent and disappointing storytelling. Time travel is MESSY. I can’t think of any instance in which it panned out well and made a story better. Is it possible to make another Sly Cooper game ignoring Sly 4 as if it never happened? Chalk it up as a non-canon spin-off story?
I am new to this as this vid is two years ago and wanted to add that at scene 0:44, there is a picture frame on the wall of familiar figures like Camelita and Sly but this was when Sly was a kid and his father got attacked. Is there a relationship between Conner and the previous Inspector Fox before???
#2 dosent really seem to be a theory in any way? 9:23 Carmalita didnt want to admitt to herself that she had feelings for sly until sly4? She spent years married to him at this point.
It might be possible that the Thievius Raccoonus has got updated over time. Many old and big books have actually been updated over the course of history, the Bible is one good example. If Slytunkhamen I was the creator of the book and passed it down to Slytunkhamen II and III and generations after him, then the text would have had to be re-written at some point by someone because Papyrus is not the most effective paper to be used to write in as the ink won't last in it for too long. That's why it was replaced with better quality paper scrolls made by some arabics and muslims that made the Egypts jelly. Having Sly in Egypt re-writing the book to what it is in the current state would be one possible idea for it but, it would create another paradox. So I would suggest that the book got it's current looks few generations before Conner. The pages themselfs might have been re-written by Sly or Bentley after they got all the pages from Fiendish Five unless they were able to recover the book's pages back to it's covers nicely and the pages themselfs didn't suffer much damage when they were rip from the book's cover during that night. But recovering a ripped page back to the book is possible without re-writing the page to a new paper, but that would look ugly. But this might be the case as the book itself doesn't look that consistent with it's pages being tidy packed in it.
Sly writing in the book can cause a paradox absolutely! His ancestors might see his writing, and they'll see it before they met Sly, causing some weird stuff to happen. If not for the book, Sly should write on a wall or something. I believe someone before Connor re-wrote the book since the writing is all the same. We don't even know if Connor wrote anything in the book, maybe that laser move was intended but just didn't find the time?
In the replica I'm making, a cut Cooper from the first game will have rewritten everything from before in English around the 1600s in better print to establish a single language for the book. English is chosen because (it's easiest for me) Sir Galleth revived the tradition of writing in the book
Can anyone explain, why Clockwerk has red eyes at very end of Sly 1 (after credits, the little clip)? Would that be related to Sly 4, where Clockwerk appears also with red eyes (+ immortal body)?
My theory is that everything from the Sly Cooper series is all an hallucination manifested by a mentally ill comatose child. Maybe this child was born into a mafia family. I suppose that during the attack on the REAL child's parents he or she was hurt badly and put into a coma. Maybe that guy riding the horse from that movie in Sly 4 is the child's REAL grandfather. If there is any other mention of a human, it is from the comatose child's memories. I dont think Sly 4 is the first time a human is seen. If I remember correctly Sly 2 has a portrait of a human and one of the bosses mentions humans. However, all of the animals in the Sly games are from the mind of the child remembering people from when he or she was not in a coma. Perhaps before the child was placed into a coma he or she remembered being fond of raccoons, turtles, and hippos. And thus Sly, Bentley, and Murray are coping mechanisms for the child. Also I theorize that before the child's injury he or she remembered visiting the Zoo. As with pretty much every child the comatose child's mind was full of imagination and curiosity before the injury. The comatose child misses his or her family and friends. However, he or she is full of fear of the mafia members that murdered his or her parents. Due to the traumatizing events before the coma the child had become mentally ill. So during the coma his or her mind has given animal form to all the people from his or her life. Lastly, at least for me my theory is backed by the fact that a great deal of the entire story of the Sly Cooper series does touch upon family, friends, and mysterious enemies especially Sly 1.
6:48 What if Penelope holds in her hands hate chi...ok ok...if you guys readed my theory comic in amino you know what I'm talking about, but I just noticed that :O

0:00 - You uploaded this video late yesterday ... or early today wherever you live. :/ 0:17 - Sounded like you had trouble thinking of the right words. 1:11 - No actually I'd agree, this really isn't what he looks like to me. :P 1:34 - Maybe? :/ 2:42 - That might be it? I don't really know. :/ 2:49 - Sound's almost like you want the exact opposite. ;) 3:01 - I don't know that show. :P 3:53 - Personally I'd think that the Coopers besides Connor had dies of old age but that's just me. :P 4:18 - That could be true but what if Connor had remarried just after Sly's birth at some point? It could help support the theory I had on why Sly's relationship with his actual mother wasn't healthy. 5:13 - Well Salim had his group of the 40 thieves and Sir Galleth was the founder of the Cooper order, also Rioichi had his Shark friend who was loyal to the Cooper clan up to the end. And Caveman Cooper who had his tribe but he was around before the Thievius Raccoonus so there you go. 5:46 - Oh yeah! That sounds like TGX's rewrite on the intro sequence of the 3rd game exactly how you would describe it but with Connor and his crew on a heist until Dr. M tries to steal the goal for himself and because he and Connor were arguing too much it ended up having McSweeney arrested. 6:05 - I know who you are. :) 6:36 - So much in fact that some people hate it. :/ 7:07 - I personally say yes. 7:46 - Maybe have it so that she was blackmailed in the 4th game to keep the Cooper gang away, that's one way to redeem her. 7:56 - Can you explain? 8:10 - They've both had a crush on each other since they first met. XD 9:06 - Or just likes to watch her sleep like he did in the 2nd comic! XD 9:48 - Unless that was how he planned to meet her in Paris?! :O 10:32 - Interesting. :/ 10:48 - Just pretending; I can imagine that, it would help fuel his hatred or something like that. :P 11:26 - I honestly won't mind hearing that voice again if the another game does happen but I personally liked her voice in the 3rd game. :) 12:10 - Which makes it an issue that this game takes place in an unspecified amount of time after the 3rd game because who knows? It could've been a week, a month or a year at the very least and yet Sly now wants back out of what he had wanted in the end of the 3rd game. 12:35 - Thanks for wording it all correctly! XD 13:10 - To me; sounds like a motive Clockwerk had but terrible. :/ 14:06 - Wait, what?? :/ :/ :/ 14:27 - An reaction to an action in other words. 15:28 - Wait, did that video came before or after? 15:50 - Honestly, I think it was just a mistake that Sanzaru Games had made back then. :P 16:31 - Maybe Sly can use that to get through to Bentley. 17:27 - I personally feel that they might have to split in order for each other's destinies to be fulfilled, Sly marries someone else who is into thievery and Carmelita someone who is part of the law, but that's just my opinion. 18:03 - Maybe Clockwerk's hatred had manifested in Sly and that's how they came up with that image of him being "dark". 18:38 - Or it was just all destined to happen anyway? 19:17 - I'll be there! ;) 19:34 - Always happy to watch. :)
Ahhh good points with the 40 thieves and the shark! True they did have partners, but they weren't mentioned in the book maybe, that's where this question rises. Talking about Sanzaru's mistake, it's arguable. Sly did steal a stamp from a museum I think during the Sly 2 animated short. But a that diamond was a huge deal.
If she was possessed sly Murray,Bentley, and carmlitieta would be dead Btw can't change the future If you do congrats you punched Father Time square in the face #butterflyeffecit
@@VtnVivi I like how the game itself looks, it's the animated cutscenes that look worse in my opinion. The color pallet and lighting in the pictures just looks dull in comparison.
More importantly how could Clockwerk fit in Sly’s house? 🤔

Yes! They need to pay close attention to the right artefact.
I dunno, at this point do we want to know sly's parents ? i mean not knowing its kinda the point
If anything, Sly might accidentally end up in that timeline. Other than that, a prequel would answer these questions.

Damn, they swear in these comics? Now I'm definitely intrigued.
Yep they do :P Tier 2 I'd say.
Wait how could they get a picture in ancient Egypt cameras weren't invented unless time travel
Interesting eh?
I thought it was a painting
This isn't a question, but they need to make a sly 5
Agreed :P
Listen up all the parts from the blimp Clock werk took and turned himself into metal
Not too crazy :)
WAIT WHERE SO YOU SEE SLYS FATHER I SLY 4??
that crazy vivi I don't know where to start
:P
I want penelope to stay a villan
If she does, they need a good reason.
Why not feature this guy, this guy is pretty cool
:D
Do one about his son
do you think the cooper gang (including carmelita) can resemble the fated four from monster hunter
Not too familiar with Monster Hunter ;)
I got a theory, why are all of sly's ancestors raccons.
The biggest mystery of them all!
@@VtnVivi I'm sure you can solve that mystery 😎
Yes i think so
great video on theories . as usual vivi. i love them.
Thanks mate!
I'm kind of biased because I hate Penelope for what she did in 4, but I don't think she's redeemable.
I feel like she's going to regret everything, meaning she will be a villain until that point.
Interesting. I sort of felt like she doesn't feel any remorse for what she did. I think she will end up like Neyla.
Very nice detailed video
Thank you!
VTNVIVI : your welcome hey do remember me I used to be radiyah klass
8:32 the elephants mom OMG
Decibel's mom you mean? Huh?
Yes
@@VtnVivi it's so crazy how I see this 3 months later

Just looks like a motherboard to me :P
I freakin love you
Aww :P

Bruce??
Amazing video VTNVIVI
Penelope is not redeemable
Is Conner sly dad's name
Yes :) This was mentioned in the Official Collection's guide.
What is mulasotys accent
Portuguese.
That’s the first time I’ve heard you swear, and it’s actress, not actor, “actor” is the male version, “actress” is female version.
+LikeABossDude "Actor" is gender neutral, it can be used for both women and men. Where do I swear exactly? Did it come out accidentally? Haha. I don't remember swearing.
VTNVIVI You said “pissed off”
+LikeABossDude Meh not really a cuss word.
Really sly 5 go be on ps4 if they make if not if ps 5 that’s ok 👌 just play some eals like ratchet and clank again
0:00 - You uploaded this video late yesterday ... or early today wherever you live. :/
0:17 - Sounded like you had trouble thinking of the right words.
1:11 - No actually I'd agree, this really isn't what he looks like to me. :P
1:34 - Maybe? :/
2:42 - That might be it? I don't really know. :/
2:49 - Sound's almost like you want the exact opposite. ;)
3:01 - I don't know that show. :P
3:53 - Personally I'd think that the Coopers besides Connor had dies of old age but that's just me. :P
4:18 - That could be true but what if Connor had remarried just after Sly's birth at some point?
6:36 - So much in fact that some people hate it. :/
7:07 - I personally say yes.
7:46 - Maybe have it so that she was blackmailed in the 4th game to keep the Cooper gang away, that's one way to redeem her.
7:56 - Can you explain?
8:10 - They've both had a crush on each other since they first met. XD
9:06 - Or just likes to watch her sleep like he did in the 2nd comic! XD
9:48 - Unless that was how he planned to meet her in Paris?! :O
10:32 - Interesting. :/
10:48 - Just pretending; I can imagine that, it would help fuel his hatred or something like that. :P
11:26 - I honestly won't mind hearing that voice again if the another game does happen but I personally liked her voice in the 3rd game. :)
12:10 - Which makes it an issue that this game takes place in an unspecified amount of time after the 3rd game because who knows? It could've been a week, a month or a year at the very least and yet Sly now wants back out of what he had wanted in the end of the 3rd game.
12:35 - Thanks for wording it all correctly! XD
13:10 - To me; sounds like a motive Clockwerk had but terrible. :/
14:06 - Wait, what?? :/ :/ :/
14:27 - An reaction to an action in other words.
15:28 - Wait, did that video came before or after?
15:50 - Honestly, I think it was just a mistake that Sanzaru Games had made back then. :P
16:31 - Maybe Sly can use that to get through to Bentley.
19:17 - I'll be there! ;)
19:34 - Always happy to watch.
If she was possessed sly Murray,Bentley, and carmlitieta would be dead
Btw can't change the future If you do congrats you punched Father Time square in the face #butterflyeffecit
1:03 simple answer to that, Sly is just a fan of Happy tree friends.
These theories are really far out there😅😬
The art style of the 4th game looks so bad compared to the first 3 games.
I disagree.
@@VtnVivi I like how the game itself looks, it's the animated cutscenes that look worse in my opinion. The color pallet and lighting in the pictures just looks dull in comparison.
Hey Vivi, did you get the email that I've sent you?
My cooper DNA theory concept email?
Hmm... I don't think so.
VTNVIVI so my gmail sending is flawed?
