  • Much has already been said about her. The curiosity and success of this motorbike on paper are certainly due to the price, aesthetics and components. But the small displacement and the "new" brand now still create some questions among enthusiasts.
We tried to understand all aspects of this bike by putting it to the test. To date it has been presented and tested mainly off-road where we have seen it be a good companion for excursions. But how does it behave in 360° use? Maybe starting from home for a journey of over 1,000 km where you face motorways, mixed roads and off-road? Add to this the load of luggage and intensive use of at least 8 hours a day on the motorbike. Where? At the Sardinia Legend Rally 2024!
We explain it to you in this video where we will really show you everything about this bike.

what I don't get, is all these smaller CC bikes, everyone seems to say they are great beginner bikes.....Why? It is so rare to see any ADV bike 500cc and smaller referred to as a great bike for experienced riders too. I have ridden to 40 years now. And I want this bike because I am only 5 foot 8 inches tall. 30 inch inseam. every ADV bike, every dual sport bike i have to lower to even put 1 toe down. I want something I can put at least 1 foot all the way down without lowering the bike, so far this is the only one besides the ones I don't even look at like that Himalayan .

Hi @drzrider3440. Indeed, this bike and its saddle fits well for riders around 5.5 feet (170 cm). However, for riders over 6 feet (180 cm) it becomes a bit too low for off-roading. We talk about this at minute 04:51

The choice of this motorbike must be evaluated only if those who buy it are happy with these performances. Because otherwise it is good for both beginners and expert pilots.

Some elitists have popularized the notion that anything that can't kill you or anything that doesn't need a bunch of electronics to be tamed for easier use, is not a real man's bike, but a beginner bike. And i dislike that notion as well, it takes skill to get the most out of off road worthy bikes at any size, i own a Versys x300 and i think many new riders would actually crash in it because it's kinda heavy for actual beginners, yes, it is a very forgiving machine, but it's still heavy ish to lift, and you can do stupid things on it.

Thank you for the good description of the engine and its performance on the combined terrain. I and many others are also waiting to see what KTM will do with the 390 adv R and the enduro 2025 model. If I understand correctly they will be in the same league

Absolutely outstanding video while covering important parameters of this new machine..the best review I have seen to date! I have pre-ordered this bike in the US and very much looking forward to off road adventure while still having reasonable on road capability. I think at 6'1" I will need the tall seat option , perhaps a taller windscreen to avoid buffering at helmet height, stouter skid plate (I have hit some rocks in the past) and I need crash bars for the eventual dirt naps.
Some reviews have complained about snatchy/overly abrupt low speed throttle input...can you please comment on your experience with this? And any other modifications you would recommend?
Again, very well done video..fun to watch and explore Sardinia with you guys. Definitely signed up to your channel.

      hi @normananderson2583.
Thank you for the kind words you reserved for us.
As regards the on-off of the accelerator, I'll answer you like this.
Many talked about this problem, especially during the press presentation of the bike. During the test in Sardinia we NEVER encountered this problem. I was very doubtful because I didn't understand why if everyone had talked about it I didn't find it. So I called whoever prepared the bike for me and asked him to tell me the truth about it: "have you modified anything on the bike?". The answer was "no". I can tell you that I trust this person a lot so I have no doubts about it.
Then I got an idea of why I didn't feel this on-off and others did. My riding style and different routes. I tend to keep the bike in a higher gear and therefore lower revs. This combined with smoother and less bumpy routes on the road made it all happen. In the Philippines where they tested the motorcycle, the asphalt roads were obscene. In Sardinia they are wonderful. The engine does not need to be pulled despite the low performance and small displacement. So I, riding with more undertorque, felt a bike that NEVER had an annoying on-off.
Also because I'm surprised by those who say that if you open and close the accelerator you have an on-off... it seems logical to me. Open + close = on + off.
      Thanks again. keep following us!

What do you believe is a good touring spped? 110kmh or below it?

    • @emiliolunassi9721
      @emiliolunassi9721 16 дней назад +1

In our opinion, 120 KM/H is the ideal speed. But you can go at 130 km/h without problems. Also because at 130 km/h if you accelerate to overtake the engine still pushes well.
Maximum speed recorded by us 170 km/h indicated on the display. Then due to the offroad tires the front end swayed too much and we closed the throttle.
