You have delivered a really excellent review. Thanks. I'm so glad you mentioned the on-road capabilities. Not to mention commuting etc. (I'm in Australia) The CFMoto website describes the 450MT as “versatile adventure touring motorcycle”. So it is not really a rally bike. I think it is so important for safety that an AV bike is capable and reliable when around road traffic. Spilling the bike amongst traffic, or having a collision is the biggest hazard for riders. I need to know 'Is it too Twitchy?' on twisties. I'm in Australia where there are long distances on tarmac between destinations. I'm so glad you also talked about what the bike is like getting around on real world obstacles that a rider might come across when out exploring. @@lawrieyoutube4375 I agree when I did the Adventure Bike thing I wished I had a dirt bike so I could go off road. @@lawrieyoutube4375 it’s the hardest thing - like everyone else I spend most of my time on road so I buy a bigger bike with better road manners which is almost impossible to ride off road and two big expensive and heavy to make mistakes on. @@kevinarmstrong478 Hi, Since my post I bought the MT. You are right, t is a fairly big boned bike and a proper adventurer size. The motor is pretty peppy but still running in so I haven't been able to give it the full beans yet. You are right, it's not a small bike. Sort of a lightweight Tenere I would say. But will handle anything I think. The worst thing so far is a very snatchy throttle at low revs, which makes riding in heavy traffic a bit of a pain having to slip the clutch all the time in 1st and 2nd. The tech and electronics are excellent. Happy riding.
Been to the recent Makina Motoshow 2024 at SMX and have tried saddling both bikes. The new Hima is very Top Heavy compared to the MT450 and I have observed this with others who have tried saddling the bikes as well. Given it's an adventure bike, I'm surprised no-one has actually asked CF Moto what the alternator output is. Pretty useful to know for running heated gear, and running accessories.
REs have proven reliability. I will wait to see you or anyone do a long term review. On paper CF is better. BTW, I watched on YT where the Indians convert the tires to tubeless for $15. The tires come tubeless compatible. Twin cyclinder on a 450 is the game changer.
the largest fuel capacity in the class is the Rieju aventura 500 - that has enough capacity to do 1000km, it is also a supremely well specced machine - heavier than the 450 mt of course
Great review! I hope the 450MT does well and eventually comes to Canada. Hopefully it will do better than their 650 Adventura which has been pulled off the market (apparently for engine problems). The only IBEX they offer in Canada currently is the 800cc model, which is too tall and heavy for many riders.
@@juanicofernandez sure. I am not saying it's better or worst. Just saying about the weight. If you add protection and central stand probably it will weight the same or more
From the reviews and overviews so far, the Himalayan seems like the better bike for slower speed road work and off road riding. So far re the 450MT I've heard som reviews talking about harsh suspension, poor brake feel, jerky throttle. All things that have been praised on the Himalayan. You do get a lot more for your money with CF Motos. An extra cylinder for one, but more adjustable suspension, folding gear lever, adjustable levers, USBC output, and better dash. So it's a bit 6 of one and half a dozen of another.
@@defylifeadventure yes i read a lot of reviews, and like you said RE seem an easy and well balanced bike with really confortable suspension. I own a Versys x300, with about 90.000 km, i had never done a thorough wash to the rear shock, thing is, the rear shock was getting stuck down low, i thought it was done, i was about to replace it but i wanted to check it out, i asked my nephew for help and we took it apart, the spring was full of dry mud, so i scraped it and washed it with kerosene, we put it back just to stand on the foot pegs and well, the bike did bounce back up as normal after that. After all of this, my point is, the CFMoto 450MT comes with adjustable front and rear suspension, and they're great quality too, KYB suspension is quite a greta suspension, so they're putting expensive parts on this bike, the suspension, the tubeless spoked rims, the switchable ABS with perpetual front ABS, those are features that cost quite a bit of money all together, and this bike is barely about 1.000 USD more expensive than the Versys x300 in my country, in fact, Honda just released the Honda Saharah 300, which is a dressed up XRE 300, single cyl, no windshield, 18/21 rims, for almost 9.000 USD in Costa Rica, the Versys x300 is 8.600 USD, less expensive than a shitty single cyl! And this bike will be just shy off 10.000 USD here too, this is too much bike for the money, and i still feel they should have priced it a bit lower, because their 700cc bikes cost 9.000$ and 10.000$, same as this 450. But again! A good quality, adjustable rear shock is about 800$ or more!
I have no question with the specs of this bike because I really like it since I saw it launched in Europe, but the future problem is that the availability of service centers in the provinces and availability of its spare parts. When I asked the sellers of the CF regarding the service centers available, they can't give me the best answer.
What really concern me about these Chinese bikes is the fact that they push bikes into the market and then they disappear and the poor new owners sit with a product that's gone off the market, battle to get spares and can't sell because no one wants to by it for the above reasons. About 2 years ago, some Chinese Dakar rider came up with a similar bike and threaten to put Honda and KTM out of business. Never heard of that bike again.

Leave the bike the same, but put Husqvarna branding and a badge in it, increase the price 1.200 USD and boom!! All motorcycle digital magazine reviewers will love it and put it as "The unicorn that the rest of the market refuses to make". After all, besides the CF Moto letters, it looks like a Husqvarna in its green and grey color scheme.
The Himalayan will last a decade and beyond but CFMoto is known for low quality bikes as is with Chinese craftsmanship and cunning marketing gimmicks. I’d go with the Himalayan any day. In India, nobody buys CFMotos.
Interesting opinion. As consumers we want the best product which will last a long time, so I share your concern! Very much a valid concern as well. However recently they have proven themselves with considerable change. Why not CFmoto?

no contest
@@juanicofernandez In favour of the CFMoto?

Depends on your needs.
5'6 tip toe?
450MT sells for $4,360 in China🥺🥺
Why japaneses would never build a bike like that ?
Because if they really wanted tol, then it should’ve been already out ages ago
what do you mean my brother????they do ofc
this bike is a copy paste of yamaha tenere lmao
The himalayan is not "better" than the japanese alternatives...it is just cheaper. Don't confuse the two.
KTM with Chinese wisdom, 😊
You did not appear to compare how it rides, how it brakes, the throttle response, it's weight/feel, against the Himalayan 450. I know you attended this all expenses paid junket by CF Moto but we really want you to be up-front and honest on the comparison as a rider riding the bikes, not just the specs of what's on paper.
Where is the honda nx500 in this argument,!??
NX is great bike but typical onroad, for small guys.
@@podunkman2709 Is not the CFmoto 450MT for small guys, too!?? But it not about big, or small, guys, as both bikes will accommodate most people. It is about how they compete in performance, capability, quality, and, ultimately, price.
@@podunkman2709 what do you mean small guys dude??height???
There is a way to make this bike perfect and shut the mouths of every bigger YT reviewer.
They are also the same exact people who worship street-only bikes that are re-badged as "adventure bikes" based on the brand name.
For Philippine terrain, it's better to have a lighter 400cc adv bike. No brainer.
yes but guess what my dude there are more than 220 countries out there.cf moto dont producing products only for phillippine
Is it Japanese or super high quality Chinese 😂😂😂
This is no all around bike as it's only 450cc. Can't get a relax and comfort driving on highway. Too weak.
Riding a lot on highway's? Just chose a bike that fit's better for you.
As an Indian i like this cf450 more than overrated re himalayan
Tatte chaat liye to wapis aaja India. 😂😂
The Himalayan will last a decade and beyond but CFMoto is known for low quality bikes as is with Chinese craftsmanship and cunning marketing gimmicks. I’d go with the Himalayan any day. In India, nobody buys CFMotos.
that is your heart speaking not mind nor knowledge
indian only buy redmi, vivo & oppo
Interesting opinion. As consumers we want the best product which will last a long time, so I share your concern! Very much a valid concern as well. However I invite you to consider: people said the exact same thing about the royal Enfield. And before recently they were right. The bikes were cheaply made and overall bad motorcycles. However recently they have proven themselves with considerable change. Why not CFmoto?
Sorry, but quality of CFmoto 450 is better than RE himalayan 450
@@katasiapa7645 Total cap dude 😂
450cc is siply not enough - this bike will be terribly weak. 500cc (real one not 470) would be an option.
Beside of that this is china construction - I do not trust quality.
450 cc is not enough and 500 is a option.seriously dude???both are weak.but this bike is for dirty paths.you are more than ok with 45 hp unless you think that you are enduro pro
Low quality Chinese bikes go bad in the 3rd year no matter the maintenance! All CFMoto bikes have a ton of quality issues. Beware!
Really?
like what dude??
This bike is too heavy for a 450 ccm. 175kg dry weight + 17,5 liter fuel.
Perhaps you'd prefer the Kove 800 given the better power to weight ratio.
There is a spare parts problem for CF Moto in Türkiye
turkey is a problematic country anyway,i dont surprising at all.
I just have Chinese trust issues, sooooo, nah.
personally i dont trust anyone, even honda .i had many issues with honda at past .i prefer to give my money to the chinese because we must panish the japanese brands which they raise the prices every year.the same model 400 euros plus every year with zero upgrades only the colours.nobody asked me tho if i got 400 euros plus to my salary each year...
The best video and şharp pictures and again more information ı have ever seen.....Thanks God some one tolks about it a top speed to Cf 450 mt... ..🐈🐶🦝🦔👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️ Thank you. dude...
