Thank you! Campsites we used: Uthlid, Hamragarðar, Vík Tjaldsvæði, Egilsstaðir Campsite, Budardalur. We didn't prebook. Just appeared there. In the morning we had good breakfast (omelet, or granola). During the day mostly snacks (sandwiches, energy bars, bananas) and in the evening good dinner. Maybe pasta or burgers and salad. We enjoyed every aspect of this trip.

I watched a lot of your movies, they are really good. Great drone shots, Dji FPV better than mavic? What kind of backpack do you use for equipment?
Thank you so much. Hope you like my next Iceland video too in a few days :) I got FPV for specific shots. So far used it only in Iceland. Hopefully will learn better acro mode. The bag is K&F Concept. The one i have in Iceland. Fits everything in and is very comfy.

Ευχαριστώ πολύ! Χαίρομαι αν σε βοήθησε. Ειλικρινά δεν ξέρω. Σίγουρα ο καιρός θα είναι πιο απρόβλεπτος και θα έχει περισσότερο χιόνι. Οκτώβριο πρόλαβα πριν πιάσουν τα πολλά και ήμουν άνετος με την οδήγηση. Αλλά θα είναι μαγικά. Θα σου αρέσει πολύ.

It was very good actually. Shorter days than summer for sure but not very cold.

Hey guys! Did you take the car with the Overnight Heater? Is it really necessary in the first week of october?
Yes and yes! I dont think i would sleep well without it. Even with the heater on for hours, still needed to wear a light jacket and wrap ourselves in the sleeping bags. Maybe it was cold October nights for us. But from what i saw, can't imagine warm October nights. 😁

Ευχαριστώ πολύ! Μας άρεσε ο Οκτώβριος. Είναι καλός μήνας από καιρό και οι τιμές είναι πολύ κάτω σε σχέση με το "καλοκαίρι". Φαίνεται και το Βόρειο Σέλας, κάτι που όμως εμείς δεν είδαμε τελικά. Από τη μία οι χαμηλότερες τιμές, πιθανότητα για Βόρειο Σέλας και ο πολύ λιγότερος κόσμος. Από την άλλη ο καλύτερος καιρός και μεγαλύτερες μέρες. Και οι δύο επιλογές έχουν τα + και τα - τους. :)
@@THATGREEKGUY_ Μαλιστα. Και όσο ήσασταν στο δρόμο με το βανάκι που φόρτιζες τις μπαταρίες από κάμερες και drone?
@@InOutTechs ήθελα να σου γράψω πριν και το ξέχασα... Για όλα (mini2, κάμερα και GoPro) είχαμε διπλό ανταπτορα στον αναπτήρα. Για το fpv πήρα έξτρα το inverter το οποίο είχε μια έξτρα έξοδο USB.

Thank you. Yes we brought some in a checked bag. There is a limit in the weight of food i think that you can bring in the country (10kg? Not sure), but we didn't reach it.

Thanks so much, this is very helpful. The two of us are planning a 6 day trip this October as well and may follow first 5 days of your itinerary pretty much to the point. Then turn around after Dettifoss and start driving back to Reykjavik via Akureyri. Did you happen to see Northern lights? If yes, did you have to go anywhere to see them or saw them simply on one of your drives? Are there hotels around the camper sites you mentioned? We plan to rent a regular car as we have never driven a camper in our lives and not sure if Iceland would be the safe first place to try it!:( I would also appreciate any other tips and pointers specifically for October travel! Thanks again for your time and help:)
Thank you for your comment! First you have to make sure that it is a very compact itinerary and be sure it's what you like. Also keep a plan B. Weather is unpredictable and you might miss something along the way because of it. Northern lights, no.... We were not lucky to see them once. Sky was almost every night overcast unfortunately. For sure there were hotels nearby the camp sites. Especially those that were in cities. But check first before you count on them. Although i would say it's no big deal to drive a small camper. Makes things easier and you are more flexible with where you will end up staying. Hope it helps. You will enjoy Icelend!
@@THATGREEKGUY_ Thanks so much for responding. So far I have found some cost friendly hostel type options. Could not convince ourselves for camper van lol. Planning to halt 1 night in Vik, 2 in Hofn, 1 in Selfoss and last 2 in Rekjavik. Start the road trip right away as we land at 6am and do the golden circle on the second last day. Please send any more tips or pointers you may have, I would very much appreciate any guidance. Hopefully we will get a glimpse of northern lights!!!! Thanks again:)
@@preetihirave820 i don't have it fresh in my mind, but i think Vik is too far to spend the first night. too many thing to see before you get there. Not sure one day will be enough. But could be wrong. You have a great plan. Just be flexible if you have to change things because of weather. You will have a blast!
@@THATGREEKGUY_ Thanks again, will doublecheck the distances and make necessary adjustments or whatever we don't end up seeing on the way out, that can be covered on our way back as we will betaking same route and not doing the whole loop. Weather is my concern too, just hoping for the best....thank you!
@@preetihirave820 double check also the way back. From north (doing the whole loop) is much faster if you reach Dettifoss, compared to coming back from Hofn, Vik, etc.

Καλησπέρα φίλε ,Υπέροχο βίντεο !! Του χρόνου τον οκτώβρη θα ταξιδέψω και εγώ για το ring road , αυτό που ήθελα να σε ρωτήσω είναι ποιές ημερομηνίες πήγατε του Οκτώβρη γιατι ευελπιστουσα πως δεν θα ειχε χιονι
Σε ευχαριστώ πολύ! Έτσι πίστευα και εγώ αλλά μας είπαν όταν φτάσαμε ότι είχε ρίξει τις προηγούμενες 3 μέρες αναπάντεχα. Βασικά μόνο από δυτικά μέχρι βόρεια είχε όπως κάναμε τον κύκλο αριστερόστροφα. Συνήθως Οκτώβριο δεν έχει. Θα περάσεις τέλεια!

It is No drone zone in National parks, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss and plenty of other places which are in your video taken by drone... Moreover walking on the moss is also totally No go in Iceland.. Did you buy permissions to drone in all those areas where other dronist cannot drone?
