@@emersonmartins3717 Emerson, Madeira is not too expensive. If you travel off season is cheaper. Madeira has low budget places to stay. Food and transportation are very reasonable. Air fare tend to be expensive from Brazil to Portugal but your country has other airlines that fly to Portugal, Spain and other countries and then connect a flight to Funchal, Madeira island. You can do it if you try to save a certain amount every week/month. Check Portugal na Lata (Brazilian guy living in Porto (Portugal). He has great info. Madeira Awaits. Be Curious. Thank you Marcello! We got the car from Bravacar. For that price i would recommend any car. But it was some kind of crazy offer or a glitch of the platform. Not sure it will happen again. Regarding the rental office there was no complain. They picked us up and dropped us off without a problem and the car was in a good condition. I think if you find a good house in Funchal it's a good idea to stay there. Everything is close. I would do the same if i visited Madeira again.

Great video - I just spent 10 days there and did many of the things on your list - fruit market in Madeira is very expensive though, bit of a tourist trap in my opinion

@@luisvasconcelos1053 it was just before. There were still no measures, no restrictions, no masks. I remember it started about a month after we came back. We were very lucky with that price.
Thanks to this video I think we will plan a holiday in Madeira. It's gorgeous, especially since it's also a mountain where we can go hiking. I also recommend the island of Tenerife, which has a lot to offer, from landscapes to cities, mountains up to 3800m. It's a dream like any Canary Island. And it's like cheap Madeira, from apartment rentals to car rentals.

@@schopen-hauer yes i'm Greek. In a nutshell i would say Greek islands are more for summer and beach. Crete, the biggest islands (and where i live) just now starts to extend the tourist season beyond the usual April to October period. While Madeira is all year round and beaches are not the main attraction. Both islands offer impressive hikes.

Hi, you have produced a brilliant video, informative and soooooo professional, well done 👍. I have just been to Madeira for 8 nights and watched your video before going, whilst there and since returning. It gave us all the itinerary tips we needed. We were not so blessed with clear weather and much of the time the high picos were shrouded in low cloud; Pico Areeiero diagonal rain too for our visit and rain all the way up from Funchal, visibility maybe 30 meters at the top, nobody out walking!!. There is a webcam site and I should have checked first, and the forecast. Lower down it was OK though varied greatly at different points around the island, and we drove around and across the whole island. Hire car: as mentioned by previous contributors you got an exceptional deal. After serious haggling the cheapest I got was 60€ a day ☹. I will return for the walks and fantastic scenery. I also recommend the island of Tenerife, which has a lot to offer, from landscapes to cities, mountains up to 3800m. It's a dream like any Canary Island. And it's like cheap Madeira, from apartment rentals to car rentals.

Fantastic video!! I‘m going to visit Madeira in July and I have a question.. Is it really necessary to wear hiking shoes for the walks or are normal running shoes also ok?

@@schopen-hauer yes i'm Greek. In a nutshell i would say Greek islands are more for summer and beach. Crete, the biggest islands (and where i live) just now starts to extend the tourist season beyond the usual April to October period. While Madeira is all year round and beaches are not the main attraction. Both islands offer impressive hikes.

Hi, you have produced a brilliant video, informative and soooooo professional, well done 👍. I have just been to Madeira for 8 nights and watched your video before going, whilst there and since returning. It gave us all the itinerary tips we needed. We were not so blessed with clear weather and much of the time the high picos were shrouded in low cloud; Pico Areeiero diagonal rain too for our visit and rain all the way up from Funchal, visibility maybe 30 meters at the top, nobody out walking!!. There is a webcam site and I should have checked first, and the forecast. Lower down it was OK though varied greatly at different points around the island, and we drove around and across the whole island. Hire car: as mentioned by previous contributors you got an exceptional deal. After serious haggling the cheapest I got was 60€ a day ☹. I will return for the walks and fantastic scenery.
