Hey, amazing footage. But the title is wrong, Madeira isnt know as the Hawaii of Europe, never in my life i heard that and i live here . It is know as the Atlantic Pearl as long as i remember. More or less , the place in Portugal that actually look closer to Hawaii, would be Azores Islands, not Madeira islands. Have fun

The main reason I included it is I watched a RUclips who was from Hawaii and she made the comparison herself and said often she would feel like certain views were just like Hawaii. So that was enough for me. But I hear your point.

Another great video! I love the idea of renting a Smart - I had one for 10 years. We visited Madeira back in the late 80s. Stayed at the Casino Park. It was the week before Christmas and warm enough to swim in the gorgeous outdoor pool! We met Roy Barraclough in the bar. When he discovered that I wasn't feeling well, he bought me a Fernet-Branca, telling me it would settle my stomach. How thoughtful. A nice memory. :)

Great video… I was born in Portugal but my family moved to the USA in the mid seventies. I’ve been back a few times but haven’t been to Madeira. Planning on a family trip in early 2025. So looking forward to it. I Love my Country and humble people.

I love madeira. People are so friendly. We did the Risco and Lafonte 25 hike and it is not for the tainted heart. You have to be in pretty good shape to hike around 2000 feet elevation and staircases. It was amazing

A tip for 25Fontes. Get started early. We got picked up at our hotel in Funchal at 6.00 and we were alone at the waterfall. We passed hundreds on the way back.

My family goes back over 400 years in Madeira, Portugal, and after seeing the island in person, I'm convinced they were part mountain goat! The steep and narrow roads, and steep and narrow walkways, make it difficult to get around. It's nothing like Hawaii. (Mrs.Rugby)
Ditto on that distinction. Hawaii it's not - for those of us who have lived in both places. Yes, both are islands, but that's where the similarities end for many, many reasons. Video is nice. However to all who view - best be informed, visiting for four days is not the same as living here. And any comparison to Hawaii is a dangerous stretch as an argument. If only . . . and I'll leave it at that

@@selinameghan9576hi it predicted it would be about 15c but it was actually a lot warmer about 24-25c when we were there. Apart from in the mountains when hiking. The weather is changeable so definitely take layers. The hikes are breathtaking.
Very impressed with the quality of narration and great iphone camera & drone control! I been to most Islands in Hawaii, but this location looks very unspoilt and not effected by low key tourism. Can't wait to see the next episode and look forward to more adventures😀🤟

Milan is not very nice so wouldn't recommend there
How about Rome and then down to Sicily. Beautiful island with great Greek ruins in Agrigento. You can get the train there from mainland Italy.

Careful if you visit the gardens...I would advise you not to touch the plants ( like I did) because I got bitten and needed medical attention!
