      Most likely the Agapanthus will be a bluish purple. The nice thing about agapanthus is the blooms last a long time. Usually in So Cal they bloom on Memorial weekend but I suspect they are blooming late due to the hard long winter this year. Remember to let the stalks of the blossoms dry up before cutting them. Have no idea but every gardener I’ve ever had has said don’t cut off the stems until they dry up a bit more”. Something about their blooming for next year. Agapanthus are always a hearty addition to any garden in So Cal - easy to care for, nice looking plant, pretty when blooming and it’s pretty hard to kill them lol. FYI be proud and feel good about how much you’ve accomplished. It’s hard to realize how much you are accomplishing when your up to your eyebrows in projects. Stretch out that arm and pat yourself on the back - you done good girl!

    A former florist here. You should actually use room temp water and place the roses directly into it as fast as you can after cutting. The stems start sucking air as soon as they are cut. Super cold water will shock them, they grow/thrive in warm conditions. After roses “process”/drink the room temp water for at the very least an hour they are placed in a cooler at a flower shop to keep them longer. Also keeping them out of direct sunlight will help them last longer. Never use scissors use a sharp knife or pruners. Scissors pinch the stem and prevent them from taking water up into the stems and cause head drop.

I loved your sweet vibe and energy, there was just something about watching your Sunday DIY videos I enjoyed, so I subscribed, now years later I look back and am amazed how much you have not only grown, but evolved, and taken us along with you. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication, you have inspired me on countless time and my family know when MaCenna is on not to bother me, sometimes when I would find myself in a tough spot I would ask "what would MaCenna do?"" Macenna is my favourite RUclips channel to watch. She’s so inspiring and genuine and kicks ass when it comes to making her dreams come true and doing it herself. I am truly pleased with every thing she has achieved, it’s so good to see hard work pay off for people who really seem to deserve it. This also extends to the whole calm, dreamlike quality of the channel. I am sure Macenna’s life isn’t perfect, not all the time but just watching her eat healthily, take care of herself and her loved ones and home, eco friendly living, go on trips etc is really beautiful to watch. Am I living vicariously through her? Sometimes. Well done Macenna, you should be proud of everything you’ve achieved.

      You have accomplished more in the last 2 years than most people will in their entire lifetime! Whatever you put your mind to you will get it done! It just amazes me what you did to the cottage in Texas. It is a totally different home. I can see you there but I see you more so in Los Angeles. You come alive when you are in LA. I like the cottage and I am a small town girl, but I absolutely love the LA home. It has that 1937 era. You can just feel it. The gardens and the pool area are breathtaking. You could transform it into a beautiful Tuscan backyard.
      McCenna I am half your age and I just want to tell you to just take time to stop and to literally smell the roses in life. It goes so fast young woman and those days turn into years before you know it! I haven't watched the vlog yet but I feel compelled to express my gratitude to you. Today has been such a treat with the podcast episode and then this vlog (which I know will be a pleasure to watch as always) As a hardworking 18 year old student with a fair share of financial worries I'd, for the longest time I could not bring myself to admit it, but I'd given up on even trying on getting into university and being able to sustain it financially for what's essentially half a decade. But hearing your story today of always choosing and being determined to look on the bright side just made something shift. That was enough to get me to fill multiple applications today and looking ahead once again, after so long of avoiding to out of a feeling or despair and pointlessness. Something you said struck, which was being miserable despite not being a fundamentally by nature upset person because I've felt the same for a few years at this point too.
    But still, today your channels have been a specially big blessing compared to other days and I am so thankful for positive and real energy you radiate. Regardless of what happens after, today was saved and that's one more reason to smile.
    Thank you once again, may even more great things come your way in the future.

    I’ve been watching you and your channel , for about 3 years now, enjoying all the things ! All the content, but this one, was by far my favorite, I feel like you were hands down the most real MaCenna , every day, emotional, proud, vulnerable, appreciative, happy, content, excited for your home, excited for your garden, showing the imperfections of creativity , it felt raw and honest ! I’m so proud of you guys ! ❤❤❤

    We love you, your drive, energy, motivation, and how you manage to still stay humble, but you are human. We are indeed in awe of everything you manage to accomplish and share with the world, but at the end of the day, please take time for yourself, or else your body will make sure you do. So happy for you and that outdoor area is truly a paradise on earth.

    I love that your creativity gets messy. Mine does as well. I’m thinking of you being reflective since you are turning 35. I remember 35. August I will be 71. Your ability to try something and not worry if it doesn’t turn out the way you imagined just makes me happy. Living in an unhappy marriage stunted my creativity. After being separated, I am blooming like your garden. Everything you do brings me joy. Thank you.

I’ve started 2 businesses now trying to figure it out, tomorrow a camera comes in so I can try another, RUclips 🤗 Thank you for the inspiration and the hardwork that has now given me even more proof that it is possible. Also, I’m sure someone’s already commented, but Star Jasmine are AMAZING for trellises. You can prune them to keep them from getting too leggy, but my husband (the gardener in our relationship) planted about 12 in our yard to create a hedge and they will cover our entire fence (5’ tall) within the next few years with care and minimal maintenance.

    I'm so proud of you MaCenna! Like seriously proud. I'll be 48 years old this year and I'm nowhere where I want to be in my life. You're so inspiring and such an amazing light. When the pandemic hit, like many I turned to creators online doing cool and creative things. I found you then and have watched "all the things" 😂 from your early stuff to your vlogs and the incredible work you've done in the cottage. I mean... WOW!!! I wish that I had a fraction of your drive, energy and zest to create, curate and produce beautiful artistry in every thing you do. You set yourself up for success and sweetie you've done such an amazing job. I feel like a proud big sister or something. 😊 A word you use often is progress. For years I've felt like a failure in life because of that failure to start mentality, like if I couldn't do something fully in my time and in my thought process why bother? Sadly that thinking and procrastinating on my own life only damaged myself. It's been a hard journey to find me again or maybe for the first time ever. So eventhough there was a time I went to school for interior design, and many years later got a degree in photography my creative spark diminished along the way. But I have to say thank you for your light. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful moments giving me encouragement and being the fun shopping buddy I wish I had. I'm a California girl born and raised, but live in the Midwest now. I'd love to have a home in both places too so I can totally relate to you in that too. It's a very special magical thing to be where you are at 35. It's a big deal. So feel all the feelings of your hard work and amazing support system. You deserve it all!!! XOXO much love! ❤

    Thank you for being so vulnerable with us. I turn 35 in July and there is so much that you do and say that resonates with me ❤️ My husband and I have been renovating our home for over 3 years now that we bought from my grandparents that was originally built in 1852, because we too do it all ourselves by hand but still work full time jobs - it’s taking us a bit of time 🤦🏼‍♀️ but things are finally coming to fruition - I love our hime we have built together and feel so great full for what we have been able to do here. I can look around our home and just smile and feel like - here I am, I’m where I need to be, this is home.
    No kids yet here either but I finally feel like I’m coming into myself too and starting to really feel grounded, maybe it’s something that just happens before turning 35. But jeez it’s about time! 😂

    So fun to see you enjoy your garden. The bear's breaches is an acanthus , you will notice some columns have that motif on the tops, they are called Corinthian columns. You will notice these in ancient Greek designs. Once you see it, they are everywhere. That plant will die back, i think in winter but don't worry it comes back! • @Lucinda_Jackson
      @Lucinda_Jackson 11 месяцев назад

      Me, too, even though I see the same show regularly in my own home. I had a sweet terrier who hated anything that moved on the ground. Vacuuming was hard, but she was afraid of it so she'd attack and run like Kinsley. She had zero fear of a broom (no noise) so that was a real fight and setting up the ironing board (you pull up and the legs sorta move along the floor) was a nightmare. The ironing board legs had rubbery plastic caps on the ends and she had a fondness like Kinsley's for lids and caps, too, so she'd attack and pull those off and carry them away and I'd have to retrieve them... So funny you couldn't really be mad.
