I forgot that I have a very similar pattern from the 1970s! Your dress is ridiculously cute with the growth pleats. I just may have to steal your concept for myself :-)
The skirt was such a long piece of plain fabric that the pleats really added a lot. If you decide to make this pattern, again, and want it long, I suggest you add the pleats to the pattern before cutting the fabric.
I love making pjs with old sheets. They’re so soft. The color looks like pistachio on my tv. I think it’s a popular color right now. ❤️
Pistachio is a great description of the color. 😉
So much cuter with the pleats 👍 Yes i use old sheets to back quilts too, so much material in them.
I know right. Fabric is just so expensive. 😉
That is a cute pattern! I like your thrifted sheet color too🎉
Thanks 😊
Love the grow pleats 🙂
Me too 😉
That's a really cute dress. On my phone that green looks chartreuse or lime, I like it. I had a knit top that color once upon a time.
I love the color. The old sheet was a good find.
Nice job! Love it! You could even do some embroidery on the bodice. Very bojo ❤
I was thinking the exact same thing. 😉 But I worry about my machine sometimes and I only had the one sheet. But next time for sure.
