I remember as a kid watching Formula 1 with my dad.
I remember a man appearing on screen quite briefly wearing a Jaguar cap(This was back when Niki was working with Jaguar)and I noticed his ear missing and some of the scars. I asked my dad what happened to him to which my dad replied “he was in an accident back when he raced in formula 1, guy was badly burnt”
I then asked my dad was he any good? And my dad replied “ one of the best son” and then proceeded to tell me about Niki’s career. Needless to say I was a huge Niki fan ever since and having recently watched Rush it reminded me about this guy Niki that me and my dad talked about when I was younger so I started looking up interviews with him and now I’m a die hard fan. I was always a Senna guy but Niki was just special in his own unique way, absolutely gutted he’s gone.
    R.I.P Champ.

Yes I did read the comment, niki was so different than any body in general, he was rude , not respectful to no one , attitude and most of all I couldn’t hate him but I found out that I always did respect him so much and liked niki so much only after he died
I’m still shocked, never knew it
I go all the time when I have a trouble and remember niki what would he say or do unfortunately he’s gone but alive in our hearts

She gave him a kidney but that was a very small price to pay for what she got in return. In Austria the Lauda name is a very powerful one because of the Lauda family.
