Several chisels are used for the production, but it is possible if there are cutting tools such as gouge and saw.

I have not seen this video before!
Led Zeppelin has a song called "Whole lotta love". Whole lot of love.
Your Job with this goblet was Whole lotta Work and love.
I love them a lot

Thank you for your comment!! I'm very happy to hear that. Getting from Japan🇯🇵🙇
Impressive tool control, This is beautiful art. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for rating. This is a very delicate and difficult task, so you can't stay alert. I will do my best to meet you again!
Brilliant work! I loved it. There were 100 times that I thought it was impossible to get thinner or longer. Simply amazing.
Thank you! Some trees have considerable strength, even in thin conditions. Others are soft and difficult to break even after drying. Please come to see again! 🙏
Oh Man, you had me biting my fingernails towards the end of the turning. Great work! Cheers...
Thank you for watching!!✨🇯🇵
It was a very long video, so the viewer would have been nervous.
The latest video summarizes this shortly!
It’s so nice to see that Turning is starting to really get noticed now in Japan and China as seems it’s not practiced that much out there you really are one of the Artists to keep eye on. It’s really a Beautiful Art I’ve been turning since age of about 17 now 47 it’s still as exciting and enjoyable as it ever was and you do inspire me when have no motivation. I am recovering from major Spinal surgery and watching your Videos and others stops me going mad while I can’t turn myself
I live in Japan and recently learned about woodturning.
I am still studying for more than a year for the first time.
"Inoue Shigenobu," who started woodturning for the first time in Japan, seems to have been working about 30 years ago.
Over the past few years, woodworking lathes have become more accessible, and I feel that cheaper models are being sold and spread.
I want to spread wood turning. Thanks for the nice comments!
yamabiko1220 if you have only been turning about a year your work is incredible if I can ever offer any advice or help please ask I have more than 30 years expierence but looking at your work don’t need any advice
I have a teacher with about 20 years of experience. It is "Super techsan" on RUclips. However, I have never met and received a lot of advice. Since I only owned the spindle gouge, I practiced only the spindle gouge and made no mistakes as a result. However, I am still studying, so if you have any mistakes, please teach me!
yamabiko1220
I have and still make mistakes it’s a craft you never stop learning old hands can teach the new turners but the old hands learn from the young it would be a pleasure to help you anyway I can
I want to grow with the audience!! Older teachers do not hesitate to comment. I'm still rough as a wood turner.
Humbly grateful for the quality we derive from your work. The tool control is magnificent. I didn't know I could hold my breath that long! Thanks for sharing, greetings from Greece
Before getting used to it, there was a lot of fatigue.
And there are still failures.
Thank you from Greece!✨✨
Absolutely Brilliant!…..I am in AWE……! Thank you.
Thank you for your comment!! I'm very happy to hear that. Greetings from Japan🙇🇯🇵
Love these. You are getting very good with the dialog text as you work describing the tools and technique.

Fantastic work, you showed great skill. The wood is very unusual but suits this well. Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much ! ! There are some mistakes, but if you can use the spindle gouge well, it is not difficult.
Superb tool control and a wonderful item... thank you for sharing your skills
Thank you!! Buster West!!✨✨
Gorgeous! I can't wait to try and fail at this !
Impressive and beautiful! 👏
Thank you so much!!✨Matisha81!!
Very nice tool control. delicate work. I am surprised that you do not need to use a steady rest for such a long stem with the weight of the top. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Thanks for your comment! Stability is better than expected. In one of my videos, I rotated at high speed without pushing the tailstock, but was surprised at the strength of the wood fibers.
Please process with high quality log!
Wow that’s so cool. Never seen that before just so impressed
This came from a Japanese wood turner making a similar work! Thanks for watching!
Great work, so delicate to handle. Very impressive
Thank you for your comment!!✨✨
Stunning art. Love it.
Thank you!!
I'm very happy to hear that!!
live your skill and design in wood work.
Thank you!! I'm very happy!!
that is really impressive technically and aesthetically.. Bravo!!
Thank you! I'm very happy!!✨
Oh jeez I almost couldn’t watch some times as I thought the wood would break. Beautiful work 👍🏻
Thank you very much!!✨🇯🇵
You may need a nerve of steel to watch this video. . . Thanks for watching! !

Very informative, thanks.

It's amazing.. defining physics.. it will be nice to see few out of aluminium made

Thank you so much!!✨✨
Great video! You must be pretty good at sharpening your tools as well, very nice!
Thank you very much!!👏✨🇯🇵
Nice run, at the lathe. 👍👌
Thin and long stems are tricky
I had many problems, in twisting them.
When I started the lathe, a lot of time, the live center, delay the spinning. Due to the wood twisting on the thin stem.
Well done!
👌👍👍👍
Thanks for your comment!!✨🇯🇵
I am not applying force on the tailstock side.
It is about supporting so that it does not swing.
Such a work is very nervous, but the finish is satisfactory!👏
Thanks, good vid
Thank you for your comment!! Greetings from Japan🙇🇯🇵
Another great job. At last someone calls it a "TENON" and not a "TENNANT" joint. Many thanks from UK.

Thank you.
Please come to see again next time! From Japan.
Cool! The clearest example of how straight arms and a bright head can make a work of art out of garbage. When pruning trees in the parks, such a tree is allowed into the shredder without hesitation.
Thank you very much!!✨
I wondered if I could do something instead of go to shredder.
Most of the wood I use is from the shredder!
@@YamabikoWoodArt So I myself didn’t want it but guessed about your competition to the shredder. It is doubly nice to hear it from you.
Your creativity has one more bright side - having spent a minimum of finances and having brought a maximum of skill, you have created a workplace for yourself that absolutely does not require production space - just a corner in the room and a table for the machine. You made yourself a free person.
Most people cannot even dream of such a thing.
I wish you good luck in your art.
Thank you very much!!🙇
I am very happy to hear such words!
We aim to be a writer that everyone can watching!!
You are an artist!

The next video will be a different version of the flower object I posted earlier. Near my house, some thin branches were broken by strong winds, so I plan to make a small piece for a while.
Bellissimo lavoro complimenti un controllo fuori dall'ordinario

Yamabiko I can only add my appreciation as others have already provided "Rave" reviews thanks

I remember Del Stubbs making these back in the 1980's.
Thanks for your comment! In Japan, wood turning has gradually spread, but it seems to be far from it. This was also made by those who became the first wood turners in Japan. It is a very nice design!✨
My first thought is, try these as percussion instruments.

Thank you!!✨✨
It is fantastic! I am in shock.
thanks for the comment!
In Japan where I live, some people were shocked and commented!
@@YamabikoWoodArt I am not surprised at this. And I'm afraid that I can’t achieve such perfection.
@@user-he4ti2ps5p It is relatively easy to choose greenwood / thin cork wood as a way to reduce production difficulties as much as possible.
Will try the opposite in the future.
@@YamabikoWoodArt It struck me that you are working without a lunette and there is no vibration.
@@user-he4ti2ps5p Thank you!
In order to eliminate vibration, the cutting edge becomes sharper as the thickness decreases.
The thickness is as thin as 0.5 mm or less.
According to my understanding of woodturning this should be impossible. Now I need to get a new understanding. Well made pieces.
Would you call them goblets? Maybe flat chalices?
thank you for your comment!
This is not a difficult task if you sharpen the blade well and follow the basic bevel raving, but you will need to concentrate.
This is called a wooden mushroom in Japan and is popular with housewives.
It's close to a goblet !!
Beautiful turning! What wood are you using? These colours are lovely.
Thanks for your feedback!
These trees use mainly greenwood.
The tree species used in this video is Styphnolobium japonicum, but I think it can be made from a variety of trees!
Combining various trees and colors / shapes will increase the artistic appeal ♪
@@YamabikoWoodArt I'm fairly certain that the wood is laburnum. It's also known as oyster wood as the cross sections look like oysters. Master cabinet makers sometimes use the cross sections as decorations in fine furniture. It's very hard to source in the UK but it's truly beautiful when polished.
It is amazing! One of the most beautiful pieces I have seen coming out of the lather. Congratulations. Are them for sale?
Thank you for your comment!!
Currently, we cannot ship products from Japan due to the influence of the virus. We will sell it as the number of airplanes increases. One is about $ 65.

Ok. I will wait until you can ship then to Europe. I'd love to have one at home. Keep safe.
nice ;)
Thank you !!
Beautiful and delicate! What kind of wood are you using?
Thank you very much!!
The type of wood is "Styphnolobium japonicum"!
pith is very dark brown and hard.
I can tell its on purpose but he uneven wobbly look of the cup is just visually unsettling to me on a personal level.
I agree with you there
How do you keep the bottom from splitting around the heartwood when it dries?
In the case of unpainted, it will not break if it is 1cm or less.
If it is thick like this work, please be sure to paint.
I use a Japanese product called "Kigatame Ace" to keep the feel.

Most impressive. What finish do you use?
Thank you very much!!
It is a penetrating curing agent called Japanese Kigatame Ace!
Strength can be obtained even with thin wood.
great work! thank you for video. what kind of wood do you use?
Thank you!! The type of this tree is "Japanese Pacoda Tree"!
Can you confirm pacoda tree?
This is the one with the cut branches, but the cuter said so!

amazing work! do you have an online store?
Thank you so much!!
Online sales are currently under preparation.
I'm studying to be able to ship overseas, but it's difficult to get time.
Most of the video works are on sale because they are at hand!
The start date will be announced one week ago in the community.
What finish are you useing?
Thanks for your comment!
We apply paint that hardens the wood so that the cork does not come off due to deformation.
Still, the broken wood hardens the cork with instant glue.
what type of wood are you using?
This tree is "sophora".
Ideally, it is hardwood, but you can usually use greenwood!
Why not make a stem that won’t break? Sell more? Cool
Thank you so much!!✨
This branch seemed to have cracks from the beginning because it was old.
I am studying overseas shipping to be able to sell!
We will announce the start of sales in the community!
yamabiko1220 I mean like atleast make it thicker or drill out a hole in the middle of the stem and fill it with a strong resin or maybe even a metal? Just some food for thought
@@SoultalkOG The cracks in this work were treated with fine wood chips and instant glue.

yo know that it will break as soon as it dries
Thanks for your comment! It will not break by digging the bottom of the bottom as much as possible. In addition, because the paint is applied, trees that are easily damaged are not broken! Try it!
