Professional cook here, you can use the liquid off of the chickpeas to add back to the hummus instead of oil, or if you need it to not be so stiff. I made hummus all the time and we never added oil to it. Roasted red pepper was my favorite too!. You can also whip the liquiid, add sweetner, and use it like whipped cream. Our pastry chef did that for people who were vegan or had dairy allergies.

Hello Adelina & Sophie and yes I did see her behind you a few times. Always nice to see her. So , definitely going to be making this . Sounds so delicious! Also, I was so overwhelmed with other goodie’s at Christmas that I put baking on the back burner . I finally did make the spice pumpkin cookies as an activity with a 4 yr old I look after. We both loved them . I have to tell you that seeing your videos on recipes has been inspirational for me being a senior. I’m more app to bake or cook once again. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day. 😊🍪🍞👩‍🍳

I love roasted red peppers and hummus! I will try your recipe. I follow keto way of eating because I'm diabetic. No more insulin injections , yay!! 🤗🤗.
Since tomatoes have a lot of carbs Pizza sauce is an issue. I also found a jar of roasted red pepper but mine was spread. I tried it on my fat head pizza crust and oh my, what a happy find. I love it better than tomato sauce. I've got many "Big Red pepper plants under lights right now getting ready to someday produce many red peppers for my spread!.
1 Cup roasted red pepper strips
    2 tsp. olive oil
    1 tsp basalmic vinegar
    1/2 tsp onion powder
    1/8 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp pepper.
    Process.

Thank you Adelina! I have a couple jars of those peppers from the dollar store and I’m excited to use one for this recipe. My jars already have whole garlic cloves. We have made a few types, even one with cocoa and maple syrup. We love hummus!

Perfect, yet again, Adelina. The thing I love most about your recipes (aside from deliciousness!) is that I can usually make them the same day. They are easy and made with things most of us vegans already have on hand. And somehow you seem to make exactly what I had been thinking of... 🙏 I just finished my chickpea salad today and was dreaming of red-pepper hummus wraps tomorrow. 😊

I love roasted red pepper hummus ❤ And make it all the time!😊 I also use the liquid from peppers instead of oil! Only thing I haven’t added was sweet paprika so I’ll try that next time! I always look forward to your great recipes! Thanks for sharing!❤️

    Adelina!!! Yaaay!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I’m finally getting around to watching this video… it looks so easy and I’m sure it excellent!!! You know me, I won’t be adding the oil, but I’ll use the Aquafaba (liquid from the chickpeas) instead. Hopefully, I will get this made this afternoon and I’ll let you know. I will probably thin some of it down for salad dressing… I’ve got a salad already to eat for tonight and one for tomorrow. This will be PERFECT!!!
I’m so glad I searched TINY HOUSES out a couple years ago and found you. What a bonus you post vegan recipes!! 🎉🎉🎉
    Thank you!!!

I love hummus and your recipe looks delicious. But I have a question regarding tahini : what else can I do with it ? It's rather expensive, and buying it just for one dish and throwing out the rest would be wasteful.

    • @myBIGtinyhouselife
      @myBIGtinyhouselife  Год назад +1

It's often used in dressings. It will be cheaper if you can find it in an ethnic food store. Check out Simnett Nutrition. He uses it lots. ruclips.net/video/SzH9DNRCQgQ/видео.html

I add 2 tbs of tahini to a drained 3oz can of tuna along wth chopped parsley and finely shredded carrots stuffed into a whole wheat pita . Or spread on crackers. Tahini will last refrigerated for quite awhile.
